Bio

Long time roleplayer since 2000. I could never get into DnD, so when I learned about "Post by Play" RPGs, I decided to give it a go to improve my writing skills. Started in Yahoo! Clubs which would eventually become Yahoo! Groups. After that site died down, I would eventually find Gateway Roleplay in 2011. Recently that site died so one RPG I was in migrated here in April 2025.

One thing all RPGs I've been involved in have Romance. That's mandatory for me. I prefer pre-planned romance, but I can do the natural too. Besides roleplaying, I also play video games, read romance novels and manga, draw, write, and watch YT videos a lot.

While talking with Fiona and Morne, Nelly kept observing the action around her, at least without making it obvious. She saw Blair approach Sylas's table and soon pulled the one new camper away from him. Not long he left the table. After that Heath returned to the table to eat the food there. She remembered he had been carrying food and a drink earlier. It didn't take him long to finish his meal before heading towards the bar. The bar as definitely a place to return to, especially since her drink was about done. Nelly was feeling fine for the most part. Just a little lose. She didn't plan on getting drunk, but she did have a high alcohol tolerance. It was something her mom had too. Plus it probably helped she was half god too.

The tables weren't too far from the bonfire and there were people over there, but none whom Nelly recognized. One was a woman with curly hair, and she did remember seeing her this morning, but the man she saw, she didn't recall seeing him this morning at all. Maybe like Morne there were still campers arriving. She couldn't help but wonder if any of the new campers were siblings to those already here or not connected at all.

The dance floor still had people on it. Nelly loved dancing. She had taken a few lessons over the years, but she'd be no pro. She wondered if Morne liked dancing. She never really asked Fiona if it was something she'd enjoy. Then again, there had never been an opportunity yet. Daniel was dancing with someone new. Clearly he was enjoying himself. Looking at Mason and Andy, she hoped things were going well between them. There were two other people on the dance floor, one another dark hair female with the red head male she saw earlier. He didn't stay on the dance floor for long and in fact head for the food booth before getting a table.

"Nelly seems to be very sweet and that’s something I love. However, I do love a little fire myself. Sometimes people are just too weak to play with hot coals."

That comment caused Nelly to laugh loudly.

"Hahaha, me sweet? That's nice of you to say, but my mom wouldn't even call me sweet haha. My father's daughter is what she has called me, or her little gremlin. You want to talk sweet, just wait until you meet a few of the campers here. I do like be nice, but sweet, yeah, no."

Morne suggesting she break the rules for Marti Gras earned another laugh, though not as loudly this time.

"Hey, I have bend the rules, but surprisingly I am no rulebreaker, despite being Hermes' daughter. That's my mom's influence though. She's very sharp and would always know when I did something wrong and she'd 'put the fear of God' in me. Besides, I don't have long to wait before I can drink legally in the US anyway."

Fiona stayed quiet for the most part, saying a few things here and there. This didn't surprise Nelly since she knew she was the talkative one between the two. Nelly could be quiet when she wanted to. She did wildlife photography at times and staying still and quiet were critical. But she did prefer landscape photography for a reason, but wildlife offered a nice challenge every now and then. She was just glad she could make a living off it. It fit with her nomadic lifestyle.

She almost burst out in laughter again when Morne called Andy, Sylas, and Trinity cunts. She was glad Sylas wasn't within earshot. This guy had no filter. Fiona suggested he not call them that to their faces and Nelly instantly agreed by nodding her head vigorously.

"Yeah don't call anyone that. We're all demi-gods here, so I'd be careful." she followed up.

Morne was all ready to go mingle though with others while causing mischief. Nelly didn't mind the mischief, but only if it didn't break the rules or hurt anyone. And she never did it to complete strangers. It looked like Fiona didn't want to cause mischief either. She then said she'd be back and Nelly saw her have a word with Duke before returning.

"So, where first now, Nell?”

"Good question. I've been trying to figure out where to head next. First thing first, Morne, is your stuff going to be okay here? Or do want to carry it around with you? Maybe after all this I can help you find a cabin."

Looking around again, she decided to ask Morne if he was okay with her suggestion.

"Have you gotten a drink yet Morne? The bar has a good variety of stuff from alcoholic to the safe stuff. I just finished my drink, so I want to get something else now. Or if there's something else you want to go to, there's people everywhere. Some are dancing, others are walking around, and plenty at the bar. Take your pick!" she encouraged.

Regardless, she just wanted to get moving again. When she get the chance, she'd ask Fiona what was up when she approached Duke. Last thing she wanted to do was to force Fi to do something she didn't want to do.

