Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)
Things you need to know about me?
I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.
I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.
Shindo looked as the S-Class Ventus and B-Class Sunshine had appeared. And there was another person who was running from the scene. Was that a civilian or a hero? He assumed a civilian considering the fact that he was running away. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as he began assessing the situation. The alien seemed to have its full attention on the fleeing civilian but was being attacked by Ventus and Sunshine. There seemed to be a crushed van that was not there earlier - so Shindo assumed that the civilian came from. Why he was there in the first place is something he had no clue about. He yawned before taking a look at his watch.
CRAP, HE ONLY HAD TWENTY MINUTES BEFORE TIME!
Oh, he was not looking forward to yet another telling off from his oh so strict Physics teacher who, even with the knowledge that he was a hero, seemed to take pleasure in lecturing him for things he cannot control. He once had been told off because he was late when he helped the other heroes rescue the freaking school area from a villain! Guy doesn't have a sense of gratitude, that's for sure. And to think Shindo was actually doing well in his class.
He ran his hand through his hair in habit, accidentally pushing off his hoodie. He heard a chorus of 'ooh's and 'ahh's. He inwardly cursed as he put the hood back up. Then again, he wasn't exactly secretive of his identity. It's not like they'll find something interesting about him. He was just a senior in high school who was still unsure of his own future. Sure, hero business was fun and all, but he only had one goal so he felt like he won't consider himself a true hero.
Anyhow, he took a step back, preparing for a run. He made a two-finger salute which he was known for. He then began a blur before completely disappearing a few seconds after. The civilians' brains couldn't process or even follow his movement. Shindo was out of the building in a flash, running towards the fleeing man. Everything was slow to him in this kind of state. He could analyze the ever closing figure of the 'civilian' earlier. Now that he saw him properly, it was that C-Class dude... Mrs. Pickles. He remembered that much thanks to the peculiar name. The guy was way bigger than him, too big for him to carry normally. He was only 5'10 for goodness's sake.
But he was trained to carry people way bigger than him. Shindo practically tackled the man and placed him over his shoulder. Mrs. Pickles would only feel like he was lifted before everything becomes a blur. He could only take the man only several meters away but that should be fine. Once they were a good amount of distance away that would take minutes upon minutes for Mrs. Pickles to run by himself, Shindo put the guy down and let out a breath. "Give me a break man. You're pretty heavy." He said before cracking his neck and hearing a 'pop'. Ah, that felt good. "Should've brought a gun huh?"
He looked back at Ventus and Sunshine. "Stay safe." He muttered before running at top speed towards the villain. He ran to the nearest house and broke in, sorry, and then took two knives. It was a distraction anyway. He ran back in time to see Sunshine be blown away. He reeled his arm back and then threw the knife with the sharp point towards the alien followed by the second knife.
My mind's all jumbled up and I can't seem to process what is happening. So, to be sure, Ventus and Sunshine are fighting it out with the alien while Mrs. Pickles is running for his dear life? Oh and is Mrs. Pickles still considered a civilian?
Shindo was, as usual, at school. It was break at that time. He was lying down with his back on the floor and looking up at the clear blue sky above. The feeling of a cool breeze passed by his face and the rustling of the grass and trees. The clouds moved with the wind. He was lying down in the school garden where no one would bother him. At least, no student would. This was his stomping grounds, a place where almost no one went to. It was mostly because they would be busy with things Shindo was already done with. Thanks to his speed, he could do most things in a flash. Ha, right, like Flash Forward. Beat villains in a flash and disappear right after. The villains had horrible timing. They always appear when he's busy with school.
His earpiece started to beep and he answered it. Danger Level Tiger in three cities? What was happening out there? They were dispatching all the heroes, and probably even vigilantes. Must be a real threat. He stood up and stretched. He took his bag and then took out a black half mask. He took off his school jacket and replaced it with a grey hoodie that had a stylized 'FF' on the back and when zipped up, a green lightning bolt within a white circle. Shindo became a blur as he shoved his into the school locker, replaced his shoes with outside shoes and then sped off to City S. The buildings were a blur to his vision but he knew they were there.
