Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

So, Fran and Jack. Just like him, they gave no family name - or perhaps they didn't have any? Perhaps they shed it off them as they started their own journeys in life? Gabriel knew people like that, and they were certainly interesting as they were driven. He was about to say something when someone bumped into him - well, more like it felt like the person ran into him full force as they both fell down. "Ah..." Gabriel was pretty much shocked, not hurt, but simply shocked.

"Hey, are you-" Gabriel looked towards the person who bumped into him whose books were all over the place. But when he looked up, the person was already scurrying away with his arms filled with the books that had fallen. "-alright? Okay, they're gone." He finished his sentence as he watched the person run away from them. The male stood up and dusted himself off. The person seemed really nervous about what had happened, though he did guess that slamming into someone would be a correct reason for embarrassment. Still, the guy didn't even say 'sorry' about it all. Perhaps that was what really irritated Gabriel, but he wasn't sure as his attention was taken by Jack as he brought up a paper.

There was a town with a cross on it and the forest near it with a circle. "Isn't the town Nadska and the forest outside is the one encircled?" He asked, as if to make sure, and pointed at the symbols as he spoke. Leaning back and placed both his hands inside his pockets, he began to think. Now what did that mean? The only possible answers did spell dark things about what would happen. He began humming as he continued to think before finally sharing what was on his mind. "There's a lot of possible answers. It might be that they're already done looting this place so that's why there's an 'X', but it might also mean that this place would be their target and they would be coming from the forest. Or maybe there's treasure here." He then gave him a small shrug. "I really don't know."

From a distance, it was like he could hear two roars. This did cause Gabriel to look around to attempt to search for the sources of the sound, but it yielded nothing. Considering how early into the morning it was and the dark area around him, it was understandable he wouldn't be able to see too far. The lights coming from the houses had been extinguished as well, but he wouldn't doubt someone would wake up thanks to that. Now that he thought about it, he should have already gone to sleep. Shame, that tavern was the only place he could sleep at but now he couldn't go back because the owner was dead and there was what amounted to a crime scene upstairs as well.

He then turned back to the two. "Think we should follow the guy?" He gestured towards where the stranger had disappeared to.
I will also throw my hat into this.

General Luna

Luna saw Dancia shoot a disapproving look at her, which really didn't bother the general, but decided that maybe she had a plan of action that would be better than going in swinging. Entering a relaxed posture with her blade resting on her shoulder, she watched as the Dancer walked up to the stage to shield the other woman and then went ahead on a speech to attempt to solve this peacefully. She admired the woman's level head, to be honest, but Luna saw the public speaker react negatively from body language alone - and the townsfolk weren't exactly in favor of her little speech either. Her hand tightened around the grip of her sword.

Looking towards Emma and Shade, she gestured for them to get ready just in case things were to get out of hand. What the Footmen lacked in skill and weaponry, they made up for sheer number and that was what really worried her. This was an entire village worth of Footmen after all. Taking a deep breath, she sheathed her sword and then headed up the stage as the speaker started retaliating Dancia's speech. Luna positioned herself near the Ortusians, who were huddled up in the middle. Luna looked at the public speaker - her mere presence commanding respect and obedience. "And what of you? Were you at Dragonrage Pass? What proof other than mere speculation do you have to hang these people for crimes they may not have even committed."

She thought of pulling rank - telling them that a General of Archanea was speaking to them personally and did not approve of what they were doing. But what power did she hold in this village? Being outside the actual borders of Archanea, she had no real power here that would make them bend the knee immediately. However, the mere fact that they were at Dragonrage Pass was at the very least true. If they were to believe that much, then their group would be safe. Well, it's time to see what would happen. "I can tell you this much, we were at Dragonrage Pass personally. We saw that tent go up in flames, and the blame was thrown around without any sort of concrete evidence. Only the Dwarves and the League was present. Are you saying that security was not tight enough that an Ortusian managed to get through to do all that? All while entire armies were watching?" She then shook her head, wondering whether or not the man would even listen at this point.

