The Ten Rings

It had only been a while but Brandon has nearly filled his bag with all the goods he managed to buy and his gold pouch wasn't very low yet. Maybe he could visit another two shops before leaving the town. So he entered one of the food shops that dot the town.

"Pleasure doing business with you!" He called out. Brandon had only exited a store when Shawn suddenly stiffened and sniffed around. The brown haired male looked curiously at his pet, wondering what had gotten into the black Labrador. It then took off, much to Brandon's shock. He quickly chased after the dog, nearly bumping into anyone who was in the way. For a pretty old dog, he ran so fast. But the only thing he was worrying was why his dog was running away.

Shawn brushed against Jill's legs and barked. However, it was no angry bark - it was more friendly. Its tail was wagging. It was as if it was sensing her sadness and then wanted to see if she needed some help. Though, to be perfectly honest, a dog suddenly charging at you doesn't seem to be the friendliest of sights.

Brandon was close behind. "Shawn, what are you doing!?" He yelled out before skidding to a stop beside the black dog who was still staring at the girl, ignoring his master completely. Brandon frantically looked between his dog and Jill. "U-Uh, I'm sorry! Did my dog do anything to you? I don't know what overcame him. I am so very sorry!" Brandon kept bowing to the girl. He then turned to Shawn. "You should apologize for disturbing the lady too!" It would seem that the two had some form of connection that you would see a master and his pet. Shawn's tail stopped wagging and it looked down on the ground as Brandon reprimanded the dog.

Two Weeks Ago - Location: Takigawa Family House

Kazuhiro pulled up on the small gate to his house. It was a relatively smaller house to everyone else's. The only reason they weren't having trouble with this house and land was because it was passed down from his mother's bloodline. It looks a little run-down now, unfortunately, but he resolved to make it look better. He opened the creaky gate and then pushed his motorcycle inside. He closed it behind him, took the plastic bag that he got from the family restaurant he was working at and then entered the house to be met by four hyper-energetic animals.

Ryo was the first one to run to the door when he opened the door but Luri and Ruri were right behind him. Kyo was the last one to arrive because he was just a small pup. "You guys interested in this? Huh?" He raised the plastic bag and Ryo started barking, and the two cats purred around his legs. "Fine, fine. We'll eat together later okay?" It was saddening that he could only get them leftovers for most of the week but they seemed alright with that. Kyo, however, had to feed on milk because he was too young.

He then heard the gate creaking and he opened the door. His smile widened upon seeing his little sister, Ena. Kazu waved at her and she energetically waved back at him. "Hi bro! Already back at home huh?" She commented before entering the house and then petting each one of the animals. She giggled as the animals licked her affectionately. "I'll cook dinner tonight right bro?"

Kazu sighed. "You can't cook for you life Ena. But yes, it is. Mom won't be back until late at night though." He then walked past her and into the kitchen and placed the plastic bag on the table. "I'm gonna leave the pets' food here."

"Okay~"

Kazu prepared to clean up the house. However, before that, he looked at his phone to see a new mail. He read the mail and his eyes glinted with interest. Well, now what was this? The date was two weeks from now and he was certainly free at that time. Even if it was just a scam, he didn't have anything to lose at this point. Maybe he'll go.

August 25, 2020 - Location: A bar at Kabukicho

Kazuhiro left the house in a rush. He wasn't late but he'd rather not risk it. Kabikuchi wasn't very far from his home. He never frequented that place - it was a place for the rich, not the poor. He stopped at the stoplight and looked at his phone. He read the whole message again. It was still suspicious as hell. At least he didn't bring that much money if it ends up being that kind of thing.

His eyes travelled upwards to notice that the light just turned green. He slipped his phone inside and pushed forward. He parked in front of the bar and locked the wheels, just in case. He'd rather not have to explain why he lost the motorcycle that he didn't even pay for. Even he had a conscience. He looked at the entrance of the bar. Ah, let's just get this over it. The quicker this goes, the better.

It was surprising to see that there was a number of teenagers among them. Then again, he should have expected it considering a lot of them must have gone through some bullying. Kazu turned to the man named Jin who had called them all out here. The bartender had made rounds for them to order but Kazu decided not to order anything. He heard these were expensive. He listened closely to what he was saying. He let everything process for now.

And then came the containers. He looked at his and opened it, a syringe with some sort of fluid inside of it. His eyes narrowed at it as he picked it up. Questions were now entertained and the first one came from a meek girl. It was a good question. It would seem that most of them were quite skeptical at the safety of this. He doubted Jin would say anything about the whole plan for world domination when he's not sure that everyone would be aboard the plan so he'd have to push that for later. The only two things that were going through his mind was if he would actually join this shady group and what kind of quirk he'll get from this injection.

Yup.