It only took him a few minutes to get to the City S and stopped near the building with the alien on it. He saw him shoot out two jet streams and headed for the City Evacuation. Crap. He could see that the alien was fast, but he was certainly faster. He took a deep breath and then disappeared into another blur. Good thing the streets were clear and he was free of bumping into anyone and he could make smooth turns. He could actually track the alien's movement and he long passed him before he got to the evacuation center.
He burst through the doors, much to everyone's fear and surprise. "I suggest you move the civilians to a much more secure place." He told one of the heads there. "The battle's not too far from here and there's a risk that the battle will turn here." He continued to explain. He then opened the door to look out, okay, the other heroes had it covered for now. He'll focus on support then.

City K - E.A. Machineries
Erika had closed up shop because of the evacuation notice. Goodness, she hasn't even gotten to take the hero exam and yet here it was, an alien is coming. Hopefully nothing inside the shop would be damaged considering that she pulled so many strings just to get the materials to upgrade Ayu and Razor inside. Erika moved towards the evacuation center with Ayu and Razor in tow.
Curiosity got the better of her and she headed towards where the villain was; basically? Opposite of where the people were running. Someone had already been there, Collider if she wasn't mistaken. Erika hid behind one of the far away buildings and looked at where the villain was. Spewing lava was it? That was hard.
"I think we can take 'im on." Razor said, a cocky grin appearing on his face. "Can't melt what it can't touch right?" The robot male was confident in his speed. Erika was as well but she turned to him with a worried look.
"It wouldn't work. You are at risk." Erika pointed out before looking back and placing a hand on her chin. It was organic, so she couldn't analyze the alien. But she'll observe how it fairs against Collider first before judging just how powerful it is. "Ayu is our best bet. Stand by Ayu."
"Understood." Ayu began warming up her system for a fight. A long ranged fight. Maybe hitting it with the anti-material cannon would seal the deal, but that would take a long time. Collider might need support. She'd decide once the alien moves. But she made sure that she and her robots were well hidden and out of the direct way of the villain. She wasn't a hero. Not yet anyway.
Yeah, sure. Erika would just love maintaining Izuma's weaponry. It's so... let's say, 'hard to get' for a poor sap like her. She would be more than willing to be his new mechanic!
You... you trust me? Well now, I will not let you down GM! Oh but I will edit in the history surrounding her brother who I apparently forgot for one reason or another.
As for the S-class peeps, yeah, limiting it would seem to be for the best.
I'm not sure if this could be considered OP or not. I'll make sure to have my limits of course.
The Puppeteer - Unranked
[Left: Erika; Right: Ayu]
Name: Erika Mikazuchi
Personality: Erika is quite an energetic person and is always seen with a smile on her face. She tends to see everything in a positive light. She tends to be the light to everyone around her as her happiness is quite contagious. Just being around her puts people in a good mood. She always seems to find hope in even the most dire of situations - and she would usually act on impulse to make this hope grow bigger, even at the risk of her own life. She tries hard to find a heart in villains and would tend to talk to them after they are in jail, or even after they are defeated - asking them to reform and such.
Though under this very well placed facade is a broken girl who has gone through everything a young one shouldn't have. She is afraid of losing anyone else - even a stranger. It's the reason why she wants to risk her own life than another's. It's also the reason why she wants villains to reform, so they can have another shot at life. She doesn't want to see people get hurt; unless, of course, they were villains who are harming other people. If she were to choose between a million lives and one life, she would probably choose the former.
Erika is a responsible girl - able to live alone at her age (19) and even get a shop running. She has been running it for two years now and business has been booming. She is also hardworking - working tirelessly for days with minimal sleep to give the best quality machine in the shortest time possible. This is an admirable trait of hers. She's also a smart girl, despite how air headed she may seem.
Brief History: Erika... didn't have the best of lives. Born and raised by two mechanics, she was introduced to machinery at a very young age. She had been tinkering with them at the young age of five. They were a happy family, to be honest. They only made enough to go by so she never had the chance to actually go to school so she learned everything from her parents, but that was fine for her. She was still able to play with children her age at the local park and spend more time with her family and machinery.