Heath didn't show it, but he was relieved that Blair didn't snap his head off. Looks like both of them inherited their mother's patience. Athena was definitely the most patient person he ever knew, despite not seeing her that much. In fact, the only time she got 'mad' at him, it was not with a loud voice, but with cold hard logic that stung worse than any of the hot lectures he saw his aunts give to his cousins. Blair had still been understandably miffed. What he wasn't expecting was her laughter. That caught him off guard for sure.

"Do I look like I need help?"

"No, you look satisfied," he commented instantly before she left.

Now he understood why she laughed. Heath did something he rarely did; he blushed from embarrassment. Gosh, darn it, Sylas tricked him! But how? His lie detection skills were razor sharp. This should have never happened. Was he relying on them too much? He wondered if Sylas did something to him. Thinking back, he recalled the words that got him to look for Blair to begin with. Sylas told him to find her. Something else popped into his mind too. It was his duel with Cherise. He remembered Cherise had the upper hand, but Sylas still defeated her. He knew Sylas was Eris's son. Maybe one of his abilities was to influence others in some ways. Heath didn't have abilities like that, so he knew he was vulnerable to those kinds of abilities. One thing did leave him wondering what Sylas's game was. Deciding to get some answers, he started heading back to the party to the table where his meal was. By the time he got back to his meal, neither Sylas nor Anissa were around. At least his beer and food were untouched. Deciding to not worry about it, he sat down and got to eating his meal, all the while looking around.

It didn't take him long to finish his meal. Happy to have some food in him, he threw away his trash, including his empty beer bottle. That would be it for him this night. Still he should stay hydrated. Heading towards the bar, he found the non-alcoholic beverages and found bottled water. He was about to check on Iliana when he saw Veronica, Anatoliy, and Sofia. Hoping he wasn't interrupting them, he approached the trio.

"Evening. Veronica, I see you've met Anatoliy and Sofia. I hope I am not intruding. How are you three doing?"

Talking about training seemed to be something that made River comfortable. Seemed like Poseidon trained him and Ocean too, similar to how he trained Nick and Liv. Her mother tried helped her with her abilities, but she never really trained her. Athena had been the same way with Heath from Iliana's understanding. And she only saw Hestia once when Ethan lived with her and Heath. But that was to inform them to come to this camp. She wondered how Poseidon viewed his offspring. She would never ask him that. She'd be asking for trouble there.

River mentioned Eirene. Iliana never met her, but she remembered hearing about her. She wished she could always be at peace like that. It was a nice thought, but that might be unrealistic for someone like her. When she mentioned Ocean, she watched as his gaze moved and she saw him looking at someone. Curious, she turned and saw Ocean interacting with someone near the bonfire. She felt River's tension ease. That was good, even though Iliana didn't know the exact reason why. One thing was also obvious, he loved his sister, which was nice. Far cry from how Liv and Nicholas saw each other, at least on Liv's end.

After River finished talking, Iliana found herself thinking of what else to talk about. Oh no, things were about to get awkward. Thinking quickly, Iliana figured it was time to do something else. She liked talking with River, but similar with Duke, she didn't want to force the conversation.

"Well, I think you're a nice person too, and I mean it. I hope you have a nice night River. I'll see you some other time." she said before smiling at him one more time before leaving.

She thought of speaking with Ocean, but it looked like she was deep in conversation with that one guy. Not wanting to be a bother, she walked around and saw a lot of people were on the dance floor and at the bar. Not one to dance and still not feeling brave enough to hang out at the bar, she decided to try the ice rink. Carefully putting on skates, she got on the ice slowly, trying to remember the few rules she remembered. It was a struggle, but she managed.

Heath noticed both reactions of Anissa and Sylas when he approached them and interacted. Sylas was a blank slate, not even Heath could tell what was on his mind. This was normal since Sylas was someone Heath could never get a hold of. It was that reason why he wanted to get to know him so he could be able to get a handle on him. Looks like he was going to have a hard time doing that. He wouldn't force it though. Besides, Sylas wasn't the only camper Heath didn't know much about. His sister was another one. While Sylas appeared to be more social, Sloane didn't hang out with others that much from his observations. So it was interesting to see her talking with Duke now. Heath was one to talk, he wasn't exactly social himself, especially since Ethan left.

Both Sylas and Anissa agreed to let him join them. However, just as Heath was beginning to sit down, Sylas's hand reached out and he started talking.

