A few things about me:
My name is Fox, I've been doing RP for about 11 years and playing/running TRPGs for going on 6 years. Outside of RP I enjoy drawing, writing, hiking, reading, and equestrian. I enjoy most genres of books, movies, TV shows, etc., so I'm down for pretty much anything!
I have an Italian Grayhound named Harley and he is the best dog in the world, and I really love animals in general.
I'm looking forward to getting to know some new people!

@Humble1 It lines up with our own history, but I'm not really sweating the details a whole lot since historical events won't be super prevalent beyond maybe a mention in game or in someone's backstory
Great! If you have any other questions feel free to ask
@UtraxAt the moment I'm planning on posting in casual, so two short paragraphs would be bare minimum requirement. Enough for people to be able to react to it. That being said, if people want to post more fleshed out descriptions and dialogue they are more than welcome to do so, but I'm not going to require more than someone is comfortable writing for a casual RP.
@Kelewen
It is common knowledge and there are some people/gangs, generally human, that try to hunt them down to a certain extent. Though some people are likely still convinced that they're just stories

It’s 1875 in the city known as Serpent’s Snag. Situated on the eastern border of Texas and Louisiana it is generally hot and humid, though the sea breeze blows through often enough it isn’t unbearable. In this city supernatural creatures reside among humans and bitter wars are waged as the cowboy era is beginning to draw to a close and industry is on the rise. War between the industrialists and the farmers, the gangs and the law, the humans and the beasts. Who are you and which side will you decide to take as shadows fall over the city and tensions are on the rise.

Essentially this is going to be a western style setting with supernatural elements. A city split into territories run by various supernatural creatures and all the chaos that comes with it. I'm planning for mysteries, fights, bank robberies. Whatever might be fun!

I have a good chunk of lore for each creature and notable locations figured out, but I didn't want to overwhelm an interest check. So, if there's something you want to know just ask or PM me!

Eclipse sighed with mock exasperation as one of his few other friends in the palace landed on the ground next to him, "And here I was hoping I wouldn't have to interact with anyone else today," he flicked Skua with the tip of his tail in a friendly manner; puffing his chest out and pitching his voice up to more closely match that of his aunt, "You've gotten in the way of my haughty gaze over the commoners." He and Ash chuckled as he let his chest fall. Ash turned towards Skua with a matching teasing smile on his face.

"Rather shocking isn't it. I expected him to stay up and out of the way the entirety of the festival," he turned the toothy grin on Eclipse, "and that would be a tragedy." Eclipse simply rolled his eyes, legitimately sighing this time. He looked towards the sky as if silently asking it why he decided to put up with these ridiculous dragons that he called friends. He might act as if they annoyed him but he really didn't know what he would do if they didn't take the time to hang out. He'd probably go crazy trapped in the palace with all of the other high and mighty royal types. They could be insufferable with all the gossip and posturing they did, he just couldn't understand it.

He glanced back down, "Well I don't know about the rest of you but I'm starving," he grinned towards Sunrise, the smallest out of the whole group, "Great skies knows you could use more meat on your bones." He leapt sideways ducking behind Skua as she swiped a claw at him, "She's a menace I tell you, trying to attack someone in broad daylight," he added a wounded tone to his voice as Sunrise barred her teeth at him, which from any other dragon would probably be intimidating, but from her it just looked kind of cute. Ash took a step forward and patted her gently on the head in a way that seemed both placating and degrading at the same time; which earned him his second thwack from her tail of the day. At this rate there would be a new record.

Eclipse slipped around his friend, wrapping one wing around him in an actual greeting, and started heading in the direction of the food stalls, still keeping a fair distance from Sunrise in case she kept trying for her revenge. As the other two prepared to follow, chatting with each other over what kind of food they wanted to get, he looked towards his blue-scaled friend, "Find anything fun to do at this festival, or have you been too busy gossiping with the other soldiers?" he asked with a good natured smile in Skua's direction.

Eclipse let himself smile a bit as he watched all of the different dragons milling about the Sky Kingdom. Festivals weren't something Queen Ember did frequently, but when she did decide to host one they always were as extravagant as she could possibly make them. Bright colors hung from almost every inch of the palace and surrounding mountains mixing with the colors of dragons from many of the tribes. Despite the tensions rising between several of them it seemed everyone could lay down the spears for long enough to enjoy a celebration. He stretched his wings, letting the light catch on the star like scales underneath before leaping from the balcony he had been watching from and gliding down into the throng of other dragons.

He nodded his head politely at those who called out to him as a prince, and sent a grin in the direction of his friends from the palace. Weaving his way through a group of SeaWings, who were devouring a bucket of fish, he caught up to his friends: Ash, a bulky, bright crimson scaled soldier and Sunrise: a slender, deep orange and yellow scaled scholar of the arts.

"Finally decided to join the party, huh?" Ash called out a bright grin on his scarred face, "thought we'd never see you." He stepped forward and wrapped his wings around his smaller friend.

Eclipse rolled his eyes slightly, but returned the hug, "Clearly you weren't looking all that hard," he gestured with one wing towards the balcony he had perched on, that happened to be in direct eye line to where they were now, "I was right there."

"You should know by now he never looks at anything that isn't right in front of him," Sunrise said with a teasing grin at the bigger dragon, "Makes it super easy to steal his dinner." Ash looked over at her, a scandalized expression on his face, his jaw working like he was trying to come up with something to say, but couldn't quite get anything out. Instead he just flung one wing out and clocked her on the head with a triumphant laugh. To which Sunrise responded with a sound thwack on his back with her tail causing Ash to let out a melodramatic wail of pain drawing the confused gaze of a few other dragons nearby.

