<Snipped quote by Polybius>

Ideally, I'd like a frequency of at the very least twice a week

Great! I guess I will brush up on my middle eastern mythology.
Interested. What kind of posting frequency?
@Polybius

Just want you to know that, as we're on the weekend, I'll finally be able to create my character and join the RP

Unless I'm too late?

Nope jump in. That's weird cause I'm most active during the week
I do have an idea for a former-adventurer-turned-cartographer-and-monster-researcher, but I'm worried he might be a little OP since he combines the physical ability and intense field experience of an adventurer, and the knowledgeable, thorough nature of a scholar.

Don't get too caught up in the details of your character, just jump in and start creating!
@Polybius I'm not going to be able to post until you say something.

I'm at work all weekend :| Will post something to move things forward tonight.
Edit: I'm dumb of course your accepted. The earth stuff is sort of polar opposite to what I want the universe to reflect, but it shouldn't be a problem.
@Twisted Fate@Voltus_Ventus Still welcome to join guys

The Sleeper's Spine Mountains

(Geography)

Brief Historical Summary

For generations, the Sleepers-Spine Mountain Range or simply 'The Spine' has captured the imaginations of mankind. A short journey north of the Relnish Heartland, the mountains remain a source of mystery and ritual for many. The mountains are divided into three distinct ranges and elevations, the oldest and most sacred , The Fingers of St. Titus, hold the immensely important Fountain of Light, a holy site crucial to the binding & branding ritual of the The Convent of the Seven Souls.

Legend tells of the mythic Sky Elves and their cloud cities atop The Spine during the reign of Emperor Haldisfar. The ruins of those cloud-city towers can still be seen on clear, cloudless days as far away as The Kingdom of Rhiordan, appearing as the bony spine of some slumbering monster, giving the mountains their current name. In the time of Emperor Haldisfar he used this imposing appearance to dissuade followers of Great Ignaes from travelling into the mountains. Many modern scholars now associate this 'shunning' of the mountains with the appearance of Stone Trolls some 800 years ago.

It is well recorded in the histories of Reln that Haldisfar died, not on Pelmar's Lake in some mock-naval battle of whimsy, (as is a popular tale among bards of the land) but rather on the field of battle, defending the immensely important Fountain of Light from the horde of Stone Trolls that emerged from the Valsyian Wilds on the northern side of the mountains. Whatever the case, both the Stone Trolls (although in considerably decreased numbers1), the various offshoots of that vile creature and the Fountain of Light still exist to this day.

South Bay Hangar

"Hey! Stop doing that to the ship, treat it with respect or I will shoot you!," Azir yelled out as he neared the ship, his facial tentacles flaring out in anger.

The port crewmen turned to face the other men yelling at them. The man zipped up his pants and called back, "Your not gonna shoot anyone sweetheart this here is-OH MY GOD!" He tumbled backwards at the sight of the C'lok, and the swirling shadows of the man behind him.

"Do you have a problem, sir?" said the Тень.

The drunk mechanic fell off the side of the ship. His safety harness snagged on his partner and he too followed with a yelp, falling to the ground below. The harness snapped back and the two men were stuck dangling a few feet from the hangar floor, confused and covered in urine. One of them began snoring loudly. Erek thought he heard a whimper from the other.

Captain Erek

Erek watched the exchange with slight amusement. The squid-man looked familiar to Captain Erek but he couldn't quite place the face er..tentacles. A C'lok in this sector? he thought approaching the man. "You looking for a job?" he asked. Then the man from shadow stepped forward. Erek hesitated.

Captain Erek had heard of the Тень but never seen one in person. "And you? I...hope your here for a job as well?" Erek stared at the two mercenaries. The cold dead eyes of the C'lok unnerved him. The shadows swirling around the Тень seemed to grow darker, more intense the longer Captain Erek was in his presence. "Come on fella's what'll it be? You looking for a job?"
@Lauder Do you pronounce the C'lok like (see'lock') or like (kuh'lock) or something else?