"Blair was looking for you earlier. She said it was an emergency and looked pretty frantic."

Heath would have spoken up, but Sylas kept going.

"She wouldn’t tell me anything, just said she needed you."

That didn't make any sense to Heath since he just saw Blair with that new guy, but unknown to him, Sylas's last words, which he didn't know were a command, made him change his mind about the situation. Sylas sounded pretty serious, so it did make him wonder if Blair needed something. However his gaze dropped to his food and beer. He really didn't want to carry them with him. The food would probably be cold or the beer warm by the time he got back. Oh well.

"All right, I'll see what she wants. Thanks for letting me know. Can either of you watch my food please? I'll be right back."

Nodding to Anissa, he left them. Now the big question was where did Blair go with the new guy? As he made his way to the place where he last saw her, he noticed something odd. Flowers? Looking he saw his sister still talking with one camper. He instantly knew that was his sister's doing since she did that a lot when they were kids. She hadn't done it in years though. He wondered what caused her to do it this time. But that would have to wait since he was on search for his other sister.

Getting closer to the bar, he didn't see Blair nor the guy she was with. Probably got smart to find a place that was private. Question was where. First thought that came to mind was Blair's cabin. There was always the possibility of them going to the new camper's cabin, if he had one by now. Heath knew where Blair's cabin was, but only out of principle since he just wanted to know where she was staying at. He never actually been there though. Dreading what was to come, he started making his way through the party grounds and started taking the path that would lead to his destination. On his way there though, he saw the stables. It is possible they were there. After all, with all of the animals in there, besides the music of the party, no one could hear their 'activities' within there. Plus the animal scents would mask theirs, hopefully. Heath had never done the deed himself, but he had family that owned a stable that held horses, and he learned about their mating practices. Decision made, Heath headed for the stables.

As he got closer, he made sure to soften his steps for the last thing he wanted was to interrupt them. He had a feeling Blair was already going to be annoyed at him, but Sylas had been insistent. Soon he could hear activity but couldn't distinguish what kind of activity it was. He saw that the stable door was open. Now that was out of the ordinary, for that door was normally closed. Being extra careful now, he made sure to stay out of the view of the door opening, opting to come from the side. Leaning on the wall, he carefully peaked in, and saw the stable was lit. So much so he could see enough to the other side of the stable and saw another door was opened at least. He couldn't tell what was happening past that, but he saw movement of some kind. Then he heard noise that didn't belong to the animals inside. Slowly moving back, he took a deep breath. Yep, that was Blair and the guy. He most certainly wasn't going to go in now. But he wasn't going to leave either since he still felt the need to make sure Blair was okay. What in the devil was wrong with him? Blair was obviously too concerned with 'other things' to want to see him. But Sylas said he should got find her. He kept internally debating the issue for so long, he didn't realize how much time had passed when Blair and the guy finally came out of Stable. By their appearances, anyone could tell they had been in the stables, and Heath could smell them too. Seeing both of their looks when they see him, Heath was quick to look as apologetic as possible.

"I know there's no excuse for me being here Blair, but Sylas insisted I find you, claiming you were looking for me frantically. Still, I do apologize to you both. Just tell me what you want Blair and I'll leave you two to your business."

He prepared himself for any kind of reaction, for he expected the worse.

Iliana wasn't surprised by River's shock at her little flower field she created. She really didn't mean to. He seemed to recover quickly, which was a relief to her. She remembered creating little fields of flowers as a kid. Her mom showed her how to do it but did tell her at one point to not overdo it since it was important to let the natural cycle happen on its own as much as possible. It's why she didn't use her agrokinesis power as much because she wanted to honor that cycle. Still there were plenty of times she could control her powers, like now. At least she didn't use her induce hunger ability, that was the worst one. Why she had such an ability, she'll never know.

Listening to River, she was glad he and his sister found cabins. She wondered who his sister was. She would ask him who she was so she could meet her. Hearing he was used to training and that it was more natural to him, Iliana smiled gently. It looked like he wasn't used to parties, something Iliana could understand.

"I've never been a party person too. Still I am glad I came tonight. It's been fun meeting new people. There are a lot more campers I don't recognize now. I want to meet all of them, but probably not tonight. One step at a time. I hope you enjoy the training here. Our last leader, he had us duel each other using our abilities. The duels were all random. I lost my duel since my opponent exploited one of my weaknesses, so I hope to learn from that so I can get better."

