Current Ethical issues aside, AI prose is just really bad.

She wanted to read, she wanted to write, but the main thing she wanted was something to fight

Make it clear that you don't need him to be reading Dante tomorrow. Also suggest it would be fun if you had a private language that you could use to mock English speakers in secret.

Generally write as some sort of non-human or human adjacent fantasy race. Mostly Halflings. Usually sexuality doesn't come up.

Write that sexy halfling adventure!

Or you could save Emmaline from herself (if anyone can!)

Yuki rolled her eyes.

"Demons, duh!" she commented then paused.

"Damn it, I should have said the meeting might last the rest of your life, that would have been much cooler," the young woman slumped for a moment before springing back to her feet with renewed vigor.

"This way!"

As she lead the way down the underpass the landscape seemed to change imperceptibly, the concrete ceiling grew more rough yewn and then became rock. For a time the cars, complete with staring terrified passengers line the stone cave and then they gave way to boulders. After perhaps five minutes of walking Yuki lead the way into a large cavern. Gold glittered in piles that heaped around the walls. Ingots and bars and coins of every denomination from Carthaginians to modern commemoratives. There were piece of eight, south American medallions and even what looked to be a couple of Olympic medals, marked out by their ribbons. Jewels glittered like stars amongst the trove, ornamenting swords and armor that lay in careless piles. In the center of the room a slender woman in a business suit sat at a board room table in a leather chair. She looked up as Yuki and January entered.

"Ah well done Yuki," she said, continuing to type at the laptop.

"Mr January, please be seated," she made an expansive gesture to one of the open seats lining the table.
"It wont take very long," she assured him beckoning him on down the tunnel with a gloved hand. One of the cars she had shot up burst into flames behind them with a dull whump of igniting gasoline. Given the amount of gunfire that had been reported in the city tonight it was unlikely that emergency services would be here as quickly as usual, but Yuki was obviously keen to be on her way.

"I promise it wont take as long as the meeting your friends in the cars had planned for you," she assured him batting her eyes theatrically.
The spirit, it might have been apple brandy, burned down Emmaline's throat. It was rough but no worse than some of the rotgut ALbrecht had provided over the years. She cleared her pallet by taking a bite of apple and then passed the bottle back to Neil. It was easy to imagine his situation, given a chance to rise above his humble beginnings, but struggling to keep body and soul together while he studied. It was a huge risk for him to steal, something that could easily see him booted out of the Gunnery School if nothing else. Emmaline wondered if he did it because he enjoyed it, or because he had too. She had considered that herself on many occasions. As Albrechts apprentice she was more or less required to do whatever the bald old leecher said, but she knew she could support herself by becoming the mistress of some wealthy merchant or minor noble if she choose.

"You can't be too much of a piece of shit," she pointed out reasonably, "afterall you did save me from the orcs." Without Neil's help she certainly wouldn't have made it out of the mine. She was under no illusion that her magical talents would have allowed her to best a dozen of the brutish greenskins.

"Thank you," she said somewhat lamely.
Emmaline arched a sculpted eyebrow, impressed by the show of dexterity. It was only fair after she had shown off with her magic. She took a piece of dried meat and popped it into her mouth and began to chew. It was salty but not unpleasantly so. She hoped there was ale or something else to drink but she supposed they would make do.

"Well given that you haven't run screaming and left me to die, I'd say you are a whole wagons length ahead," she admitted. Secretly she wasn't too unhappy with the way things had worked out. It was always difficult to break off after a con, but now if Otto started ranting about how an imaginary Marguerite von Vissenbach had been killed, it would only make his complaints that he had been robbed seem that much less credible.

"So," Emmaline began around a mouthful of dried meat, "you are a criminal and an engineer? I take it you are a real engineer?" It was a serious question, Emmaline had impersonated everything from nobles to farm wives to members of the clergy over the past few years. She plucked an apple from the basket and bit into it with relish.

"What?" the girl asked, staring at January in perplexity. After a moment she reached down and turned down the blaring music. It hardly seemed likely that the music was a problem after the crashing gunfire of a moment before or the wail of the car alarms.

