Alyon's heart stopped for a moment as Fraya's hand never reached her own, but seeing Fraya grab a hold of the rail gave her a sigh of relief. It wasn't until Fraya climbed onto the ledge that Alyon realised her claws could have dug into her skin. She's not a human, remember that, her mind called out to her in an unwilling, listening to the Devil fashion. She didn't want to listen to it and wanted to believe otherwise, but it sadly it was the truth.

Disregarding the thought as a moment lapse in concentration, Alyon walked in between the two carriages and pulled back one of the sliding doors. "Over here!" she called out, "Being a freight vehicle we're not going to have first class service for this trip, but once we get to our first stop we might be able to afford a true train ride" She made an emphasis on the quality of the ride that they were getting this time round as a means to make a point that train rides have different qualities of travel and purposes.

Upon entering the carriage they noticed a lock cage to the sides of the compartment and a large open area in the center that was filled with pallets of supplies. Alyon walked over to one of the pallets and sat upon the large box that was sitting on top, throwing her pack down next to her. She pulled it open and started to rummage through the bag, pulling out whatever food they had left and anything that was likely to perish soon. She picked up an apple and pulled out her Hunter's knife in order to cut it up into quarters so that it could be eaten.

"Eat up," she spoke out with a mouth full of food as she handed a quarter over to Fraya, "It might be an hour or so til we can get off this train, so lets try and eat without any more disruptions to our meal." She ended up what she said with a slight smile, trying to look at the positives of their situation.
Just letting you all know that I know my post have been a bit lacking lately, but that's also because I have a comp this weekend, which brings up my next point...

Australian RC Nationals from the 5th to the 8th (yes, 4 day race event). Biggest RC car comp I've ever entered into and I probably won't be available to post much, if at during those days.
Alyon stood up and threw her pack over her shoulder. "I believe the line is south of here as it generally goes from east to west. We might be lucky and see a train that we can jump on and hitch a ride to the next town that it stops at." As she started to walk towards the gate with Fraya, the girl popped a curious question about Alyon's father.

"He's a nice man, but rather quiet ever since my mother died. I think I'm starting to understand why..." she looked at Fraya for a moment, examining her body ever so slightly, "At the moment he would be freaked out," she nervously spoke, referring to the blood that was drying up on her skin, "but he's met a few different races in his time so he's pretty accommodating."

The two of them ventured south, moving to the edge of the barren land and safely through the forest and landscape until they eventually came across a lone rail track. It sat there glistening in the sun of the open plain with the two girls walking beside it, following the path towards the next city stop. As time passed on and the the two walked they eventually heard the faint clacking of a locomotive coming from behind them.

"Are you ready Fraya? Cause this machine is not going to stop for us," Alyon announced, raising her voice the more the train approached until it reached them with a deafening rattle.

Alyon began to run along the side of the carriages, trying hard to make as much speed as possible so that she could take a chance at fate. Looking up, she could see the end of one carriage and some rails that she would be able to grab onto. She held out her arm in order to grab the bar without putting herself in too much danger and took a leap. She landed on the edge, feet dangling over the side of the platform, and using as much strength as possible she pulled her body onto the rear of the carriage.

Turning around she saw Fraya behind her, making her move to leap onto the train. Holding out her hand and grabbing a hold of an edge she called out to the running girl, "C'mon!"
So just another brainstorming session.

I was thinking that maybe to help keep things moving along I might do a lil timeskip to one of the cities so that we can board a train. (I'm pretty sure that we spent enough time around this particular area) We could also have a bit of interaction within the city, sell the sabres, explore it a bit, visit a few locations within there, and board the train when ready?

In saying that, was there anything that you wanted to cover as well? You haven't met much about Fraya's memories of her previous life and I don't wanna drag your character from here to there if you have any ideas on stuff that you want to do.

As a side thought, let's say a particular post is edited by a member a lot for uses of spite, can the mods get a tool to lock that post so it can't be edited? (Eg char sheets, original posts, etc)
@ADParis didn't I tell you I like to put my characters through he'll, some to the point where they've lost limbs. xD

@M127 sorry dude, won't be available for a bit. Got work til we'd, then a big race meet for 4 days, not to also mention I'm actually sick. :\
@NuttsnBolts Ay Nutter tried to make the movements inconsequential, but if you're not alright with Blur moving the Mad-E out into the open just holler and I'll cut it!

Oh, that's not a problem at all. :)
I somewhat thought that 'something' would happen that like that at some point, and in the grand scheme of things it's only a move. xD
Madison Cole

Two adults were standing by a little girl as she stood up on the dining chair to look at the delicious birthday cake that had been made specially for her. She could hear them happily sing happy birthday as she eagerly blew out the candles that were standing right in the very center, making the compulsory wish that every child made on their special day.

