- Ty || Typhlosion || Starter. Ty is Colton's personal favorite, because Ty is the one who got him back into the game.
- Damon || Machoke || Damon remains Matt's 'workout buddy'. They run and do whatever else Matt feels necessary to keep up his slim, fit figure. Damon is always up to the task.
- Opie || Dragonite || Opie has actually been a part of the family for years, found as a young Dratini in their backyard pond. Colton befriended Opie and kept him around the house and took care of him. It wasn't till Matt got his second wind as a trainer that he asked Opie to tag along. By that time he'd turned into a Dragonair, but of course, he's since taken his final form.
"I was originally a Gym leader. My team were up there among some of the most unbeatable teams out there, and we all suffered a great fall. It took a long time to convince the courts I hadn't been the one to order what had happened that year. I was 21-years-old when the incident happened, and had been a Gym Leader for two years prior to it all. My Zoroark was my top guy on the team, and we were in a battle of a lifetime. By some miracle, we won against this amazing trainer that had stepped through our gates and challenged us to a battle. Zoroark, no matter how much I tried to train him otherwise, kept to his dirty ways of fighting. He'd been the cause of us getting into trouble in the past, and this time he'd taken it much too far. He barely held on longer than the challenger's pokemon did, and once the trainer withdrew his pokemon, Zoroark somehow found the strength to close the distance between the two of them. Zoroark fatally wounded this man, and put him into a hospital bed for several months. I don't know what got into Zor's mind that day, but he lost it. When he finished with the man, he'd turned on me with an evil grin and a glint in his reddened eyes I'd never seen before, like he'd enjoyed attacking the poor guy. It sickened me. After the courts finally ruled me Not Guilty in the whole thing, Zoroark was of course taken away and I was set free once again on one condition. I had to let go of the Gym and stay away from any in the future. I had no choice but to accept. I spent a couple years avoiding the use of pokemon, at least for fighting, that is. I spent those years being a farmhand on my family's ranch, until my sister came back from her own adventures and convinced me to get back out there and explore the world - which I'd never really gotten to do in the first place since I took up Gym Leader. Now I'm here with my three new pals and we're back in the game. The order that kept me from battling gyms was revoked a year ago, and I think I'm about ready to get back into it. This is my second wind."
☬ Persona ☬Colton wants to be a hero, someone that everyone knows and reveres. But barring that, he’s willing to be a sort of dark knight. As the oldest of two, being the only boy child, Colton is independent and loves to prove himself, always wanting to show his personal talent and leave a legacy behind in the minds of everyone. But he’s not brash. He is content to observe and work quietly, and he’s very intelligent, which is no small aid. He thinks before he acts and is adept at seeing all sides and analyzing situations so he can act to his best advantage. He wants to be something and make something of himself; proving himself better than anyone could have expected is one of his highest priorities. Colton's social skills need work. He has somewhat of a low tolerance for certain people and is dismissive of those who are loud, unsubtle, and quick to offer opinions for everything. He is a quiet and even somewhat-withdrawn guy.
Colton is a knowledge seeker. He is one of those people who believe that knowledge and intelligence are central to success and power, so many things fascinate him and he could easily be found reading when taking a rest from traveling (if he's not working out or sleeping). In his mind, no fact or understanding of a process or a tendency is unimportant or useless, and may help a person when they least expect it to. As such, he can usually provide extra information on most any subject, even if he gives it in a condescending manner. He is proud of what he knows, both the facts and the underlying understanding of how things work. Interestingly, though, Colton’s quiet, studious exterior hides somewhat of a rebellious and unconventional streak. He likes to go his own way and will do it willingly. More frequently his unconventionality is manifested in an experimentative tendency.
Colton loves a challenge and he loves besting people, but it is usually a private victory for him. He needs not brag and draw attention to his success as long as he knows personally that he has won. However, this is not to say that he doesn’t need others’ acclaim. Being noticed is important to him, and he hates being ignored, but he would rather people notice by themselves how outstanding he truly is. That being said, criticism tends to bounce off of him as well--he is rather selective about what he hears and chooses to take to heart. Despite a sometimes ungracious manner, and a self-preserving and self-benefiting attitude, the guy is not bad at heart. He would always stick up for those he considers his friends, and is not averse to helping even strangers, after he is finished or providing it doesn’t inconvenience him.
Colton is a careful and patient guy. He’ll watch and wait for a long time with an observant and analyzing eye without feeling a need to do anything himself, gaining something from everything he sees. Not only that, he’s good at making what he sees help him in some way. He’s also good at using all the resources he can to help him achieve whatever goal he has in mind. Colton is driven and works diligently to achieve any goal he’s set for himself, and places these goals above most other things. As such, he’s very organized; he hates clutter and his personal space, personal appearance, and his management of time and such are all very neat and organized, often following a schedule or other method of keeping everything in its proper place and time. It bothers him when things aren’t set out clearly and prioritized so they can be followed right. He’s a very good multi-tasker and his organization helps him make sure everything gets accomplished exactly when and how he planned it to. If it doesn't, he'll fix it until it does.
☬ Physical Description ☬Colton stands at a whopping 6'3" tall and weighs a sturdy 196lbs. His thick brown hair drips down over his whole forehead almost to his eyebrows, with eyes that look like the sky on a dark and cloudy day. A deep grey, but turn a shade of blue when he's sad, and grow darker grey when upset. He wears a short goatee as well, though he wants to try growing out a nice beard. Lincoln curtain-type of beard. Colton has a sort of hard expression upon first glance, but get to know him and he's the most sensitive guy you'd know, just very guarded. His smile could kill. You'd be lucky if you caught a glimpse of it. Nothing really makes him truly smile anymore except his son, so it's a rare sight most times.

We didn't have the space to have such a thing as a science fair. We had quite the number of quad rallies, field trips (depending on what class you were in and what clubs you were a part of), choir/band/dance performances, open mic nights and things of that nature. My marine biology class took a trip to the aquarium and the rocky shores near said aquarium to check out the tide pools. Lots of fun :] My sociology class took a trip to the LA Zoo ^-^ ...trying to think of anything else memorable that I went to.. not very much xD Such is life for an introvert.
