Current How do people get their roleplays to last years? I can barely find any that get off the ground.

I just made Cinnamon Apple Snickerdoodle Cupcakes. I also may have been heavily drinking while making them. Either way, the house smells great!

Bio

Hello!

I've been on a roleplaying hiatus for quite some time but I'm ready to come back to it! I used to roleplay mainly on an avatar based site called Gaia Online. I was more into what they called "literate" role plays: that is, what looks to be your casual to advanced roleplays. As of right now, I'm more interested in the casual ones. I might go into advanced at some point, but for now, I think casual will be for me.

I've done a wide variety of subjects. My favorites are:
-medieval/fantasy
-romance
-super powers or super hero
-psychological
-some sci-fi from time to time

I really enjoy original stories/premises for role plays but I'm also okay with doing something based in an existing world with original characters. I like fast-paced role plays with plenty of action and adventure. I'm good with both group stories and 1 on 1. While I tend to prefer playing male characters, I'm up to playing either gender. I'm also up to 18+ content. I'm not quite sure how far I'm willing to go as far as smut is concerned, but I will let you know once I've hit my limit!

I'm a gamer, especially rpg's (big shock there) and I enjoy fantasy television and movies. I'm very into Game of Thrones right now. I've seen every episode and I started reading the books though I only made it to book 2 or 3...I don't remember, it was a while ago. I also like older Legend of Zelda (I stopped playing the new ones after Twilight Princess came out), the Fallout games, Skyrim, I'm currently playing Witcher 3 (which I got as a gift. Unfortunately, I have not playing the previous two, but I would like to), the Fable games, I played some of the Batman Arkham games, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (the console game, but I also played the mmorpg for a while) and more I can't think of at the moment. As far as movie and tv goes, I like Lord of the Rings, Stranger Things, the Batman universe, Star Wars, Sucker Punch etc.

If you have a role play you want to start soon or need new members in that you think I might like, let me know! I'm always looking for new stories.

If you want to check out some of my art, check out my DeviantArt page. I will hopefully have some of my original characters up there once I start drawing again.

And if you like my art, check out my RedBubble Store!

@Drakey Yeah I forgot to edit that out. I fixed it, there is no nephew, that was just leftover from an idea I had forever ago that I forgot to get rid of.

But you're good to post in the character tab.

To Everyone: We can start soon, though I think we need a few more characters to fill things out.
@Migyudon Sounds good, go ahead and post in the character tab.
@Sailorsadie Looks good! Go ahead and post in the character tab.
@Allie Sounds good to me. You may post in the character tab.

Hunter's Guild Captain

Hunter’s Name: Drystan Haalard

Age: 28

Appearance:

Drystan stands at about six feet tall with a muscular build achieved through years of combat. He has a square jaw covered in a short, brown beard and mustache. His hair falls just below his shoulders, often pulled back loosely. He has dark green eyes under thick brows with a long, jagged scar just missing his right eye. He almost always wears at least his leather bracers over a loose-fitted shirt when he's not in combat.

Weapon of choice: Drystan uses swords, primarily, but also keeps a pair of daggers with him. He is able to use a bow when needed, but he is not proficient.

Armor of choice: Drystan has a full suit of leather armor for it's minimal protections while still allowing him fair range of motion. He rarely, if ever, wears anything heavier.

Strengths: Skilled Combatant: Drystn is especially proficient in swordplay. He is strong and agile, making him a very capable fighter.
Confident and Fearless: He can be a little full of himself and is never known to shy away from a fight.
Pain Tolerance: Having sustained numerous injuries of varying severity, Drystan has a very high pain tolerance.
Persistent: When given a job, Drystan is persistent and will not stop until the job gets done.

Weaknesses: Arrogant: Drystan tends to think a bit too highly of his skills and his looks.
Sadomasochism: He enjoys his line of work of inflicting pain on others and even sometimes enjoying the pain inflicted on himself.
Remorseless: He feels little to no guilt in hurting others, even innocents.
Inexperienced with Bows: Drystan spends most of his training with melee weapons and is not a very good shot.