I just got into thinking. He could create portals on his own shirt or anything that he's wearing. Now if someone punches him in the gut, it just goes through the portal.

Though it might be a while before he can quickly do it all.

"Introduce myself? Why would I need to... Fine. My name is Takigawa Kazuhiro. You can call me Kazu or whatever, I don't particularly care. As for my age, I just turned old enough to be able to drink legally in Japan. My gender? Are you blind? I am obviously male."

"Why do you think I'm going to be able to respond to that correctly? Try? Alright, I'll certainly try. First off, I like to think myself as an energy conserving type of person. I don't like to waste my time with pointless conversation. I will talk if you engage me with this; however, I will respond with very short sentences. They call me rude, but I'm just trying to not waste my time. People often say I release the type of aura where you don't want to disturb me or else. It's quite true. Don't interact with me unless needed. If you're going to slide to me to ask 'what's up', you bet your ass I'm going to say whatever is literally on top of us."

"I prefer listening than talking. If people can yapper on beside me, then that is completely fine to me. It's how my friends deal with me. I'll say something when I feel the need to say something. If I'm silent, continue speaking or leave entirely. To be honest, I consider myself as a lazy person in terms of not wanting anything other than what I need or want to do. Arguing with other people? When it's pointless, I don't even try. When it's dragging too long, I prefer to stop. I have a very limited energy reservoir and if that depletes, I need to rest. No human interaction when I'm resting is ideal."

[BACKGROUND]

"My... past? I try not to think about it too much but if you must know then I'll suppose I'll have to tell you. To start off, I was the only one in class who didn't get a Quirk. You know what that means right? Kid's Quirkless, bully him. So I was. They felt like they were superior. I fought back before, tried to prove that I'm better at them. I learned how to fight somewhat back then. But I always kept getting beaten down. What did I expect? They have cool powers and I had what? My body? I don't know when I stopped fighting back, but I did. They weren't worth my energy anymore. I just accepted the hits. You'll probably say, why didn't I tell on them? I did, and it didn't work. When your classmates acted like goody-two-shoes when the adults are around, it usually didn't work. They just thought I was jealous of them or something like that so they left it be. They were a bunch of words I cannot say in this interview I assume."

"Middle School was the same. Highschool was better. At least there were other Quirkless people with me so there wasn't much bullying... I've had some friends. Of course, there was still some bullying but it doesn't affect me as much. I worked as a fast food restaurant cook as my part-time job. Ah, I forgot to mention that I live with a single mother yeah? Well, my father left my mother when I was really young. I also have a younger sister named Ena. She has a Quirk, by the way, but I love her nonetheless. Anyway, I worked part-time job because my mom is having trouble with financing both my sister and I's education so I tried my best."

"I didn't go to college because my mother got sick so she's only recommended to go to one job. I became a full-time cook for a fast food chain at first but now I'm cooking at a family restaurant but I also deal with deliveries since I'm just an assistant cook. I get to keep the motorcycle and they pay for the gas when I'm on deliveries. It pays a lot better too. But I think I can do something more. After all, I have to half-pay for the bills and take care of our pets. I didn't tell you about our pets too? My sister likes taking strays in so we have two Ragdoll cats, one German Shepherd, and one Shiba Inu. Actually they're not strays but more like the other families gave them off by leaving them so Ena took them all in. They're sweet though so it's worth it. Their names, respectively, are Luri, Ruri, Ryo and Kyo."

"As you can tell, I'm excellent at cooking. I like experimenting around the kitchen. My family and I are apparently gifted with working with animals, but I don't know if you can consider that a talent or something. I'm multilingual - English, Japanese, Filipino and some Korean. I think it's probably because I read a lot. I learned a lot in the streets. Streetfighting was one of them though I'm nowhere near the level of those who fight daily. You could call it self-defense. I'm a pretty good photographer and I have this camera my friend gave to me. It's a pretty old camera though but it's fine."

"It basically acts like a portal. I can open up a portal from one place to another as long as I have a visual of that place. Anything can pass through this portal so you can see an image of the place the portal opens up to. This allows for instantaneous transport from one point to another. I can expand it as big as I want, if I'm not mistaken, as long as it fits within the wall I'm putting it on."

"Oh boy, let's see here... First off, all the portals have to be made on a solid object. Say on a wall, or the floor... so I can't project it on an empty space. Definitely not. Anyone can pass through the portal, obviously, so that can be a downside. I also need a clear visual on where I should place the portal. If I can remember it clearly, say like my house, I can open a portal. However, it is most effective when I'm looking at it at present time or if there's a photograph. Keeping it up for more than ten minutes is really hard where I get really dizzy, shorter if it's big enough to fits more than five people at the same time. I pass out if it's too long. I also can't close a portal when someone is in it... so unfortunately, I can't just cut them in half."
