No, his Gods are, in his own words, "Older and Hungrier" than that of Moths and Butterflies. It's kinda vague, but here's my best go at it as is. His gods embody things like hardship, determination, disease, and death. They aren't kind beings, but they aren't needlessly cruel either. They want their subjects to struggle and fight and bleed because only adversity can forge a soul into something worth noticing... or maybe he's just a nutty old bug who had his brain melted by insecticides? A mystery for the ages.

As for the name thing, I'm going to say that he just picks up nicknames and titles from place to place. Get's a different one for each race, my idea for him is that he's kind of like a folk figure or urban legend. A creepy guy who hurts you for your own good.

I'm still working out the kinks of his background, but basically, Mortarion's home was struck by lighting when he was younger. Not a big deal when you're a human but for a bug, it might as well been a death beam from space that vaporized the little village. He's going to do some dazed wandering, have an up close and personal experience with some insecticide (like a drop), pull through and trip out for like a week. I'm going to leave it ambiguous if Gods are actually talking to Mortarion or if he's just a little nuts.

As for the name, I'm going to give him a nicknames/titles since he believes "My name died on that day" or some such cryptic nonsense. So Mortarion is French and now I gotta make up some new names. For now, his umbrella term will be the Black Doctor.
Here's my hand at a cleric of some pretty no nonsense Gods, but who is ultimatly doing what he belives is the best for others. I still need to figure out the backstory but that's about it, thinking something along the lines of lightning bolts and insecticide.

@Mistory
Don't see how, their skills at crafting are in different fields and it's not like Gar is his superior officer. If he's intentionally annoying then Na'Shur would just ignore him to the best of his abilities, if it gets in the way then he'll just report his behavior to a superior officer. Lots a way's to crack open this walnut but testing his patience isn't one of them.
@Mistory
It's cool.
@Mistory
Na'Shur isn't human and his brain wasn't messed with, it's just he's been raised since birth to be a soldier. Grew in a test tube and raised by military personnel every day out of it. Being a people person wasn't a skill that any of the children ever learned, they've become weapons in a world without war and are just starting to learn to cope with it.
@Dr Catfish
It'd be an even plane, you can't act more robotic than a robot.
Na'Shur is going to be very formal and, well... soldier-like. In fact, he'll probably be more robotic than the guy who's only a brain. He'll definitely be a little weirded out by the lack of formality amongst his peers.
@Jeyma
I mean, he is based off of Master Cheif and Space Marines. I don't really want to play up his super soldiery stuff, sure the armor is pretty tough but the components needed to repair it would be prohibitively expensive and something he'd have to make out of his own paycheck. I just described some of the things his status as a super soldier would give him instead of making everything vague as all heck.

Fun Fact: The whole "switching off parts of his brain to stay awake" thing is something bottlenose dolphins do.