Then they were blamed as Ortusian sympathizers. Even though centuries have passed since their 'mistake', Ortusians never seem to get a break. Poor people. And now those who didn't stand by while injustice was happening before them were also being branded as traitors to their own kind. It took her ever fiber of her being not to charge at this man here and there to slice his head off his shoulders. Taking another deep breath, she continued. "We were merely asking for proof of what they have done to warrant a hanging. Is being an Ortusian a crime now? Last time I checked, it was not." She turned towards Dancia, hoping that the girl also had something to say. Maybe swaying the Footmen would be better at this point. After all, a leader without people to lead is as harmless as a baby.

Gabriel looked at the group of three from earlier - the interesting ones. After all, you don't get to see an Elf, a Construct and a Myti interact all at the same time in a small tavern in a no-name town like Nadksa. There must be more to this story. There was no way this could be a coincidence. He eyed Jack and Fauve as they exited the tavern, bags filled with the evidence that they sort of pillaged the tavern. He gave them both a smile and a nod. Then there was the case of that mysterious woman who went in and killed two people. And then the man with the mysterious gloves. It was such an interesting cast, and he had no doubt that Fauve might have her own uniqueness to show him.

He wanted to know more about those three specially though. He caught wind of their conversation inside the tavern before, and he heard that the Myti say that he studies magical artifacts as well and he wanted to share some notes. While research wasn't his main thing, he at least wanted to learn more about the number of magical artifacts that dotted their land. Maybe he could even help him with deciphering the runes that deactivated one of the magical artifacts they got back from the last ruin he delved into. It's been months and every experiment he pulled to activate the damned piece of gem, and he still didn't know what the effect of that gem is.

Gabriel's eyes narrowed at the group as the Myti pulled a book out and the Construct seemed particularly worried. Huh. Now that was odd. After a short while of looking at them and watching if the guards was going to rush the tavern - which they did not - he headed over to Fauve and Jack - swinging right by when Fauve introduced herself, missing anything that might have happened before. Perhaps for the best. "See you two had a field day in there." He said with a light laugh, obviously undisturbed by this. After all, ruin hoppers like himself were just glorified thieves - or grave robbers. Really, it depends on where they went. So he had no right to judge those who steal from the living, or else his own profession might be called just simple stealing people from the dead. However noble the reasons might be.

"As much as I don't think we'll be seeing each other after this, I would at least like to know who I spent this interesting night with." Gabriel first said as he placed his hand on his waist. At least the two weren't drunk yet, despite how many bottles they've downed. Their tolerance was admirable. "The name's Gabriel. If you don't mind, would you tell me yours?" His family name wasn't important, and it was a card he was not going to play. Not when it didn't really have a point. There's also that chance where saying it might put his possessions in jeopardy. What little he brings is important to his travels, so he'd rather not lose it.

Gabriel leaned forward at the counter as Fauve told him that the hooded woman must have had a good reason to do what she did. He gave her a small shrug, "I guess you might be right. Ah but she could have been way more discrete though." He watched her as she began covering up the body by pushing it into the cupboard and then covering up the blood with a mat. It did the job relatively well, and if no one piped up about the murder, then no one would really know until they wondered where the bartender was. By then, they'd all be gone, or that's what he assumed. Hopefully, that would be the case. Not reporting this and hiding the body made it seem like they were accomplices of some kind. He'd rather not have to pull out more gold out of his pockets than necessary.

Looking towards Jack, he gave him a small smile and a shrug. "If what she said is true and there was a reason to all these killings, then I would assume our dear mysterious woman is the hero of the story." There was little evidence as to point out if this was all made for righteous justice or simple mindless killing. They didn't know the whole story - and they probably never will unless they happen to find the people who did it. Which was, without a doubt, hard to do as he presumed they would have already left by then.

He then watched as Fauve went on to claim anything in the tavern that caught her fancy - from beverages to coin - she took it all. Gabriel wasn't above scavenging, but he would rather steal from those who have stolen rather than someone who was, presumably, innocent like this tavern owner right here. Gabriel shook his head politely. "No thank you. I think I've had a good fill of whatever this tavern could offer." Besides, even with his family in shambles, he was rather sure he could buy the tavern without a problem so a few gold coins like this one had wasn't really a shame to let go.

