We'll just have to make sure that the pace doesn't get too stale, ie: ensure there's a good motive.

In reference to the sig, very nice start. Your colours may need some toning adjustments with grad maps and filters, but it's a brilliant effort to start with.

The banner of Lugia flowed gently under the breeze that whispered through the open windows. It's ripples were memorising and soothing to those who actually took the time and effort to admire the artisanship. A carefully woven fabric that glowed under the light; a statement of pride for the people that it represented. The room had a soothing atmosphere that was interrupted by the sounds of belching and slurps. People from the different nations gathered here under invitation from the Emperor of Phoenicis all filling their bellies with the various creatures of the land. Each one prepared in a different manner with varying taste, spices, and berry sauce seasoning.

Under the flowing banner sat a younger female, but considering the average age of the group she was surrounded by she felt as if she was part of the older demographic. She sat there and stared down at her meal, poking it with a fork and trying to work out how an ekans steak turned out to be bright green considering the pokemon was naturally purple.

"It's gotta be a shiny," Jin grimaced as she poked it again and listened to the farting noise that it make with every touch. It was her choice to try something exotic, but for a meal this just didn't seem to appeal to her appetite.

"Not interested in the python?" a man from opposite the table called out to her.

"I dunno, eating green meat just doesn't excite me," she spoke with disappointment as she let her arm drop onto the seat next to her and she began to rub her Staryu for comfort. "I might stick to the mareep cutlets. I usually have them back at home."

"That's understandable," he replied, leaning over to pull the plate away her and towards his side of the table. He then proceeded to serve up a fresh dish of cutlets and poured some Leppa sauce over the top, letting the hot sauce ooze it's way over the meat before calmly placing the dish before the girl. "There's no need to try exotic foods here. No one is going to judge your skills based on your dietary preferences. I already saw you give a funny look to the seafood..."

"It's not the seafood," Jin interrupted coldly, "it's just the tempura starmie." She looked down at her Staryu noticing the gem was cold and black, indicating that 'he' was asleep. His arms waved back and forth ever so slightly giving the impression that he was swimming in the ocean.

It must have been a good dream.

Daisuke is a Japanese name and your character is from Aurios, a Western Prefecture, so you'd see names like Phillip, Scott, Michael, more so than Japanese names (Makoto, Byakuya, Fuyuhiko, etc).

I know I may not have made it so clear, but I came over for this RP from another site where it failed. It was a lot of fun but people just couldn't stay with it. Looking forward to a second run!

That sometimes happens, luck of the draw. I recognise a few names here so that's a bit of confidence. The hard part is generally when people get to the Mid-Game and loose sight of their goals, aspirations, and quest. That's why I personally like weaker characters, and characters that may fail a lot as they can fight their way to victory rather than automatically win.

Upon completing her Training, Jin used her savings to purchase a sword in which she could protect herself with. With a disliking to the generic curved design of the Katanas she found a blacksmith that designed her a Ninjato, a straight sword variation. She keeps the sword strapped to her side where she can pull it out easily to defend herself. If needed she is able to slip out the sheath from it's holster and use it as a parrying device.

Moveset: Surf - Psychic - Swift - Ice Beam
Gender: Genderless (Referred to as Male)
General Info: Staryu was a childhood gift to Jin. Her father gave her the Pokemon when he noticed that she would often lay outside and gaze up at the night sky. In his words he mentioned that she now has her very own star and even if the sky was unable to be seen, Staryu would surely light up the way.
Personality: Staryu is a bit of a character. Mostly cheerful and obedient, like a well diciplined child. That being said, 'he' has been known to fill the entire house with bubbles for comedy factor.

Spiritomb

Moveset: Curse - Confusion Ray - Toxic - Foul Play
Gender: Male
General Info: Jin noticed that her Grandmother would always carry this unusual shaped stone around with her all the time. When Jin told her that she obtained a letter from the Emperor, her Grandmother gave her the stone and told Jin to only call upon the sleeping pokemon inside in the most dire of situations.
Personality: Jin is unaware of Spiritomb's personality, but he is an aggressive Pokemon that will turn it's opponent's strength against itself rather than fighting directly. Being composed of 108 souls he often shows signs of multiple personalities.

Personality: Jin is mostly caring and quiet, choosing to help others whenever the opportunity is made possible. She will have the occasional outburst of anger but it is mostly because her intentions mean well as opposed to hatred. She will often meditate alone using the time to hone her fighting skills and calm her thoughts.

Short Biography: Approximately 50 years ago, Jin's grandmother fled the Xiurong region with her then young daughter, Jin's mother. The two of them migrated to the Argent region in the hopes of setting up a new life away from the destructive beast that destroyed the land. With Jin's grandmother unwilling to talk about the past, and her own mother too young to understand what was going on, Jin's heritage is shrouded with mystery and emptiness.

Over the years Jin learnt the art of self-defence and sword fighting, using those skills to enter into a local guard regiment in order to progress and serve the Argent military. During that time she obtained a notification from the Emperor of Phoenicis and believed her best course of action would be to investigate, hoping that it would shed some light on the past and help secure a better future.
