Roleplay Interests: Star Trek, Final Fantasy VII, Pokémon and FFXIV. Pretty much exclusively right now. Doctor Who if you can sell me on a plot idea. I am very hesitant to roleplay in an original world, because I enjoy fleshing out my characters, and a lot of times original worlds lack a lot of the information I need to effectively roleplay. I roleplay PG-13 scenarios. I'm 30 IRL, but mature themes just aren't my cup of tea in general. If you desire more, I’m open to conversation. I tend to avoid relationship-based RPs, though some of my characters are more prone to it than others. I have no control over Emet-Selch—he does what he wants.
Roleplay Style: For the most part, I can't RP a child. Which of course is entirely awkward for most Pokémon RPs, so on the whole I'd much prefer to RP a Pokémon instead of a Trainer. I also largely RP males, though I've been known to play other things. I'm also entirely fine RPing Canon characters of my preferred Fandoms, and I like to think I do a good job? You can expect two paragraphs minimum from me, pretty much universally, with no cap. Sometimes I won't shut up. That said, I try to write concise posts—meat and potatoes. Once upon a time I wrote in purple, but I really don't have time for that anymore. With certain partners I can do bursts of rapid-fire, but at that point my responses will shorten.

With the confirmation that the Totodile was fine, Olivier closed his eyes, letting out a relieved sigh. Speaking with his typically feminine voice, he addressed the Totodile, "...I'm glad to see you're all right." Looking down at his own hands, he would let out a sad chuckle, giving a response to the black-haired Trainer. "...I'm sure I'll be all right too. I think I just... scuffed my hands. Nothing, major..."
The Metagross' laughter was, while expected, a bit unnerving. Taking a few awkward moments, Olivier attempted to diffuse the situation by initiating small-talk, and hopefully diverting the attention from himself to Wye. "...Sooo... are you from Viore? You have some... well-trained Pokémon with you..."

Pent's Pokémon both quietly awaited the Houndoom's arrival. Shinon noted that it appeared that the Houndoom... probably stole a lot to achieve this goal, but he could not complain. Not when his Trainer's life was at stake. Standing over Pent's crumpled form, he was powerless. Lowering his head, the Lucario though to himself, Please, Pent... hold on.
The pair watched as the man went to work, doing absolutely nothing to stop him. Once Pent was completely wrapped up, Shinon looked up to the man with a nod. With a sharp bark, the Lucario replied in Poké-speak, <If you can... yes, please.>
Putting her arms together, the Ghost-type let out a soft sigh, her gaze fixed on her Trainer. <...I can't believe this happened.>
The pain quickly began to subside as the painkiller began to spread across his body. Most importantly his leg. Still, Pent was out cold.

Libra the Ralts[Route 701 - Pokémon Center]

Sitting alone at a table, Olivier had his hand upon his chin, staring blankly at some non-descript item across the room. Libra was hurt pretty badly. I had no idea that simple forest Pokémon could be truly that dangerous. Yes, I know they mentioned they were in school, but I... I thought Libra would be strong. I really thought we'd be fine, and now... His form wilted as he felt himself wracked with guilt.
Brows furrowed, he let out an aggravated grunt. I can't just sit here and feel sorry for myself. Libra's tough, he'll be fine. Maybe I should just go for a walk or something until the nurse calls for me.
Picking himself from his seat, he looked out of one of the large glass windows only to see a man with several well-trained Pokémon. Immediately sitting back down he hung his head. ...oh great. If he challenges me, I get to wait here again... well... for now, since I don't have any usable Pokémon, I should be all right. I can just... take a walk outside. Right? Probably.
Once again, Olivier picked himself up, confidently making his way towards the door. Pushing open the Center's double doors, the man standing in the courtyard would get a clear view of the blonde. The feminine figure would appear around 15-17 at a glance, with fair features and a slender frame. Olivier was currently in his Academy Uniform; a black suit top and pants with a red tie and white undershirt. The academy logo would be embroidered upon the collar.
Slipping past the door, the blonde's green eyes would scan the courtyard, in hopes to find a bench, or something to to occupy himself with. Making his way towards a bench, he did his best to slip past the veteran Trainer.
Keeping his eye on the black-haired man, he didn't notice the small Totodile that was standing between him and the bench he had sought out. His foot caught something, and upon noticing that his balance was off, he looked down.
"O-Oh...No, no nono....." Was about all he could mutter before he fell forward over the Pokémon's tail, his hands thankfully stopping what would've been an embarrassing face-plant. Still though, it wasn't exactly graceful. With a groan, and now scraped hands, Olivier picked himself back up, brushing the debris from his pants. Great, if he didn't want a battle before, he'll probably kick my ass now since I tripped over his partner. Hrngh.
Turning back over to the Totodile, he shot it an apologetic glance before speaking, "...Sorry... I should've been watching where I was walking..."

Olivier Laine
Golden locks flow down Olivier's shoulders in varying lengths, some portions of it braided off to the side. From first appearances, from his large, feminine eyes, to his delicate features, it's safe to assume that Olivier is a young woman. However, he would be seen wearing a male academy uniform.

Age: 17
Personality: Olivier suffers from many deep-seeded insecurities, and as such can be emotionally volatile. At his core, he is a genuinely sweet, caring individual who simply craves to be accepted by his peers. He is incredibly competitive, however unless he feels his competency is being challenged, he can keep such feelings in check.
His weakness is cute Pokémon and babies.
Hometown/Region: Anistar City
History: Olivier grew up attending a variety of boarding schools. As soon as he was old enough, his parents shipped him away and never looked back. He attended school in Lumiose City for many years before being accepted into The Kobukan Academy of Advanced Pokémon Arts & Sciences.
Excelling in his studies, he was urged by his teacher to enroll in their field study program, which sent him out to a region of his choosing to train for a few months before returning.
The region of his choosing was of course, Viore. With his Ralts—which was provided by the school for a final project of sorts—he is determined to be the very best.
Pokemon
Other: Olivier has anorchism, a developmental disorder causing him to essentially appear as a prepubescent female. Unlike many with anorchism, Olivier does strongly identify as a male.
Since Olivier had few friends at school, he spent much of his time running battle simulations. As such, he's an incredibly skillful tactician.

Basically people just arrived and got their pokedexes, and the group is currently getting supplies at a poke mart in New Amber. A battle just finished just outside the Pokémon Center which was a pretty big spectacle. Otherwise I think Keldeo was going to put a character in the closest route's Pokémon center (701 I think?), and I'll probably just start Olivier wherever you start. Wouldn't do it past the first route's center though, so New Amber or 701 center.

Feel free to be as mean to him as you need to be ICly. I personally give 0 fucks about gender pronouns, labels, etc for myself even though I'm sure tumblr has a fancy name for me. :3