The Saldosius child stretched his arms before strapping his sword back on his waist. He looked back at the two. "I do assume we have to hurry. Someone did scream and someone might come bursting in demanding answers." He then gestured to everything around them. It was an empty tavern aside from the three of them with one's bag filled with beverages and coin from said tavern, one dead tavern owner, and one dead somebody upstairs. "And as you can see, our position isn't exactly favorable." He pointed out with a small smile. "I'd really rather not go to jail."

After all, what would Micah say if she caught wind that her only brother left was in jail for theft and murder? Gabriel figured it would be disappointment, anger and frustration since he added up to her ever growing list of problems. He cared about his sister a lot so he'd rather not make her go through so many hardships. Though, then again, he could lie his way out. He was a merchant, after all, and he had silver tongue to come with that title. Though that might prove to be difficult and too much of a hassle for him.

Once a few minutes passed, he continued. "Well then, I suppose that's enough! Let's go." He gave the two a smile before exiting the tavern, making sure that no one was there to see him slip out in the dead of the night. The guards weren't there yet, at the very least, and they could slip by unnoticed - given that the woman didn't make a blunder and accidentally reveal her bag full of contents of the tavern. This might be the most fun first interaction he has ever had with anyone, and he only just realized that he hadn't gotten the two's names. Hopefully they followed out, but he kept an eye out for them anyway.

Klaus entered a certain meeting room inside his house - one that was furnished better than the rest of his house. It was reserved for when he had to meet with the scientists but had no time to drop by to actually physically meet with them. Grabbing a pair of glasses and an earpiece and putting them on, seven people appeared before him and was sitting down on some of the chairs. They were bright minds - though not as bright as the other scientists going forth with creating prosthetics and medicine, but this was another field entirely anyway. Half of them were from Korven, and one secretly from Lisden. Sometimes, the smartest people can be found in the most unexpected of places.

"Welcome sir." The woman in front said as she nodded at him. Klaus waved back in response as he sat down at the end of the table before leaning forward.

He took a deep breath as he eyed the people in front of him. "Now, tell me. What kind of breakthrough have you made to warrant an emergency meeting this early in the morning?" Don't mistake his wording for anger. In fact, he was quite pleased that his men were still working even though it was three o'clock in the morning. However, to call for an emergency meeting like this meant that it had to be big and important.

The first man to the right stood up - Lawrence. "You see sir, we have reports about the latest design for our new assault rifle..."

Klaus listened intently to their reports, watching as the holographic images popped up to explain the intricate details of each malfunction. They droned on and on and Klaus replied in turn. It did cause a headache for the older man, who had just woken up minutes before the meeting started and he already had to kick open his mind to help solve the problems that had arisen due to some miscalculations in their parts.

The meeting came to a close two hours later and Klaus was already mentally exhausted. They all bid farewell and appreciated the fact that he had helped before he took off his glasses and earpiece. He leaned back into his chair and rubbed his temples. What a bother, but such was life. He plunged into this job knowing the consequences, and he was more than happy to take it on. Yawning rather loudly, he stood up and headed down to his living room to be met by his two companions in this house that wasn't family - Jared and Leila - but both integral part of his household. He found the two a long time ago, back when Leila was just a baby and Jared was still in Korven. He took them in after a deal and they've been serving him since then.

"Good morning Sir Klaus." Leila chirped happily - already energetic so early in the morning. "A cup of coffee I assume?" She questioned as she already headed towards the kitchen.

Klaus nodded. "Yes, thank you Leila." He replied before heading over to the dining room where Jared had already set up breakfast. "Already done with yours?"

"Yes sir." Jared replied with a small smile before bowing and letting him be.

The day went on but Klaus was working home this day. After all, he had to go visit Jacqueline's grave later and he'd rather not go to the company building first or else he knew he was going to get stuck there until well into the night. He was in his living room, typing letter after letter about deliveries and deals to be made - his phone ringing every other e-mail sent. Meanwhile, Leila and Jared were making themselves busy with rearranging the papers Klaus was messing up because of his work, and they sometimes even go ahead to take some of the work load off their master.