And she would, hopefully. She didn't want to forget what Liv's victory over her taught her, despite her unpleasant attitude. They all still fought for their lives that night. If she was honest, Iliana wished she could turn back time to be able to save Liv. So even though they weren't friends and Liv didn't really care for her, Iliana wanted to remember her this way.

Hearing River had not ate yet caused Iliana to look concerned.

"Aw, I just ate, but I can show you were the food is if you're hungry. There are not too many people over there either."

When he asked about her mother, Iliana would have answered him, but then he mentioned Poseidon and how much of a hard ass he was. Wait, he's Poseidon's son? Didn't she meet one of his children earlier in the day. Wait, she did. Ocean. And that's when her mind clicked. River said he had a sister. Ocean didn't mention she had a brother though, but Iliana never asked either. Before asking for clarification, Iliana decided to answer his question.

"My mom is very nice, but you never want to get her angry, that's for sure."

The first and only time she saw her mom's 'dark side' was when she saved her. Her mind was broken by then, but she'll never forget the image of her mother coming in like a storm, rage in her eyes, giving a death glare at the man who hurt her. She had been terrified. Everything went black after that and the next thing she knew, she was seeing her mother and Apollo.

"So you're Poseidon's son? Yeah, I've met your dad since he came to the camp once. He's very intimidating. Also, are you Ocean's brother? You said you had a sister and she's Poseidon's daughter. I met her this morning. She's very nice."

She didn't know much River knew what happened recently, so much like with Ocean, she didn't bring up Nicholas or Liv.

Nelly caught Morne's change of tone at the word favoritism. She wanted him to elaborate on that, but decide not to at the moment. Plus both he and Fiona mentioned school, or in Fiona's case, the lack thereof. Nelly herself didn't have a 'traditional' education either and was fine with that. She wasn't normal, so why would she have a normal means of getting educated.

"I never went to school either. My mom and I traveled so much, so I just had tutors growing up. I did manage to get a GED though. Once I was 18, I started living on my own. My mom helped me find a place not far from hers though, in Baton Rouge. Surprisingly, I haven't been to Marti Gras yet since I am still not 'legal' yet in the US. I have 'bend the rules' in the past, but I dare not risk getting busted for underage drinking. Thank goodness I don't have that problem here hehe."

Hearing about Amorey and how she abandoned him made Nelly think for a moment. Her mother always told her there was two sides to every story and it was vital when working in journalism to get those sides. She honestly wondered if his sister really deserted him. She could always find that out.

"Hey at least you made it here safe and sound. None us old campers were expecting new ones until this morning. The gods left a note mentioning that. I was supposed to be at this camp last year, but I kept procrastinating because I don't like being stuck in a location very long. But my dad finally put his foot down and I complied. And thankfully, there's never been a dull moment, not for me at least. I can't speak for every camper here."

Morne than asked about the campers here and Fiona was quick to answer. She took note of Morne calling her 'sweetie' and giggled at that. She was nice, but she wouldn't call herself sweet. That description was better used on Iliana or Veronica. She nodded when Fiona mentioned she knew more people than she. Would never force Fiona to be as social as her. But Nelly wasn't exactly popular either.

"Yeah, I've tried interacting with all of the old campers, but not all like me. I've gotten on a few of their bad sides, purely unintentionally though. If you ever meet Trinity, Andromeda aka Andy, or Sylas, best to stay on their good sides. Sylas is the guy guy sitting at a table with black shirt on. Andy is wearing a black lace outfit and is on the dance floor with Mason, they're really close. Oh, he's another one you don't want to mess with. Let me see where Trinity is." she said before standing up.

She didn't know if Mason and Andy were 'officially' dating yet, so that's why she only mentioned they were close. Looking, she finally caught Trinity at the bar.

"Aw, Trinity is at the bar. She's blonde wearing a black top with roses on. She's also taken by Wesley. I don't see him anywhere sadly."

Now that was odd, where was Wesley? She know she saw him earlier. Not worrying about it, she sat back down.

"As for my other friends, I think their fine, but Fiona is my bestie here. She can keep up with me for one thing. I can be all over place, energy wise. Still, the others are nice. Iliana and Heath are adoptive siblings. I don't know where Heath is, but he was interacting with Sylas and a new camper not too long ago. He's blonde with a tan top on. Iliana is also blonde talking with one guy over there." she said, pointing to Iliana and River.

It was then she saw the flowers beneath them. Where did those come from? Suddenly she remembered Iliana was Demeter's daughter. Perhaps she lost control of her abilities again. There was always a cause for it.

