Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Day of the Dance - Mather Memorial High School

Evander had long since sat down and just observed the students partying. Emily had come back every now and then to squeal about her new victory on getting two people together. She boasted about possibly getting them to really be together; they just needed a little push in the right direction. But now she was gone again. He saw familiar faces on the dance floor, people like Sebastian, Brynn, Rita and Winter who seemed to have found each other in the mass of students inside.

He had finally relaxed on the chair when the doors opened... no, exploded. Every alarm on his body told him to run and hide. But when he saw who the terrorists were, well, they weren't what he expected. Wolf-like humanoids, werewolves, burst inside and the students started running and panicking.

Although shocked into a moment of disbelief, he did have one name in his mind that made him worry. And that was all that he needed to make him move. He dashed sideward as one of those beasts tried to grab him. He almost tripped, though luckily he managed to regain his footing. Though weaving through panicked students was not the best thing.

Someone bumped into Evander, hard, making him stumble and stop. He regained his footing once more and looked up to see Rita and a bunch of beasts already crowding around them and the other students. He couldn't leave now. Hopefully Emily was safe. "Rita right? You think we have a chance in this mess?" He asked, both hands closed to a fist as ice started to form inside. It would be another unusual chill around the male, but this time colder.

"The Vytal Festival..." Julio never thought about the competition at all. He was really fixated on becoming a huntsman and battling the Grimm that it completely slipped his mind. Although it obviously did leave a mark on Asher's memory since he seems pretty confident that he'd do well in it. Well, at least Julio could rest knowing that someone had been training for the Vytal Festival.

He looked towards Yasmin and let a lazy smile take its place on his face. Although he didn't make any comment about it, waiting for Asher's reaction to the joke. It was then that Cedar stood up and excused himself to get seconds. Julio nodded and watched his fellow faunus walk off and then leaned back into his chair. He looked finished with the meal and was ready to get going any time.

That was when he heard a loud thud and he quickly turned his head towards where it came from. He saw Cedar, on the ground with his face on the food he was carrying earlier, and the blonde man that finished first before. The others were laughing. Julio was quick to come into a conclusion that the blonde man was that kind of human that looked down on the faunus. Julio was out of his seat and walked towards Cedar in a flash. Sending a well-concealed glare at the blonde male, he extended his hand to Cedar, ignoring all the laughter. "Come on Cedar. Get up."
Myno

An outlaw... from Archanea? From what he observed in the days that he was awake, the King was anything but lax in his security. So why was an outlaw like this one roaming around? However, this was no time to bear animosity to the rule-breaker, considering that they would be allies from now on. He then turned his head to the next one who introduced herself, a maid. Normally, Myno would be struck with disbelief that a maid, of all people, would be picked for this kind of group. They were going to battle, not serving a master in household chores. However, her appearances might not let it on, but she did seem competent. Some of the maids at the King's palace were no joke either, so he assumed this one wasn't as well.

Before someone else could introduce himself, the strong smell of meat travelled its way to his nose. He searched for the source and ended up looking at the outlaw, Taka, who was holding out a slab of meat to him and an apple to the maid, who never said her name. Myno was debating whether or not to take the meat from the outlaw. He had just gotten his fair share... or rather, plentiful share of food earlier on, thanks to the generosity of a General from Archanea who knew of him. Before he could decide, another man introduced himself.

Tactician? Well, this is a good addition. Tacticians tended to lead their groups to victory with their strategies and quick-thinking. Perfect. As much as Myno could probably take out a chunk of enemies just recklessly diving into the enemy forces, he at least wanted to get back alive. The man was straight to the point too, good. "I'm a Manakete, Alfred. I can fly and breathe out fire. Although I'm not used to it, I can probably still fight in close ranged using my claws and teeth." Then another one introduced herself, this time being a noble. Although it was odd to hear that she used a bow, from what she said. Last he heard, most nobles took the sword. But since she seemed skilled and confident. He turned back to Taka, who spoke once again. He seemed to be nervous around them, claiming that he was only a mere outlaw and that he could just be replaced with a hero. Now this person was not as confident as the others.

The next one was someone who looked similar to him - pointed ears, no armor and that pendant of hers had a very familiar stone. A Dragonstone. When she spoke, however, Myno was quite surprised. She spoke so fast. Although he managed to catch Nyx and Gaia. She was probably as old as him, maybe a little bit younger, but they both experienced the war. Interesting. He would like to go speak with her later. It had been quite a while since he had met another Manakete, considering his long slumber and the death of his family. He then turned to Roane. She stopped, for some odd reason, and then continued. He then turned to the wyvern. Huh... he never wrestled with a friendly wyvern before. He wondered how that would go. It would be good exercise too. After that, however, the wyvern quickly scurried off to Taka, presumable because of the food the outlaw carried.
Myno

With the tensions rising, Myno was awakened by the King of Archanea. He didn't mind. He could pay them back for giving him a new place to call home. Now, here he was, at the pass, strolling around the human encampment. There hadn't been much changes in terms of weaponry and tactics from the fight with Gaia so he was sure he could at least manage to get a good grip on the fighting nowadays. But he was worried about the Dwarven Kingdom. Last he saw them, they already were advancing at a fast rate. Who knows where they were now. Although the rise of Varjo did shock him since Razelia was such a prosperous nation but he soon came to terms with it after history has been explained to him. New rulers, tyrannical rulers, came up and changed Razelia to a bandit wonderland. Guess the world just works in different ways.