"Horray Madison!" the mother called out as she leaned over and hugged her daughter, giving Madison a tight squeeze that made the girl giggle, "Honey, do you want to go get her birthday present?"

"Sure, I'll be right back," the husband spoke as he went to go to another room of the house, but a loud knock at the front door quickly changed the mood of the happy celebrations. He walked over and opened the door asking who was there, but instead of facing a friendly neighbour that was probably coming over to give Madison a well earned congratulations, he was greeted by a large fist and an excruciating pain in the gut.

Madison's mother froze in horror as she saw her husband drop to the ground and these large, burly men walk over him, entering the household without anyone's permission. "We received information that this village is harbouring NC equipment," One of the men started as he addressed the household, "We are hear to address these claims and deal punishment for those that are harbouring such technology without company approval."

"We don't know anything about NC technology..." groaned the father on the ground, just as one of the brutes turned around and placed his boot on the man's chest.

"See, we know that's a lie due to our sources, and if you're not going to talk, we'll make you..." Straight away he lifted his hand to the gun holstered on the side of his pants, flicking the safety off and lifting it up to aim it at Madison's mother, and pulled the trigger.

"Mommy?" Madison spoke out as she watched her mother fall to the floor in a limp heap, red flying everywhere over the dining room. She turned to her father and saw the argument escalate to the point where they were punching the man and making threats about harming his own daughter. It reached a critical point where another gun was pulled and a second shot was fired, leaving Madison an orphan for the first time in her life.

The first man that entered the home walked over to the young child who was still standing on the chair and leaned over to talk to her, "Now I don't like killing children, so think yourself lucky lil girl, however take note of this... Your parents are dead because they wanted to remain quiet about how they did a very, very naughty thing."

"If you're quiet, you're dead? I don't want to be quiet." The tears started welling up in the poor girls eyes as the man grinned a sinister grin before getting up and commanding his troops out, explaining that they didn't have time to play babysitter for the girl and leaving Madison alone in a house that used to be called her home. As soon as he left Madison climbed down off the chair and walked over to her mother's side, grabbing the right hand and shaking it as best as she could, "Mommy? Mommy? Don't be quiet." The tears started to fill her eyes as she started to stamp her feet, "Mommy! Don't be quiet, be noisy like me! Be noisy like me."

...

"...be noisy like me," Madison's eyes slowly opened as she was greeted by a darkened room that held little more than a bunch of levers and glowing lights. The jerking and movement of the NC from Blur had been enough to wake her up from the nightmare she was experiencing. She felt that her body was somewhat limp and laid all over the control panel of her NC. Using as much strength as she could, she placed her hands on the surface and slid her body back into the chair.

Giving a little sniff she felt her eyes fill with tears as the memories of her childhood started to flood back in for some unknown reason, memories that she hadn't experienced in almost 2 decades. Lifting her hand she wiped underneath her nose, but all she was doing was wiping the dripping blood across her face and onto the back of her hand. Madison then proceeded to pull her legs up to her chest and curl up into a ball, knowing that this time she really did make a mess of things.

Dropping her head into her knees she started speaking to herself, "I don't know why I even like NCs when mum and dad were killed because of them. I'm not even a good pilot. I can't even sync properly. And I make stupid mistakes like this." She held her arms around her knees and pushed her face even further into her legs. "I just don't want to be alone again. I don't want to die here. I don't want to be quiet."

As she cried alone in her NC muttering little phrases, the sound of scraping metal could be heard on the edge of the emergency exit hatch of the Mad-e.
The way Fraya spoke about the situation at hand did present a real possibility that the two of them should head back to Alyon's home. It had been a while since she had seen her father so taking the time to head back and bring him a souvineer would most likely make him happy. If no one was interested in the Artifact it could even be smelted down and sold off as a resource material, but it probably wouldn't fetch nearly as much in the marketplace.

"It's not going to be a short trip in order to head back home," Alyon spoke, calculating roughly how far they come and the direction that they most likely will need to take. "If we go by road it may take a couple of weeks, but I do know that there is a train line that runs from our town through several of the major cities. If we can end up at one of those stations it may make it easier on us overall." Walking over to where the hooded man's body laid, she picked up the two sabres and examined them. "We can even sell these and earn some money to afford a decent trip with a proper meal."

Alyon started to walk towards the entrance of the Crypt in order to get some fresh air. When she walked outside the entrance she shielded her eyes from the harsh sun as she sat down on a ledge and pulled out a water container from her pack, taking a sip. For the first time in several days she was able to relax without feeling like they were going to be ambushed by tree spirits, or hooded men, or any other unfavourable characters.