That was when an emergency message popped up from a holographic screen to his side - though it was more of a real time report coming from one of the journalists he was following. Curiosity getting the best of him, he looked over to read what has happened so far. In the midst of Summer, someone decided to set fire to three places. Klaus couldn't help but groan. Like it wasn't hot enough already. His house wasn't anywhere near these places, and certainly not around his other buildings, so he didn't feel too worried. But certainly, everything was growing chaotic.

"Jared." The man called out without looking up from the article. As he heard the footsteps stopped, he continued. "Get a squad to help out with the fire on the entry point. We can't have that place too chaotic, or else we'll have to rely on New Osaka more than we already have."

"Right away sir."

Klaus usually had trucks transporting important metals from Lisden to Korven to Eden - and he would often use New Osaka for a safer passage. But he felt as if he was intruding too much on The Unseen territory, so he would sometimes use normal routes to get there. They weren't as safe, but it was still convenient. If that place closed down, then it would cause a headache for him more than he already has. He had a thought of sending someone to help with the apartment building fire in Korven, but that would be too much and he didn't actually have anything to gain from that.

The television's show shifted and he could hear Leila's confusion. The girl was a teenager after all, and would often stop to watch her regular TV shows. It didn't bother him very much, it wasn't like he needed them on their feet twenty-four seven... always. Klaus turned his attention to the show and saw Morvai's face there. He groaned. Klaus didn't actually like the guy, but he would never say that out loud. He would avoid any sort of personal meetings with him, and he was sure that the president reciprocated the feeling.

"Oh, it's President of MorCo." Leila said and she didn't seem to notice Klaus hovering near her as they watched the speech. Joseph went on about how hot it was and then telling everyone to buy their products, followed by an advertisement, before going on to say that help was on the way.

"Of course that man would prioritize an advertisement over helping his fellow citizens." He commented with a shake of his head. While he, himself, was no better, he at least wouldn't just go around and flaunting his weapons when there's a disaster happening. Then again, he was pretty damn sure the person doesn't care about anyone else but himself and his money. Who knows.

Leila sighed in relief though. "At least he sent help. The apartment fire in Korven might spread if it isn't stopped you know?"

Klaus looked at her for a moment. "Do you really think that he would send someone to Korven? I'm sure they can handle it themselves, because if they don't, well... There's around a point something percent in Eden's population who cares about them, no one would help." Klaus knew everything about that. He was from Lisden, after all, and he knew just how the people in Eden wouldn't even come close to any of them without scrunching up their faces or having something between them. His fellow citizens of Eden didn't care. He knew that much.

Her eyes widened. "I know that but..." She then slumped back onto the couch. "Can they really help themselves?"

The black haired male couldn't help but smile at that. "The people of Korven are more resilient than you think. Way better than those who live here at the very least. They'll survive."

Leila didn't seem too convinced, but Klaus already said his piece. He left the girl alone and then sat back down on his couch to continue his work. Work hard and get rich, he remembered Joseph saying that before, like it was the easiest thing in the world to do. Klaus had given everything he had to get here now, and that was only because he was lucky. Not everyone could do it. If it was so easy, then the entire population would have been in Eden already.

Sighing, he took out his phone and called Jared. "Go take a look at the situation in Korven. Looks like your daughter's a little worried about it."

There was a chuckle on the other side of the phone. "Whatever you say sir."

Wonder what would happen now. After his visit to his late wife's grave, maybe he should head over to New Osaka to talk with his associate within The Unseen. Maybe that would help to give him a direction to do for this day. It would be lovely to get away from the work for a little while, as it also seemed that things have stabilized in both the company and the research department. Well, that was for now, at the very least.

Oh, hey, Luna hasn't charged in yet. Just unsheathed her sword but still kept out of the way. She was just asking the others about what they want to do; though yes, her allegiances was pretty much for the Ortusians right now, but she hasn't acted rashly.

She's a stubborn and reckless idiot, but not by that much considering she's with others.