"Oh right, sorry, I am Yuki," the girl declared. She withdrew a fresh box magazine from the satchel at her waist and slotted it into the weapon. Striking a pose she wrenched the charging handle back before cocking a hip an punching the air.

"As for why, the boss wants to see you," she explained, gesturing down the tunnel. The wreck of bullet riddled cars had blocked the in, so one lane of the traffic was now completely empty. The other lane was beginning to honk in frustration, although only those at the front of the line could have any clue what was happening. A fact evidenced by the fact that anyone who had seen what happened had bailed from their vehicles and run for it.

The sheet of flame spattered into the air and the thugs staggered backwards. A shotgun went off and someone screamed and then they were out into the alley behind the bar. The trio turned just in time to see a man in a flannel shirt at the end of the alley. He had been sitting on the hood of a beat up pick up truck but had jumped to his feet when the door flew open. Caber had just enough time to see the yawning black barrel of the man's 306 rifle before it cracked. Caber felt a flash of heat a microsecond before a wave of bone searing cold the bullet hung in the air frozen in place. The gunman stared in shock, his body trembling as the woman stepped past him and screamed. The sound was cold and soul blasting and agonizing. The bullet exploded backwards in a shower of metal shards, dropping the gunman in a spray of arterial blood.

Owe a debt to Mystery Lady
Emmaline giggled, tried to suppress the sound and ended in a snort which would have been entirely beneath Marguerite von Vissenbach. She felt better for being out of the boat, if the were spotted now it was a simple matter of saying the had gotten lost.

"Sure, assuming the city watch dosen't shoot us, I think I can manage dinner Herr Edwards," she remarked, breath steaming in the chill spring night. They crept up the stairwell and peered around. Just as Neil had predicted there was no one in sight and the damp fog beginning to roll up off the Reik provided some additional cover. The tower loomed before them in the fog and Neil led the way, keeping low behind some bushes which had been planted to be ornamental but had gone half wild for lack of pruning. They slipped through a loop hole on the lower floor. Neil made it easily but Emmaline's broader hips bound for a moment, she twisted and fell gracelessly out onto the floor beyond.

"Such grace," Neil commented as she picked herself up. She stuck her tongue out at him rather than dignify that as a response. The inside of the tower was cleaner than she had thought, though there were a few cob webs where the joists that supported the second floor intersected the wall. Crates stamped with the proof marks of the Nuln amory were stacked on the floor. Neil took her across to a set of stairs which circled down. The lower floor was clear save for some furniture, a couple of pallets of straw, and a small coal furnace. Neil stepped towards the furnace but Emmaline snapped her fingers and it burst into flames that gouted out for a moment before dying back to a dull glow.

"Allow me," she snickered.
"Always good to have a back up career in case this one dosen't work out," she quipped but she was already stepping out of her pilots diaz. Cygi took over the controls now that the flight path was simple and there were enough navigational beacons for the AI to handshake with. Jocasta stepped though the rear door and into her cabin. Even a captains cabin on a warship was small, merely a bed a refersher unit and a small desk. She had artifically enhanced the view with high definition holos that showed a panoramic seascape of colorful coral and brightly patterned fish. The bones of an ancient shipwreck were visible in the distance, teeming with exotic life. Reaching under her bed she withdrew a storage tote and pulled on a tight pair of black faux leather pants and then buttoned on a severely cut jacket which looked a little like a naval officers tunic, with red piping on the seams. She pulled on a set of black gloves and then slung a bandolier of capacitor cells over her right shoulder. Going unarmed anywhere in Neo-Mecca, though the better levels were festooned with scanners which would alert the occupants. She gathered her hair back into a pony tail. Finally she selected a large bore laser pistol, a triton arms AP 3, and a wrist mounted launcher unit which wrapped around her arm from just below her elbow. The unit was stocked with a variety of drones rather than grenades, though that might not be obvious to the casual observer.

"Alright," she said, stepping out of her cabin.

"Cygi keep an eye on the ship while we are gone."