"Hey Morne, if you want, I can try introducing you to people. Sadly I won't know all since a lot of the campers here are new ones. More than double than what it used to be it seems, right Fiona?"

Returning to the party, Heath came near the dance floor to see people using it. He saw Andy dancing with a new guy just in time to see Mason get involved and heard the new guy get a bit angry. He couldn't fault either man, but Mason didn't have to get physical either. He made a mental note to check on the guy later. Right now he was hungry. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Chariselle head straight for the bar. Seeing his beer was almost gone, he took one last drink of it and decided to have one more beer and that be it. He hoped Iliana was doing okay and that's when he saw her approaching another new camper, one who he saw earlier. As he headed for the bar, he instantly stopped and it took all of his will power to keep his mouth shut. He just saw his other sister, Blair. What in the gods name was she wearing?! Chariselle's outfit was seductive, but this was pushing it! Lochlan was there with her and didn't seem too bothered since they were drinking shots. Finally his brain started working again. If Blair wanted to make the fairer sex melt (or any lesbians), she totally was dressed for it. This point was proven when she headed straight towards another camper, who looked new too. He looked like he was already a goner before she even got to him. Not wanting to see the outcome of THAT, Heath quickly headed for the bar. Seeing Lochlan interacting with Evelyn, he didn't bother them as he grabbed himself another Scottish beer.

After that, he headed for the food bar. Grabbing a plate, he filled up and got a couple of his shortbread cookies before looking for a place to sit. He saw Nelly and Fiona with a brand new arrival from the looks of it since he had gear with them. Sloane was with Duke. But then his eyes landed on Anissa and Sylas. Deciding to update Anissa, he headed for their table.

"Pardon the interruption. Anissa, I just want to let you know that Anatoliy got his guitar back. So you don't have to worry about that," Heath said before turning to Sylas.

"Evening Sylas, nice to see you're doing well now. If it's okay if I sit with the two of you? Have both of you ate anything yet?"

Heath still didn't have handle on Sylas, but he figured now was a better time than ever to see if he could get to know the guy. In the past he only watched him and some of the events that included him, from his trial to his duel. He definitely had heard how bad Sylas got it.

Iliana saw the guy try to hide his emotions, but she still felt them. She wondered what caused him to be on edge. While she knew it was none of her business, she still wished she could pinpoint his emotions, but there was only so much she could do since she didn't know the guy. She did know the closer she got to someone, the easier it was to pick up on certain emotions. Heath was a perfect example of that, despite how quiet he could be at times. However there were those with natural barriers. The few times she met Athena, yeah, no chance of her reading her.

The guy in front of her finally introduced himself as River and held out his hand. Trying to keep eye contact, Iliana shook his hand. Interesting name for sure. It reminded her of Ocean. Still, just because 2 demigods had similar names didn't mean they were related. After releasing his hand, Iliana tried to think of what to say next.

"Have you gotten settled at camp yet. I've been here for several months now, so I know a few things, but not as much as others. We just rebuild the camp after an incident. Our parents left us a note this morning to expect new campers and a new leader. I think training is going to pick back up again too. Don't know when, but you best be ready for that. Have you gotten anything to eat yet?"

It was at that moment she felt something new, and it was also intense, but she could describe the feeling. Turning her head, she saw something she never saw before and her face instantly turned red. It was Blair and some guy in a . . . suggestive position. Now she knew what she was feeling, lust, from both of them. Her emotions flared up in a new way as flowers started popping up through the ground and snow and it spread out around her and River. Her pendant lit up and it subdue her powers again. Breathing deeply, Iliana tore her eyes away from Blair and the guy and looked back at River. Her face was still as red as an apple.

"Sorry . . I am empathic and am trying to learn how to control my powers better. My mother is Demeter. I am just glad I didn't cause it to storm or get colder. I hope to get help from the new leader. Whoever it is, I hope he or she is good at training."

She really wanted to improve too. Her mother told her that once she gained full control of her abilities, she wouldn't need the pendant anymore.

Nelly took a quick glance at Fiona and could see she had put a wall up. It was one of things she picked up on as she got to know her better. Nelly hoped her friend would eventually relax, but she wasn't going to force it. If she got more uncomfortable though, Nelly would do her best to change the situation. Not everyone was as used to adapting to new people like her.

Refocusing on Morne, she smiled as he commented on their names. She liked her full name, but it just never really suited her, it sounded elegant, and she was definitely not that. Still it was the name her mother gave her, so she still liked it to some extent.

"I've been here for several months. So if you do have any questions about camp, I'll do my best to answer them."