Gabriel, as before, seemed rather distracted compared to his earlier attention on them. His eyes kept on fleeting towards the others - taking in the information of what was happening around him. The Myti seemed to have disappeared, along with the construct and the elf. Odd, maybe they didn't like it enough at the tavern. Then someone came in, a bard of sorts if he wasn't mistaken. A flute player? He headed straight for the mysterious woman who had... oh he hadn't noticed her come back really. But there was nothing else to really look forward to, after that.

He raised a cup to her as he smirked, "Merchant would be the correct term. Selling enchanted items all around, tryin' to make some gold from it to survive." The older male finished the cup, and it didn't seeem to affect him all that much, aside from the fact that he leaned back a bit - indicating that he'd certainly had his fill. Having drunk at least three different types of alcohol for the past hour, he was rather sure that he was going to hit his limit soon, and he'd rather not get anything swiped off him. "Though I'd like to be known as a man you can look to for odd jobs. Like ruin hopping... monster hunting and the likes."

With his attention divided between Fauve's outrageous suggestion and the fact that he only now just processed that the flute player had disappeared due to some guard violently pushing him away. Blinking, he looked back at Fauve with a confused look. "Having fun on an evening like this? 'Fraid I have to leave rather early tomorrow. I'm in search for answers, no time for small breaks." Gabriel then blinked as the mysterious woman exited the kitchen with a bloody knife.

And he wasn't the only one to notice.

Fauve was already up on her feet to check it out. Gabriel was close behind to check it out. Lying on his own pool of blood, the bartender was most definitely dead. Gabriel blinked. And then again. Wow, there must have been quite a change in Nadska since he last came here. The last time he was here, it didn't attract murderers. Or anyone who was even remotely righteous, in this regard. Looking towards the stairs, he gestured at Fauve.

"It's not our business, but it didn't look like that girl's business either." Gabriel walked back to the other side of the counter. It wasn't soon until he heard thumping, and a scream. Then nothing but silence. Running a gloved hand through his brown locks, he couldn't help but shake his head. "Sounds like it's a done deed." With a yawn, he wondered if he should head up or not. It sounded rather dangerous to do so, given what had happened up top.

Gabriel didn't really want anything to happen which is the reason he came to Nadska in the first place. No doubt the guards would be swarming this tavern as soon as the other patrons noticed what they had, and possibly even question them why they didn't say anything. Guards ask questions, a lot of them. If he wanted for everything to be over with, it would have been better to just leave here and now.

"Looks like it's going to be a busy night. Hope not too much though." He mused. Now that there was only just a few more hours before he had to retire, judging from what was happening. This tavern now reeks of death. Poor Nadska - this normal quaint little town has just been shown a little bit of excitement for once. Not so fortunate, isn't it?
Furitta seemed rather shocked when she recovered thanks to the hands of the glassy eyed students attempting to grab her towards them. Quickly flipping the owner of the one hand that had grabbed her shoulder, she jumped away from the group and backed away, only to find Talon had stuck herself to the wall.

But then she heard it. "Rouge... Bat? He's here?" She couldn't help but whisper. Him? A villain? No... no there was no possible way that the same hero she looked up to and gave her the strength to fight for what was right could have turned evil. It just didn't add up! With his morals and everything he had done, why would he turn evil?

Furitta seemed to be frozen on the spot as she spotted the same hero she had admired all these years. The same hero who disappeared suddenly, leaving everyone to suffer but at least not as much as before. Furitta saw his whip heading for Talon who quickly deflected it without a problem. So he was an enemy. Her mind just couldn't process the fact that he could be evil. The moment of buckle caused her to be quickly apprehended, and that snapped her back to reality. Quickly pushing herself upwards, her head connected with the teen's own and he let her go. Gods that hurt but at least she got away.

That was when a bunch of Serpentines appeared and began attempting to attack, but nothing really hit. She caugh enough of a gist to know what was up even before she said it. Blocking the memory of the betrayal of her hero for now, she turned quickly to Talon. "Let's go!" She shouted before rushing towards the Instructor. With newfound anger at the betrayal festering up, she tried to use her full momentum to tackle the man and get the whip. Along with that, she attempted to swing a punch towards him.
