The Clarice Curse

Joshua had been spinning his pencil as the teacher continued to speak. Physics class. It wasn't all that boring to be honest; actually it was an interesting subject. But his mind was distracted with the thought that later on would be their first meeting of the school year. While he wasn't as interested as the others on the curse itself, he is admittedly enjoying his time there. With the nightly expeditions and interviewing others, there were so many things to do.

Thinking about it, he didn't notice time pass by so quickly. He looked down on his notebook and noticed that he hadn't taken any notes. He looked back up to the teacher who had erased everything on the board. Well crap. Joshua looked at his seatmate, one of his friends, and then signalled to borrow her notes. With a sigh, she gave her notebook to him and he thanked her. They were released from class and Joshua hurried towards the club room.

He opened the door and when he saw Spencer, he plastered a grin on his face and greeted, "Heya Spence!" He went straight to one of the chairs and then sitting down on it. He joined Spencer in waiting for the others.

Julio smiled at their leader's apparent train of thought. He wasn't listening to the conversation and was mainly focused on his food. It bothered the monkey faunus none. It wasn't like the conversation was going anywhere anyway. He then looked at Isaac as he approached the table, wondering if they could sit down with them. Before anyone could reply, however, the rest of the team sat down so Julio just shrugged and went back to his meal.

He did scan over the group. "Yeah." He was more distracted by the apparent lack of the fourth member. "Where's that other girl? The girl with the grin on her face?" Julio questioned. From what he observed earlier, almost everyone is eating with their groups so Cassidy should definitely be there as well.

Steam can actually be achieved by combining fire and water dust. It's an effective way when you want a distraction. Or at least something to block your enemy's eyesight. Though, it may not last depending on how strong the wind blows, or if your opponent blasts it apart with wind.

Noticing that Asher was already at the line, he headed out too. His plate was almost filled with the different kinds of salad that was being served and then some meat on the side. It looked uncomfortable to eat, since it was so many, but Julio looked like he would be able to finish all of it. Which he will. After all, he just came from a battle and he was hungry. Surely, though, Asher was way hungrier than him.

He sat down beside Yasmin and then began eating, his table manners not being that bad but not as well-refined as Yasmin. He was going to be content on listening in to the conversation while eating his salad, a little faster now, eager to taste what they had in store. And admittedly, it was pretty darn good.

Looking at Cedar as he asked and then looking at Yasmin to see that she had no intention of replying, he decided to answer the question. "Toadeye huh? Right, swamp area." He then took another quick bite and swallowed it. "We fought a Flaming Taijitu, you know the King Taijitu whose body is covered in flames? That one." He didn't follow it up though and just kept on eating.

Evander went back to his original seat when the group activity was over. At least he learned some things about them, even if it was at the bare minimum. It went well, at least in his opinion. Compared to the other group, it must've been. Aiden had stood up and left the room but then some other guy, Elroy, was on the other side so he was forced to move to another part of the room. Whatever happened seemed to piss the guy off. Considering that Sebastian was there, Evander shouldn't have expected that it would go all well. Wonder what would happen if he was grouped with the guy.

His attention was taken back by Sir Jonas when he started speaking. His eyes trailed to Elroy as the student council member began to speak. It was about the annual dance at the beginning of the school year. He stifled a sigh. Great, he forgot about this one. Emily hasn't been badgering him about it but she would certainly do so tomorrow. He was more than sure of it. And even if he doesn't want to go, he'll be forced to do so. Great, just great.

Although it might be interesting this year. Just... might be. It's the only hope he has to actually enjoying his time there. The fight for winning the competition might be more intense too. His vote goes to Winter automatically though, and he was more than sure that Emily thinks the same way as well. They never did like that queen bee girl... Ah crap, he forgot her name again. He has near perfect memory and yet he still can't remember her name. Eh, it'll stick sooner or later.

He packed up his things. With a nod of farewell to Sir Jonas, he headed outside. The class wasn't all that interesting and he still hasn't explained too much about it. Is it finding out more about yourself? Being more social? And who was Sir Jonas? Winter admitted that she hasn't found anything about the guy. Gunning for the mysterious type? Who knows. He was pulled away from his thoughts once he met with Emily and headed out the school.

Julio looked at the fancy dining hall. This looked way better than the ones he saw back at Atlas. Was it to impress them or was this a one-time treat for them because of the entrance exam? Nevertheless, he figured he should enjoy as much food as he could. Then again, his tastes would be more suited to the fruits and vegetables thanks to his monkey heritage. Although he was more than glad to try out anything on the menu. The problem was, what was he going to pick?

He turned to Cedar. "I'm willing to bet this is like a party after the exams." He then looked back at everything before beckoning the three to hurry up. "We should really get to the line. I think we'd run out of food before we even get to the counter to get it if we wait any longer." It would seem that Asher would want some food too based from what he was saying earlier and how much he was looking forward to eating.

Julio looked at Asher and patted his back, "Congrats on getting the lead position." He then looked at the others and continued, "Looking forward to working with you too." Once the pleasantries were done, he would descend the stage with both hands in his pockets and then sitting down to wait for the ceremony to end. The next was where the fellow with the mask and tophat was. So his name was Stizza huh? Guy was pretty cool, especially with his semblance.

The orientation was finally done and they were released. He waited for the others in his team before proceeding outside and taking a key to the room. He'd at least spend some of his time with them for now, to at least get to know them better he would guess?
