Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

"Oh." Leo said before taking out the potatoes from the oven and then placing them on the table. "Go on, try it." He said, pointing at the hot and cooked root crop.

Oh is that so? Well I wish you luck for whatever you've been doing.

Miroku nodded as Zodiac explained. So they'll try to teach them huh? Well, that was everything one needs. After all, everyone starts at the basics of things and then start choosing a specialization from there on.

Miroku glanced at Zodiac once more."You'll teach us everything in here?" He asked as he looked around. Damn, that was a lot of weapons. He never excelled in the bow and arrow as opposed to Blaine who just showed his prowess with it. But he could fare better with a gun or something like that.
Hyakuya

With his dragonstone firmly placed in his pocket once more, Hyakuya listened to Tybalt's strategy. It wasn't bad. The manakete admittedly wasn't one for surprise attacks but he wasn't complaining now. After that, Pauline waved her hand and his attention was transferred to her as she explained what they would do. "I've spend a fair share of time walking instead of flying. I can manage that." Hyakuya replied as he looked at the steep side of the mountain. Good thing manaketes age slowly or else he would've crumpled in pain because of weak bones. "If we ever get spotted, I'll carry you back." He said, pertaining to how he'll transform and then grab her by the arms and fly away. He would follow Pauline as she moved, trying to be as stealthy as he can.

With that out of the way, the manakete took a deep breath. The risk was there and they were in a true battle, unlike the first trial. Here, they could kill people as revenge for killing the other squad. Something inside of him was just itching to transform and kill these bastards. He tried to calm himself down. No, he can't fight. Not yet at least. He needed to get up there so he can trap those barbarians and then rain fire on them when they least expect it. If they get caught, then he'll have to take Pauline back to the group before even thinking of making any risky maneuvers.
I'm just here waiting for a reply soooo yeahhh
Hyakuya

Hyakuya nodded at Alexandria. She seems to be part of this squad as well. He wondered if she was going to end up joining Squad Quinque by the end of the day. Hopefully. It has been a while since he has seen a wyvern and it would honestly be fun wrestling with the animal. It was good exercise for both the Manakete and the wyvern. There has been instances that he managed to find himself face to face with a wyvern and 'play' around with it. It was a great experience for him and, despite being old, still wanted to do these kinds of things.

Although he shouldn't really be thinking about that. He looked at Hiro who suggested he do reckon first. It was either him and Joan or Hyakuya. The Manakete would gladly step up to the challenge since he can fly well despite the horrible weather. Sure he'd be restricted to flying low and a little slower but less projectiles can actually hit. "I would be glad to do reckon Hiro but it seems someone has gone ahead of us." He said before gesturing to Alexandria and her flying wyvern. He watched as they circles around and then threw an axe at one of the bandits.

"I will transform once you signal me to. We might as well have the element of surprise right?" The manakete pointed out. His hood was raised so they wouldn't be able to see his pointed ears. No one would realize that he was a Manakete and he wanted to play that to their advantage. Maybe charge up there without a weapon to confuse them? He gripped the stone in his hand while hiding it from sight. He would wait for Hiro or Tybalt's orders before he would transform unless the situation turns around and he would be forced to transform to defend himself.
Hyakuya

Hyakuya could more or less claim that being shot at was not a good experience but it wasn't entirely foreign to him either. As someone who fought in the war, he could confidently say that he had his fair share of arrows being stuck between his scales. The problem was, he was never attacked by a ton of arrows at once and expect to actually live after it. Well, fortunately for him, because of his old age and battle experience, he had managed to live through it.

To say that there was no improvement would be a lie. Not only had he gotten used to dodging arrows and shooting fire at them for it to melt, he had also noticed that his scales were growing tougher, stronger and more durable. Every day, he would thank Hirotsuka for the training and then limp off to Joan for her to heal him. He had also noticed that he was the one who went to her the most because of his injuries. Hyakuya wasn't sure if Hirotsuka was going easy on them or was just going extra hard on him because his training was being rained by arrows.

There were multiple instances that Hyakuya wanted to turn into a dragon and keep himself low to the ground while flying so he wouldn't need to endure the hike of Dragon's Back. But that would be very unfair to his squadmates, he thought, so he kept the thought to him and continued to walk. He was having as much trouble as his squadmates but he didn't mind. After all, he was forced to walk long distances when he was with the bandits when younger so he was used to it. When they were going for a decision to either climb the safe path or not, they all stopped.

Bodies lying on the ground, motionless. Their blood smeared the ground below. Five men, one missing. Well that was odd, they were a group of men weren't they? So where was the other one. So very odd. Hyakuya walked behind Tybalt to go for a closer inspection when Alexandria came into view. "We are squad Quinque, sent her to rendezvous with Squad Septem but it seems they have failed to survive an attack." He told her so she would not attack them.

A scream. Female. His ears twitched and he turned to where the sound originally came from. She was saying that she was a survivor from the bandits. Was she really? Was she claiming that she was part of Squad Septem which was compromised of only men? Or was she a bandit trying to lower their guard? These thoughts ran through the Manakete's mind as he watched Hiro and Joan rush to aid her with Tybalt explaining that she might be a trap. A most wise decision. "I'll keep to the rear then." He said as he followed behind their tactician once more, his hand wrapped around his stone, ready to transform any time.

Miroku looked around, noticing that his fellow powered people were not picking up any weapons. Well technically, they shouldn't be. These things can kill people. One quick slice from a sword or one misfire of a gun could kill your ally. That might be the main reason why they don't want to get one. That or they have never thought about what weapon suits them the best.

@KatherinWinter

"Not picking something up?" He asked the healer as she walked towards her. "I imagine that it will be hard if you didn't pick one."
