Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

What's up?
Location: Shadow Ridge Den
Interacting with: @The Elvenqueen's Chinua, @GhostWing's Anum & @A Tattooed Girl's Denali

"Hm, I feel like you two should stay in another den so you can have a large space to yourself." Trevor then looked around. There was a lack of dens besides the ones they slept in, unfortunately enough. "But we have a great lack of it." It was a real shame. He would've been happy if there were at least two separate dens where others could sleep in. It was getting quite crowded in there. And old wolves, like him, and pregnant ones, like the ones with him, really need more space. But, such is life. It's never fair. Just like how the two clans were split and is in a heated rivalry.

"I might as well tag along. Two pregnant wolves walking to the river alone sounds like a horrible idea." He may be old but he was surely quite capable of protecting them if need be. Or at least, he's more fit to fight than them. It was the truth, sad as that may be. He stood up and then stretched his old bones. However, before they could move, Denali and Robyn had already come back. He dipped his head in a bow when Denali had approached them. The affectionate gesture between the two made him smile. He might've chosen to be a lone wolf for his time but he still couldn't help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside whenever something like this happens. "Good morning to you too Denali. Still an early riser I see." He said before following it with a light chuckle. "I suppose I should join you. Water sounds refreshing right around now." He then looked at his adopted daughter who had come soon "Robyn, good morning to you as well." He said with a nod of acknowledgement. Everyone knew that Trevor wasn't too affectionate so he never really openly showed his love for Robyn.

Robyn smiled as she trotted over to the group. "Morning Chinua, Anum!" She greeted in a chipper voice. Always the energetic ones. Although, like earlier, she didn't openly show her respect for the Alpha female. She always seems to forget, or she just really do it. She didn't do it before, and it doesn't seem like she would do it now, no matter how many times she was reprimanded. But nowadays, they don't really seem to be getting angry, which was nice. He then looked over to her adopted father and then gave him a toothy grin. "Morning Trev!" Father and daughter, their relationship may be, but as Robyn got older, they got more casual until she stopped calling him father and Trevor stopped treating her like a cub.

She then looked towards Denali. "I'm going to continue patrol on the other places. I'll go wake up Ivan and we can start. See you guys later~" And with that, she had left the group and entered the dens. She walked over to a brown and white male wolf who was still peacefully slumbering near his mate. Robyn didn't hesitate to nudge him awake. He sleepily opened his eyes to see his partner patrol wolf. The two conversed for a while before they went out to start their patrol, Ivan stopping to pay respect to the two Alphas before following Robyn out of the clearing and into the forestry.
Javier watched as everyone poured into the training yard. He had succeeded in this part of the test considering his nimbleness and keen eyesight. Besides, he was a mercenary. Trained to kill. Trained to succeed. There was always this misconception that mercenaries were just bloodthirsty savages who charge in without a plan. They were not like that. They plan each step carefully, keep their senses open and completely destroy the opponent in a short time. Or well, that was his job at least, being an assassin and all. One failed shot can change everything. And that's why he was able to simply snipe his opponent before it could even attack. One should know their opponent's weak points, and aim for that first.

As Varioyn and Volric took the center stage, Javier shifted his attention to them. Right, there they go. A demorbear this time hm? Interesting. He swore the previous times they were tested, it was something harder. Then again, this was an open invitation to every fighter out there and not a recommendation. As Volric did say earlier, he might've underestimated them considering that some might not have been well-trained individuals who spent almost their entire life fighting.

A man confidently stepped up, brandishing his sword at the beast. The demorbear woke up and let out a bone-chilling roar only it can make. Javier quickly scanned the surroundings. There were some who were shaken, but some stood firm, almost too eagerly awaiting their turn to dance with the demon. He felt like those who were shaken wouldn't get in. Not with that kind of attitude. He looked back at the battle. Javier already picked out the traps that were littered around the battlefield. It had been part of his training as a hunter to be honest. The man, however, did not see it and stepped into one of the traps, locking him in place. And so, he was defeated by the bear.

Javier shook his head. Overconfidence won't take you too far in life. Hearing the footsteps, he looked down to see Kaylein. Ah yes, she was the one who trained him with the traps. It was a nice trade-off. He only had to be her partner for the amount of time that he will train. Of course, he had expected that she would be the one in training. How nice. "Hello there Kaylein." He greeted with a nod. While he is a friendly guy, he doesn't really start conversations. There are very few he would actively talk to, Kaylein being one of them. Perhaps it was because of the long time he had been stuck with her. Not that he minded.

Before the female could respond, however, someone else had volunteered to take on the demorbear. She was an elf. No, half-elf. He eagerly watched her fight, partly because she was a new blood and the other because she was an elf. She had not advanced towards the demorbear. Wise choice. The field was filled with rune traps so it was best to stay put. But she did not pull out a bow, but kept her stance with her longsword. Interesting. In an unfamiliar setting, it would be best to put a defensive stance. The demorbear started charging at the half-elf and was quickly decapitated with one strike.

The white haired elf smiled as he saw this. Quite an impressive show after the humiliating defeat by the earlier boy. The others were getting ideas from the half-elf's performance. This wasn't really ideal, considering that they may just use her method again and again so they can win. However, he was sure Volric would at least change the demorbear's attack patterns ever so slightly to accommodate for this. He was, however, curious if they could pull something off without any inspiration from the half-elf's display.
@solidsneek

It's no problem. Although there are others who might've reacted worse than me so be careful next time alright?
@solidsneek

Whoa there bro. Please don't control my OC like that. It's a standard rule in most roleplays.