She should probably help him find a cabin at least. But seeing how he just got here, he might be a bit tired. Morne then revealed his divine parent, which caused Nelly's eyes to open wide. This was definitely the first time one of his kids showed up to her knowledge, but then again, she didn't know if there had been other campers outside of Andy, Mason, Wes, and a few others from last year.

"Oh, Dionysus huh? How cool! I guess you really know your alcohol huh? My dad is Hermes. The messenger of the gods, known for being fast. I once did race him, didn't have a chance hehe, but I am still pretty fast. Fiona here can vouch for that. And yeah, you can join us."

She gave her friend a smile, trying to get her involved in the conversation. She did recall how she saved Fiona thanks to her speed, despite still getting injured in the process. She wouldn't regret it though. Nelly wouldn't have been able to live with herself if she had abandoned Fiona to that snake. She might have a nice scar on her shoulder blade area, but she gained a friend in the process.

She caught Morne looking in another direction and looked that way too. She saw two more campers. One she recognized that morning who had interacted with Duke. He was helping another camper with her luggage. Another new arrival huh? Looking at Morne, she wondered if he knew the female.

"Hey, Earth to Morne. You still there? Do you know those campers?" she asked while waving a hand in front of his face.

Iliana listened carefully as Duke responded to her commentary on him and Fiona. Duke may be a quiet guy, but he still had emotions and when he said he didn't have a lot of friends, she felt something within him. Was he missing someone? Iliana wondered who it was at first, so her mind wondered the last time she truly interacted with Duke. Then she remembered, he had gone to Olympus with the Valises, only to return. Did he miss Olympus? Iliana certainly did. She loved being up there. If she had the choice, she pick that over Earth easily. She felt she would never fit in with Humans ever again because she couldn't be her true self. Well, she was still trying to find that, but she felt more comfortable being around the gods and her fellow demigods more than with regular mortals. Only one she ever truly loved and trusted had been her biological father. Despite losing him at such a young age, she remembered him vividly. His kind smile, loving nature, and his generosity. She was glad she got her eyes from him, so one part of him still lived with her.

Looking back at Duke, Iliana hoped they could be friends. She didn't like the idea of him being lonely. He went on to talk about the party and she giggled at the part of preventing certain bad things from happening. He said it so casually. She hoped nothing bad would happen at this party like the previous one. She remembered what happened. It was awful. So far everything seemed fine. She was aware of more people showing up, but she'd yet to feel anything bad.

Duke surprised her with his next words. He wanted her to leave? This made Iliana torn. Maybe he was bored with her company? It bothered her that he might think that way. Looking around she saw Nelly, Fiona, and some new guy at a nearby table. She didn't want Duke to be alone. She knew he was friends with Fiona, and Nelly always loved talking. Maybe she could help Duke out there. The other guy appeared to be the social sort too.

"Well, I'd hate to leave you alone. Fiona and Nelly are nearby so you can always talk with them. There's a new camper with them too. Thanks for talking with me, Duke. Have a nice night." she said before taking her empty plate and left.

She found a trash bin to throw away her plate and utensils. She was still thirsty. Seeing all of the people at the bar made her uneasy, but she managed to find where the non-alcoholic drinks were. Grabbing a bottle of water, she couldn't help but look at the people who were there. Blair and Lochlan were obvious stand outs, especially Blair, she was barely wearing anything, but she look comfortable, so who was Iliana to judge. She saw plenty of new faces, ones that she didn't even see this morning. She would have talked to them or Evelyn, but she didn't want to be around that many people when alcohol was involved. Emotions could run high very easily. Still she couldn't help but let her eyes linger on one guy who was tall with light brown hair, although it was hard to tell with the lighting. Iliana felt something, like he had this familiar aura to him. He was near two other women, another brunette and a blonde. Shaking her head, Iliana had no idea why she was looking in his direction, besides it was rude to stare. Walking away from the bar, she soon saw someone with black hair walking alone. He was pretty tall too, but Heath was also tall, so Iliana was used to tall guys. And as she got closer, he appeared to look troubled. Plus she picked up on his emotions, but couldn't get a good read on them. Wanting to see if she could help, she approaches him carefully, making sure she's in his line of sight.

"Um, hello, are you okay? Do you need help with anything? My name is Iliana." she said as she introduced herself.

Heath was glad when Chariselle accepted his apology, but that still didn't mean Heath was going to trust her. Still he would remain a gentleman.