Personality: Drystan is a man of few words, preferring fighting to chatting. When he does speak, he is rather dry and cynical. He is a bit of an adrenaline junkie, often starting fights just for the fun of it. He's not much of a people person, though he does enjoy the occasional bar night, although he usually spends more time people-watching than chatting.

History: Drystan grew up in Sankt Gallen on the outskirts of Belvoir. Being located so far away from the main city, the city-folk often had to fend for themselves. Drystan grew up fighting. From the time he was a child, he had a training sword he carried around to help fend off some of the smaller threats. As he grew older and more skilled, he was trusted with smaller swords or daggers.

As he grew older, he quickly became fed up with the lone city and it's people. He spent the next few years slowly making his way to Rothenburg, staying in the few cities on the road between. He picked up jobs killing the creatures threatening the townspeople as well as simple bounties. He would move on once the jobs ran out and/or he grew bored.

When he made it to Rothenburg, he took a job as a Royal Guard. He didn't particularly enjoy the work, but he made good coin. Once the King founded the Hunter's Guild, Drystan was the first person he spoke to. Happy to move on to a more exciting prospect, he eagerly accepted, becoming the first Captain of the Hunter's Guild.
Application

Make sure you get permission to post here before doing so!

I also encourage multiple characters, if you are able, as I want a variety of characters. I don't want all hunters or all monsters, I want some civilians to get stuck in the midst of the fighting and politics. I highly encourage any drama in the roleplay as long as it doesn't spill over into the OOC. Story drama = Fun and interesting. Real Life Drama = Something No One Needs.

Rules

These rules should mostly be common sense: don't start any trouble and we should be fine.

1. Be courteous to other players, don't provoke or get into fights in the ooc.
2. Listen to the GM and any mods that may make requests
3. Either send your CS to me for approval before posting in the character tab or post it in the OOC page for approval.
4. Try to keep your posts interesting. A paragraph or two is preferred but creativity is more important than length. Make sure you put some thought into it before you post.
5. No overpowered characters, godmodding, controlling other characters without the owners permission, etc.
6. I'm not going to limit the number of characters you can play. It's up to you to decide how many you can handle.
7. This is an 18+ roleplay so fighting, gore, romance is accepted, just follow the Guild's rules with how far you take it.
8. Please try to be fairly active. Try to post in the IC or OOC at least once every few days, if not more.
9. Just use common sense and have fun!

Discord Channel

Feel free to use the Discord Channel for discussions with each other. Plot, talk about character developement, or just to chat.

Application

Please send your character sheet to me or post it in ooc for me to approve before posting it to the character tab.

The only creatures available for humans to become are lycans and vampires. While I would allow someone to turn into a wendigo, note that once a human transforms, they don't turn back. They also lose a lot of their humanity and become more animalistic. If you are going to play as a creature, we may need to work together to make sure the story of your character has to match some of the unknown background of the story.

The World of Belvoir

Belvoir is a bustling Kingdom with many cities, towns and farmlands. The capital city of Rothenburg is where the King resides along with his trusted advisers. Upon first glance, Rothenburg seems like a typical medieval city but closer observations reveal its many dark secrets. Things have always been mildly dangerous for the average peasant but recently, things have gotten much more deadly. New monsters have begun popping up, frequently attacking villagers and noblemen alike. They don't just attack outside the city walls any longer, now they have begun stalking prey inside the city.

That is where the new Hunters Guild is coming in to play. The King has sent word around for any exceptional man or woman to help protect the Kingdom's innocent people. The word has been spread quietly, only those of the utmost skill and reputation have gotten invitations. Due to the nature of the job, the King and his royal council wish to keep it quiet, exterminating the dangers that roam the Kingdom without drawing the attention of the common-folk.

On top of the frequent monster attacks, there is a number of corruption, secrets and affairs that happen behind the scenes in the noble houses. Everyone knows that the Three Families are powerful, but just how powerful? Who really runs the Kingdom?

World Info

Here are some basic details about the world the roleplay will be taking place in. There is a lot of info here so don't feel obligated to read it all right away. You may skim it to get an idea of how things work and I would recommend reading most of it before starting, but it is not required.