Besides, I don't think he's the one who's going to manage the test.
Zoru

@A Tattooed Girl

The pain had subsided for now, but it will surely come back. Zoru knew this so he stayed put and waited for the hunting party. However, he did see Desaius appear with Lila. "Well now, where have you been?" Zoru asked as he padded over to Desaius, one of the few wolf elders. He sat down beside the younger wolf. He never really minded the grumpy old wolf's personality. Zoru was one of the wolves who actually thought that Desaius would be a good Alpha. Well, considering that Zoru was a bloodthirsty wolf before who thrived in the battlefield, it was obvious why he would vote for Desaius. But he didn't become Alpha and Zoru got an injury. Once he mellowed down, he got why Desaius never became Alpha. It was because of his attitude.

"Out for the tigers?"
"Yes sir." Javier nodded. He then took steps backwards with a small bow, as respect, and then proceeded to walk towards the back door to head for the training yard without having to pass through the mass of new blood present. He did pass by Volric though, before he was called, and he bowed his head to him as a greeting. He highly respected the arc mage. He had the power to read minds and not succumb to the amount of voices he hears in his head and he was able to discern it. That is quite challenging considering the amount of people in the hall right now, thinking about the test.

The white haired male continued outside and towards the training yard. There were others already preparing the yard for the coming of the new bloods. He greeted them with a nod and then began getting to work, or whatever the lead ordered him to do. It only took a few minutes, to be honest, given how fast everyone seemed to be going. And with that, everything was prepared for the physical test. This brings back memories. What he lacked for the first test, he made up tenfold with this one. He wasn't exactly praised but there was that look that they'll give you that says that you did well. He then made his way to the nearest tree and climbed up with no difficulty. He perched atop a branch, his eyes glued to where the new bloods would be after they come there.

First Day of School, Mather Memorial High School

Evander had arrived earlier than most. He didn't want to be involved with that amount of people lined up to look at their homeroom classes. He couldn't help but let out a smile as he watched people socialize with others. The most amusing would be the interaction between the popular girls. He doesn't doubt that most of the girls know that they're just faking it. Acting all buddy buddy when they're in front of the other but they would often talk about the other behind their backs, spouting off insults and things like that. This is one of the reasons why he actually avoids making friends with others. It's not a lasting relationship anyway. He noticed some students passing by him and giving him a weird look. Considering that he was dressed out of the season, it was obvious why. He paid them no mind and drifted back to the mass of people.

His eyes were drawn to another person who had entered. A bald man. Someone he hadn't met before. No, hasn't seen before. This must be the new teacher then. He never caught the name but he had caught wind that someone signed up for a teaching position here. Probably the teacher who set up this new class he had never even heard of before. Social Conscious. The name of the subject already makes him want to bail the class and hope that the result wouldn't affect his grade. But it looks like it will so he would be more or less forced to go.

He was forced out of his thoughts when something smacked onto his back. "There you go again, staring off into space." Evander turned his head to look at his only friend in this entire school, Emily. She probably smacked his back again, a not so good habit she had developed whenever he was lost in his thoughts. She had a smile on her face and her hands on her hips as if reprimanding him for doing something wrong. "Not too excited?" She continued to ask.

"Between having to go to classes and socializing, what do you think?" The way he said it made him sound like he was angry, as if the answer to the question is obvious and you didn't even have to ask to know what the answer is. His neutral tone. Emily's smile grew wider and then patted his back again. "Now, now, you should take this chance to make new friends!" Evander just shrugged in response. Before they could take any further, the bell rung. The two looked at each other and then headed straight for the auditorium.

The mandatory assembly was still as boring as Evander remembered it to be. He doubted anyone would come if it wasn't required of them. He sat there, staring at the stage. Beside him was Emily, who had long since started texting on her phone. Who she was texting was none of his business and frankly, he didn't really care. She had her own business and he had his. When he was thinking of drifting off to daydreaming land, the new teacher came up front. Sir Lehrer. This guy must've been used to talking in front, given how comfortable and confident he was.

He started talking about what classes he would be taking. When he had mentioned the Social Conscious Program, Evander's ears perked up. He was hoping the teacher would actually explain more about the class, or at least an introduction to it, but he didn't. Disappointing. The next ones didn't particularly interest him any longer. Emily seemed to have dozed off somewhere in the middle and he had to wake her up when the assembly ended.

The hours went by quickly. Familiar faces in his classes, none of which he personally knew. Their name was the only thing that stuck to him and that was everything he needed anyway. Soon enough, he was already walking to this new Social Conscious class he had been wondering about ever since he got his schedule. Emily was walking beside him. "You think this is some shady class where they're gonna train you into assassins or something?" She mused, hands behind her back as she walked. "Keep your imagination running Emily." Was his only reply. Reaching the classroom, he turned to her and then waved goodbye. "See you later then." And with that, she left and headed to her next class.

Evander entered the room and the teacher from earlier, Sir Lehrer, was there. He breathed out a small greeting with a nod before heading off to one of the seats. He sat at the middle leftmost part of the room, keeping some distance with the other students. He then propped his elbow on the table and rested his head on his hand. Sir Lehrer, or rather Jonas, pointed at the question on the board.

Who am I?

Like him, it didn't seem like anyone wanted to answer the question. He hoped someone would pipe up though, so they could get this over with and they'd finally know what this subject is all about and why they were here. While waiting for an answer, he peered at the other students inside. He could name a few but there were others he didn't know as well. And someone did actually say something. And it was something interesting. He then took a peek at the person who spoke up, it was a guy named Kenneth if memory served right. And it almost always did.
Ha, the lack of people in the other factions tempt me to make another character for another faction.