His feet was leading him to the 'regiment' he was assigned to. Myno was not sure whether he could even call it a regiment. It must've just been a ragtag group of soldiers who were roped into this. While the Manakete did not mind, considering that he fought in many groups like this back in the war, it was odd seeing as this was a formal meeting between the representatives of the Dwarves and the representatives of the Concilium. Why an unofficial group like this was here was beyond him. But he guessed he'll find out soon enough.

Reaching the small bonfire where the group was stationed around, he lowered his hood as to not seem disrespectful. Then a man spoke up, the leader, and began telling them that the group was more like Chrom's group, the Shepherds. An interesting legend, that was. It seems the man was trying to pep them up. Honestly, Myno wasn't too disappointed with the team. After all, it seemed like everyone was capable and at least they had some variety. Jarde Devaron. Okay, so this is the de facto leader of this unorthodox unit. Then the man said that they should introduce themselves.

He stepped up first. "My name is Myno, a Manakete who fought in the Gaia War." Those were the only words he said before stepping back down, the action saying that he was done. He wasn't sure what else he should say. His home? What happened to his family? No thanks. This was just introduction. His name and what race he is should suffice for them.
I would think you should skip me for a few turns since I won't be posting him just trying to hunt game.

First Day of Class, Mather Memorial High School

Evander was thankful that they were walking in silence, through the halls. He was silently hoping that Emily would forget about the school dance. Oh how wrong he was. “So, so, the dance! You’re coming right!” Emily quickly brought up the school dance that happened annually. He should’ve known. She was too excited about events that it would be a miracle if she forgot about it. Noticing Evander looking away from her, as if not wanting to reply, made her speak again, “Right?” Evander risked to look back at Emily only to be met by pleading eyes, like a puppy begging for attention and food.

Evander breathed out a heavy sigh into the scarf, if not, then Emily would have noticed the near white breath that would only happen when it was cold. But currently, it wasn’t. He had to be careful around her. He then placed his hands inside his pockets and then replied, ”You wouldn’t let me not go to the ball anyway.”

Emily giggled, “That’s true.” She was getting more and more blunt everyday that passed. He was really appreciating that. With all the secrets he’d been keeping from her and almost everyone else, her honest presence was refreshing for him. “You’ll help me with what I’m planning right?”

”With your cupid personality or your own love story?” Evander asked. He was well aware of Emily’s little ‘cupid journeys’ when she hooks up her friends with their crushes and see where it goes from there. She enjoys it so Evander always tried to help when he could.

"Both?" She replied unsurely. The two continued back and forth until they reached Emily's house and Evander proceeded to go to his own house.

Evander should've guessed that Emily would decide to get him as her date for the night after she failed to approach the apple of her eye. Although while they walked to the dance, they only conversed about how to get her and that other guy together and her friend with another guy together. He wasn't sure why he should even worry about these things, but for the sake of paying her back, he'll be willing to do it.

Upon entering the hall, however, he was immediately starting to regret his decision. Perhaps it was the lights, the sounds or the crowds of people, but he knew he wasn't going to bode well with this if he went with the flow. He eyed Emily who squirmed her way inside and she grinned at him. She was going to start to say something when someone spoke onstage. Evander's eyes trailed to the person and there stood that Queen Bee's rival, Winter. Impressive, very impressive. He couldn't help but smile at that. The crowds made their way to the dance floor and Evander instinctively distanced himself from it.

Emily grabbed his sleeve and she mouthed something along the lines of, "You going to be okay?" He simply nodded and then gestured for her to go and get to the guy. She grinned at him before slinking off and leaving him alone. Okay, finally, he didn't need to stick around. Evander took some punch and then went near the wall of the hall and just stood there, watching the students as they danced. He'd only have to move if he was interacted with, or if Emily stumbles back to seek help. The latter was more likely to happen though.
@Lady Athena

Whoo we could be manakete buddies then.
Leo nodded as he went over to the left side. He picked up a jersey and just put it on top of his own shirt. He then stood there, waiting for his teammates to come. He wasn't in the mood for exercise, but hey, he can at least help them play the sport. Hopefully they had good aim. But either way, it was not really a serious game so it's fine if they weren't all that good.
