@ProProyeah but you also have to factor in the entertainment aspect of a television, movie, or comic book. You also have to take into consideration the time constraints.

That wasn't the question. The question was "when have you ever seen a court of law depicted realistically in a superhero genre work." Of course it's altered for entertainment value and time constraint, but that wasn't the point that I brought up. You can't have your cake and eat it too. :P And it's for those exact same reasons that applying a more realistic take on court proceedings (particularly in the manner of Paxton Powers) would be unfeasible in a RP as well. I mean, unless we want to either time skip several months at a time, or it's left hanging in the background for multiple story arcs until we finally come back to it.
@ProProa few times. Primarily when involving players like lex Luther... or other rich villains who had the money to make that happen.

Otherwise, in instances like with daredevil. She-hulk, both lawyers.

Not disagreeing with you. Just saying, it's been done.

No, it really hasn't. It's been made to look more realistic at key points, but it has never actually gone all the way. Anybody trained in actual law can easily point out how it goes off the rails even when they opt for a more realistic court depiction. When they want to have Luthor's influence actually mean something, it's more like weeks or a few months, when in reality the increased clout and red tape would make such things last for a minimum of 2-4 years. The closest we've ever gotten was probably in the Netflix Daredevil with Matt and Foggy handling the case of Frank Castle, and even that would have gone considerably differently had they not directed the story to have Castle freak out in the courtroom (and actually thinking back on it likely would have had the result of turning about into a credible insanity plea).
It mentions that Batman took down both Inque and Paxton Powers who is now in prison and given how long court proceedings can be drawn out (especially with a rich defendant) are we looking at a couple of months or like a year?

And when have you ever seen court proceedings depicted realistically in a superhero genre work?

It's not really important, I just won bet with a friend.

... well then your friend has literally never read any of my previous posts or people's replies to me and you have profited from this. Congratulations.

... now where's my cut? ;)
@ProPro Bart Allen is the son of a Thawne and an Allen? But isn't the Thawne's ancestor, Cobalt Blue, Barry Allen's twin brother? Wouldn't that make Bart's parents, what, second cousins?

On a completely unrelated note are you a guy?

As first conceived by the writers, Bart was the son of Don Allen and Meloni Thawne. His family tree is very complicated. And yes I'm male, but a better question is why is my gender relevant?

Ok @Member 00492, Accel is basically done, though the formatting on the CS is far from pretty and looking good. I'll rectify that. Everything here was done over the phone while multitasking family duties, so this was pretty time consuming... appropriate for the character, eh? Haha.

I've had players apply with similar characters before. It happens. There was a female Flash in Justice League Beyond 2.0 but for now we'll just say the JL in the future mirrors the team from the Batman Beyond 2 part episode 'the Call'. I just want a little variety and not the same old same old.

Don't worry, this is a very different take on a speedster, hopefully with a real compelling personality to mesh with her abilities.
I'm thinking a female Speed Force user.

If you still need somebody.

You mean like what I already said I was making? >.>

Edit: Ah crud, I didn't mean to post that VERY WIP with that. Dang code changes that save in progress posts even if you open a new tab. >.>
@Member 00492 I'm glad I saw this. I usually avoid interest checks above a certain number of posts, but when I saw it had 50 within a day, that coupled with the title got me intrigued, and I do really like the concept. If you'll permit me some time I would like to make a female character with a lesser connection to the Speed Force.
So. Um. Anything going to happen here? At all?