Eclipse shook his head at his friends antics, a smile on his face. He let his gaze wander around the festival grounds; keeping one ear on the conversation going on between the other two dragons.

Name: Eclipse

Namesake:The cosmic event when the moon covers the sun

Age: Young Adult

Gender: Male

Species: SkyWing/NightWing hybrid

Personality: Eclipse has the fiery temper of the SkyWings, but does his best to present a more mellow front and the poise of a prince. He does have a bit of a short fuse that can burn down at the worst of times even if the anger doesn’t last long. He likes the mysterious air of the NightWings and tries to imitate that more than the aggression. Overall he’s a creative and quick-witted young dragon that enjoys the vigor of life and is a bit of a daredevil.

Short Bio: Eclipse’s parents were a bit of an odd pair, a NightWing and a SkyWing isn’t the most common of relationships. His father found his mother unconscious on the shoreline after a powerful storm knocked her from the sky. He had never really seen a NightWing before and found himself enamored by her jet black scales and the stars under her wings. He pulled her from the waves and helped her get back on her feet; discovering that she had Left her tribe due to some conflicting beliefs. He invited her back to the Sky Kingdom and after some convincing she agreed. Being the brother of Queen Ember, and a capable leader in their army, no one really questioned him beyond their initial surprise. After a short time they had Eclipse who spent his childhood learning battle moves from his father and the mysteries of the world from his mother.

Other: Eclipse is proud of his aerial prowess and combat abilities. He has a fair amount of book smarts as well, but when it comes things that require more precision he’s pretty much hopeless

Kaladan could feel a familiar thrill running through him, though he kept his expression fairly neutral, at the prospect of returning to the familiar star filled skies he traveled with his mother. They may potentially be experiencing unexplored space, which is one of the whole reasons he signed on with The Consortium. It had been a dream of his ever since he was a kid, but it never really seemed possible until now. It had been some time since he’d had the opportunity to travel with an actual crew that all wanted to be there, and didn’t plan on stabbing each other in the back at the first available opportunity. He did have a few concerns about the powder monkeys, he wasn’t sure about the competency of faeries when it came to loading and firing cannons, but the Captain seemed fine with it so who was he to complain. As long as they got the job done and listened well enough, but he’d have to keep a close eye on them for the time being, just to be sure. He hadn’t had much of a chance to talk with the rest of the crew as they were all in the process of getting the remaining supplies on the ship, but they appeared trustworthy enough.

The crew certainly appeared to be an interesting bunch, all different races from all different parts of the system. He could safely say he'd never met a Dryad or a Genasi before so they'd certainly be interesting to get to know. He kept to his thoughts, quietly humming a tune under his breath as he casually explored the ship that would serve as his home for however long the Captain decided to keep him signed on.

He walked across the gun deck doing the final checks of the supplies that they had, making sure they hadn’t forgotten anything important and that all the necessities were in their proper place. The last thing they needed was an explosion going off because the gunpowder didn’t get stored in the proper place. Everything appeared to be in order including the sugar loving faeries hanging around. Walking up onto the main deck he could see the captain pacing around observing the going’s about on deck. He found an out of the way place to lean against the side of the ship and watch the remaining supplies and crew members find their places on the ship.

From the first impressions he got of the crew here, they’d certainly have some interesting tales to tell. Seems like each and every person on the ship is trying to get away from something or make something of themselves, but he wasn’t about to judge. Avi did a quick mental inventory of all of his medical supplies and found them to be in good order. He grabbed a few leftover supplies and found a home for them in the various secured cabinets and bins around the med-bay. He’d already had to patch up a deckhand’s broken fingers after she lost her grip setting down a heavy crate, but it was nice to know that his skills wouldn’t go to waste on the ship.

He picked up his belt from one of the side tables and set about placing the proper supplies in their proper pouches. Despite his healing magic he did like to have whatever he might need for smaller injuries that were bound to happen in the hourly goings on of a ship of this size. Burns, small broken bones, or the occasional black eye from some mess hall brawl. He’d seen it all as well as a hell of a lot worse. His supplies packed, he secured the belt and made his way on deck, taking care on the steps. People always assumed it was easier to have four legs rather than two, more stability or some nonsense, but stairs continued to prove that theory wrong.

He walked over to the dockside railing, watching the hustle and bustle of the port. He rested his arms on the rail and allowed himself a moment to relax. He could see their Captain keeping an eye on the deck and briefly wondered exactly how much stress she was under. Trying to get the ship set for sailing, learning about a new crew, and a new ship all at the same time. He shook his head, he was good with being the medic and nothing else, but he made a mental note to check in with her and make sure everything was going okay. Returning his attention to the docks he waited for the ship to set sail.

Duskwing looked towards Moosepaw as he asked about the nine lives ceremony. She didn't exactly understand what it entailed for their leader, but she'd heard enough of the stories from Fernstar to at least give her apprentice an answer. "In the old clans the leaders would receive nine lives from Starclan," she looked back towards Fernstar, "if they didn't then they weren't truly meant to lead." She felt thankful that they hadn't somehow lost Fernstar before she could speak with Starclan. "It's true we've been a clan, but with Blackpelt's dreams it means we've been noticed and accepted by them." The only question was how far they would have to travel to speak with them, but if it was something the clan needed to know, Fernstar would tell them. For now they would just have to wait.