"Nice to meet you too Char,"

Anatoliy started speaking again about his playing experience and Heath was content to observe again, but he soon said something that really got Heath's attention.

"Niet, I was actually trying to get out of this place," Anatoly started to say but quickly claimed up and tried changing what he said, but Heath knew he was being truthful the first time.

The other thing he said, it didn't sound like the full truth. From the looks of it, Anatoliy was the type of guy who wore his heart on his sleeve. He was an emotional person and seemed to struggle with conversing with people. Poor guy. Heath never struggled conversing with others on a basic level. And he appeared to be drawn to Chariselle too. Yep, definitely Aphrodite's daughter.

Anatoliy commented on him sniffing and it just really confused Heath, but then a thought came to his mind. Two actually. First thought was maybe Anatoliy was also attracted to men. Since he seemed to be drawn to Chariselle, he was probably attracted to females too. It never occurred to Heath that he could attract that kind of attention. He never dated in school since he didn't know if being a demigod meant he would live longer than the average human. He never bothered asking his mom either since he didn't think it was important. His second that was about Anatoliy's mannerisms. Him struggling to talk to people, plus his angry words to Anissa earlier about preferring animals to humans, and now the sniffing. Was Anatoliy one of Artemis's children? Thinking that reminded him of Rae and Theo. Theo had vanished before the Pandora's Box incident and Rae . . . didn't make it. It was a sad thing, especially with Rae who was a very outgoing person. That was one death Heath wished he could have prevented because her death affected several campers, especially Cherise, who soon left after her friend's death. He didn't blame her, he might have done the same thing if Ethan or Iliana had died.

Refocusing on the two new campers, Heath saw Anatoliy bring out the animal he had with him. Looking it over, Heath knew it was a rodent, but what type was the question. He was no animal expert. Iliana might know since she researched how to keep wildlife out of gardens. Chariselle was quick to gush over the animal. Anatoliy having an animal only added to the suspicion that he was Artemis's son. Still it wasn't confirmed yet. Heath spoke after she finished.

"Well, it's nice to meet your friend Ana."

"Well, if you are hungry, there is food at the party. We could all go together and enjoy it, making things a little easier for you. But if you want to head elsewhere, I get it. Sometimes, even I get tired of social situations. What about you, Heath? You coming?"

Heath looked at Chariselle. He wasn't going to force Anatoliy to stay, but he thought the man should give the camp a chance at least. And he did want to get back to the party, where he hoped he could quietly get away from Chariselle.

"Sure, I still have yet to get something to eat myself. Ana, you are free to join us. I've been here for several months. Camp isn't perfect, but nothing ever is. If you don't want to stay, it's fine. This camp was created for our security and there are good people here. My adoptive sister Iliana is one of them. She loves nature and, in the past, preferred it to people, but being here has helped her be more social, plus she smiles more. Regardless of what you decide to do, I wish you the best. Char, enjoy yourself." Heath said before he started heading back to the party.

Nelly might be dense at times, she saw her talking about her mom and travels did affect Fiona. Despite them being friends, Nelly never really asked her about her past. She was curious sure, but her mom taught her to not sticking her nose into people's personal matters too much. It did stink because Nelly believed knowledge was important, but she always did her best to obey her mom since she really let her do a lot of things and made few demands of her. So it was why she didn't ask Fiona is anything was up. Her eyes lit up when she said she would get her an Irish beer.

Before Fiona could respond to her comment of what to do after they ate, a new camper suddenly appeared.

"If there is something or someone you want to do next, you can do me." he said before taking a drink of his own beer.

Do him? It sounded weird and absurd for some reason and Nelly for once looked confused. Nelly was glad she wasn't eating or drinking when the dude show up or she might have reacted in a similar way as Fiona. She seemed to get what the guy was on about though after she recovered.

"Want to clue me in here. I need a translator. Regardless, mister, we were just talking about what we're going to do after we fueled up here. And you look liked you just walked right into camp. I am Penelope, but just call me Nelly. This is Fiona. What's your name?" she said, offering the newcomer a smile.

She never got tired of meeting new people.

Heath offered a smile to Anatoliy when took his guitar back. He was glad he could be of assistance. He was very much aware he offended the blonde female too. Heath would be the first to admit he was awful at taking jokes, but one of his biggest pet peeves was lying and her magnetism put him on edge. He would attempt to be cordial, but a part of him would be cautious until she gave him a reason not to be.

However all thoughts went out of his head when Anatoliy leaned in and . . . . was he sniffing him? It was something Heath was not expecting and he didn't know what to do or say. He just stood there calmly until the man stood straight again. Looking at Heath, one could tell he was confused.