However, everything went wrong when she was ten years old. An unknown villain caused a disturbance in the peaceful city. It was unintentional, their deaths. The shop collapsed and her parents were crushed under the debris. She had been crying. The villain escaped and the heroes attempted to help the girl by digging up the rubble to hopefully find her parents alive. They weren't. She was sent to an orphanage but she didn't want to stay. She escaped at the age of fourteen and lived in an abandoned house for a while. She was working odd jobs here and there to get some spare money. It was when she was sixteen that she found out about her powers. A mechanic had seen her and picked her up, asking if she wanted to work for him, seeing her skill with machinery (partially because of her experience and her power). The man died a year later, apparently he was looking for an heir to the shop and he chose Erika.
She's been living alone again after that, now with at least some money. She built Ayu and Razor soon after and gave them life. They became her companions. She had lately taken the Hero test to at least get some more money. While business was going fine, she wants to get some more money for better equipment. She was only able to build Ayu and Razor because of the fact that her master had some pretty important metals lying around. Abilities:
Animation: To be more frank, Erika has the ability to place life into any inorganic object - from guns to tanks to robots, she could give them life - a personality, free will and such. They tend to work in tandem with her or follow her orders, but they are free to do whatever they wish to. However, Erika also has the ability to take away the life given to one of the creations. Though she can also give life to pictures (bringing them to the real world), elements and etc., she tends to do it mostly on robots.
Technological Manipulation: Erika can manipulate technology to an extent. She uses this in tandem whenever she creates new things - guns or otherwise. She knows what set piece of device can do and how she would use it is entirely up to her. She can 'see' what a device could do and also its intricate circuits. However, she cannot manipulate something bigger than a netbook. Anything more complicated/bigger than that, she would have to use her own hands. She can still see what it does, but only up to there.
Current Dolls:
Appearance seen above
Erika's longest surviving doll who has been fitted with one of the most durable metals found on Earth and Erika continues to work on her. She is fitted with an anti-material rifle that can transform into an arm and vice versa. Though this one would take a long time to charge before it could fire and then it would take a while to cool down. On her left arm though is a semi-automatic rifle that shoots out compacted plasma energy. When the anti-material rifle is fired, she cannot use her secondary weapon.
In terms of personality, Ayu is a silent type of person. She isn't shy or anything but she will not speak up when she doesn't have anything to say. She tends to be helpful. Though she is painfully honest, to the point of having no breaks when she wants to say something. Like most of the robots, she is protective of Erika and will move if something threatens Erika.
The second longest surviving doll she has that is modeled after her long dead brother. Her second most important project, next to Ayu. Razor is made of the same metal as Ayu, light but durable to an extent. Modeled exactly after his name, he can turn his arms to razor sharp blades and a layer of plasma over it that could cut through virtually anything given enough force. He is built to be fast and so he is, his specs allows him to go over a hundred kilometers per hour. Maybe an upgrade could make him go faster but he would burn up if he went faster at this level. Retractable blades are found on his shoulder blades and there are five feet in length when extended fully.
In terms of personality, Razor is an extremely loyal, butler-like person. He gets a kick out of teasing other people and often shows sadistic tendencies. If given the chance, he would most likely draw out a fight just to keep on attacking an enemy. Erika keeps him in a very tight leash. Like almost every robot, he is loyal and protective of Erika and will respond aggressively when she is threatened. He can even drop threats every now and then when he sees someone who would most likely harm Erika.
Skills:
Techno: Skilled in the arts of making anything technology-related, it is one of the main reasons why her power plays well into her everyday life. She runs a mechanic shop by herself and her robots. Though she tends to work on prosthetics, machinery, computers and the like. She can't exactly make robots left and right yet, lest they malfunction.
Household chores: Seeing as she lived by herself for quite some time before acquiring her dolls, she learned how to do a multitude of household chores. She's just as good with food as she is with techno stuff.
Possible Goals?: Reform the villains one way or another!
Other:
She's reached her max limit for humanoid dolls and she'd have to destroy one if she wants to make another. Unless she powers up.
Currently, she can bring around three smaller toys to life and use them for maybe reckon or strapping them with a small bomb.