"Uh, is everything okay? I did take a shower prior to the party." he found himself asking, not really thinking about what he just said.

The pair then introduce themselves fully. Chariselle gave full attention to Anatoliy and seemed genuinely interested in him. She was honest about wanting him to come back to the party. Once she finished speaking, Heath spoke up.

"Chariselle, before you return to the party, I would like to apologize for my earlier behavior. I tend to get easily offended when someone accuses me of wrongdoing. But since we're strangers you wouldn't know what kind of person I am. Plus I am awful when it comes to jokes."

She could take it or ignore it. At least he made an attempt to make amends. Looking back at Anatoliy, he decided to see if the guy was even willing to come back to the party, but he saw movement under his clothing again.

"Is there something you have on you, Anatoliy? I saw something move." he asked, genuinely curious.

Duke caught Iliana off guard. He wanted to know if there was anyone she wanted to get to know better? She was drawing a blank, but looking at Duke's kind face made her blush a little. She was embarrassed. The best she could do was be honest for now.

"I . . don't know. I do have a few friends like Nelly and Veronica. Do you have any friends, Duke? You and Fiona seem to get along well."

The two definitely interacted like friends. Iliana briefly wondered how close they were. The thought bothered her a bit for some reason. Duke was by all appearances a nice guy, why shouldn't he be close with anyone? Deciding to not dwell on it, she focused on Duke when he spoke up again, this time about learning who is worth giving a benefit of a doubt through trial and effort. The thought of the process did unnerve her, but she would do her best, so she nodded at his words.

"Thank you, I'll take your advice to heart."

She continued to listen to Duke when he brought up Leo. Another Ares kid. Iliana liked and respected Trinity. Liam, Iliana didn't know how she felt about him because he was a mixed bag. He did try to hurt Heath, but he wasn't in control of himself either. A feeling Iliana was very much familiar with. But he also left without word either. So yes, the best Iliana could do was she was ambivalent when it came to her feelings about Liam. Hopefully this Leo would be better.

"Well I look forward to meeting him then. I hope he likes the camp."

She was almost done with her meal when Duke gestured towards the party activities and asked she did anything like this.

"Heath's family likes to have parties and I've gone to those, but they're never that big. I've learned to dance, but I am average at best. I am sure you've noticed this, but I am introverted, but I am willing to try something new at least once, as long as it's not dangerous. Do you like parties Duke? Also, I appreciate you willing to talk to me too. You're very easy to be around."

That last part, Iliana did her best to keep eye contact, but she couldn't help but blush a little. It was a good thing it was starting to get dark.

Nelly didn't mention that since she was still 'underage' in America, she got her alcohol from others. Like for Texas, she had gone on a trip with her mother and basically got to sip when her mom got when she was 18. Elsewhere, outside of the USA, she had no issues getting drinks for herself. Luckily she would be turning 21 next June, so if she was back in the USA by then, she would get her own alcohol then. For now she'd enjoy herself here in Greece.

When Fiona offered her a tumbler of Scottish Whiskey, Nelly took it with a smile.

"I love me a good bourbon. But I've mostly had it in desserts. My favorite desserts tend to have alcohol in them too for some reason. I once went to Jamaica and had Rum cake. Best cake I ever had. Didn't even need icing. But yeah I've had whiskey before, just never your homeland's whiskey. I hope it's just as strong as a Guinness. When I turned 18, when it came to alcoholic drink wish list, that was at the top hehe. So, my mom took me to Ireland for my 18th birthday. One of my favorite trips I took with her."

Thinking of her mom made Nelly miss her again. She was sure her mom was fine, but she did wonder how she was doing. In the meantime, she headed for the food along with Fiona to get a good amount of food. She didn't want to overdo it, but she stack some things. She could always come back for more. Thank the gods she had a high metabolism.

And just like Fiona, Nelly heard Lochlan call out for shots. Now that was something that peaked her interest. Still she stuck with Fiona as they made it to a table. She saw others eating like Sylas was talking with a new camper while Iliana and Duke were talking together. Sitting down, Fiona asked what she wanted to do later.

"Well first, I am going to savor this whiskey." she said before taking a sip.

Oh, did it go down nicely.

"Mmmm, you're right, it is good! As for what I plan on doing next, I mostly want to mingle with others whether back at the bar with your brother, or on the dance floor. Or anywhere else! Skies the limit after all. Maybe we can find out who the new leader is?"
