Joel Grau

Location: Tapri
Interacting With: Claire, @Lady Amalthea Alcander @POOHEAD189
Time/Date: Morning/August 2nd, 2016

Joel returned Claire's glare in his direction with an all-too-smug grin. Joel was particularly amused as he watched Claire deal with the sudden and unexpected heat to her food. The two had been apart for so long, he figured it was only really fitting that they get right back into messing with each other and having fun. He wasn't particularly surprised with the look he got, he knew that she'd be out for revenge as soon as he started it, but he'd have been disappointed if she wasn't.

Turning back to his food as she took the milk, he however had not expected her revenge to come so suddenly. And was too slow to react as he sat back up to feel the milk start to pour down onto his head. Sitting where he was, he let a smirk split his lips, letting the milk pour onto him and soak through his shirt as he sat there for a few moments before licking his lips. "Well, that was refreshing." He chuckled, reaching out to take up his glass of water, he smirked over at Claire as he poured some of it onto himself as well, only making himself a little more wet, but getting rid of some of the milk as well.

Setting down his own glass, he reached out and took the bottle of water on the table. "I'll go clean up and get a refill." He commented innocently, moving to stand as he struggled to hide the smirk barely splitting his lips. Moving to go past Claire, the second he got behind her he reached back, tugging at the back of her shirt collar and pouring the contents of the bottle down her back, not caring for the looks they were getting or the staff as he laughed, getting his revenge.

Tom Fisher

Location: Tristan's Quarters

As much as he hated to admit it, Tom knew Tristan. He had worked with the man long enough to know that he never shut up, especially when his own authority was being questioned as it was in that instance. it didn't take a T1 to figure that out, and as Tom glanced back at Tristan in their short trip up to his quarters, and as quiet as the man remained as Tom sealed up his quarter, he couldn't help but feel like there was something majorly wrong with what was going on.

A small part of Tom told him just to turn away and go back to work, Tristan was probably just playing mind games with Tom, trying to get into his head and distract him, make him rethink his strategy and possibly just worry that something was up. Another, much larger part of Tom didn't give Tristan that much credit, the man was clearly up to something and trying in a spectacularly awful fashion to hide it. And as he walked back toward the elevator, he stopped for a moment and looked back toward the door. The other guards and even Jackson didn't seem to think much was wrong, or at the least they weren't vocalising it, Jackson was always particularly the quiet type.

The feeling just kept nagging at Tom, until the man let out a long sigh. "Ah, fuck it." He turned back toward the door, at the very least if nothing was going on, he wanted a man inside, he wanted to know what was going on inside. Reaching up, he accessed the console, overriding his own override, he unlocked it and opened it, taking a few steps inside with his officers in tow, gaze peering about, half expecting his feeling to have been nothing.
@Lady Amalthea

I've pretty much filled out my Clue Sheet, so i'll add the next one soon ^^
Ricas

Location: Justice Memorial

Lucas was snapped rather suddenly back awake the second he heard Dr. Chang's voice. His gaze locked onto her for a few moments as he listened to her. Lucas had been making such an effort to tune himself out of what had been happening, out of the fear of the worst, that it really did take him a moment or two to fully grasp what she was telling him. He probably looked like an idiot, staring at her blankly for a few moments as she smiled down at him, letting him know that his girlfriend had survived when all the odds were against her. Even when she pushed open the door and he could see Risa being wheeled off, he sat there, still taking it in.

Even when he did fully understand the situation, he didn't say anything, he didn't even think to. In a second he was on his feet, sprinting off down the hall after Risa. Dr. Chang kept the door open as he bolted through it before making her way down the hall to get some much needed coffee. He was overjoyed, in fact, overjoyed was an understatement, Lucas couldn't begin to describe how he felt in that moment, he'd essentially conceded that the worst would happen, that he would lose the woman he loved, but it was not to be, and Lucas could not have been happier. Watching as they wheeled her into a room, he slowed down as he got to the door and moved inside, finally letting himself calm down a bit as he saw her laying there.

Risa, despite everything, looked good. They had her partially sitting up with the bed elevated and one could think that she had been doing nothing more than enjoying a peaceful sleep with pleasant dreams. In a way she had been. The orderly and nurse moved out of the room once she was situated and closed the door behind them. They had done their job and Dr. Chang would be in later to check up on Miss Couri's recovery. Moving over, Lucas smiled widely as he pulled up a chair to sit right beside her, reaching up and gently taking her hand. He made sure to cover the ring, he figured she'd feel it but he wanted to actually say something before she saw it, not that he figured it would affect the outcome, but he felt it was just right and, as Amy had said, less likely to make her die of shock as a result.

Time passed as the monitors beeped with each beating of Risa's heart while she lay there, as if to be a constant reminder that she was indeed alive. Eventually a soft sigh came from her lips as she began to stir, her head falling to the side much in the same way it always did when she woke up. Gradually her eyes opened, looking around the room slowly until they fell onto Lucas and a gentle dreamy smile came to her lips. She was still dealing with the effects of the anesthesia, as well as the pain medications that were pumping through her veins. Her fingers curled around his palm as he held her hand but she was still too far dazed to even realize there was a ring on her finger right then. "Hey, I didn't know hospitals employed such dashing doctors."

Lucas smirked as he heard the words, and rather suddenly something happened which was so uncommon, even Risa had only seen it from time to time. He started to cry. They weren't tears of sadness, but tears of joy, Lucas essentially laughing as he reached up with his free hand to wipe the tears away. Just hearing that words, hearing her joke around was enough to let him know for sure that she was going to be okay. It washed away in an instant all the fear which had built up inside of him as he sighed, watching her closely with a grin. "I'll kick your ass if you tell anyone about this." He smirked, wiping away the last of his tears as he began to calm down and gather himself, clearing his throat.

What the shit... Risa thought to herself as she witnessed Lucas break down the way he did. He wasn't a crier, neither was she. They both prided themselves in their ability to hold back the tears. They joked about it. Sure they both had cried in front of the other from time to time but it was a damn rare event. Had she really been that injured? That it would bring him to tears to see her speaking? She felt like apologizing for scaring him that much but then his mouth over-road the moment and she smirked. "Yeah, well you'd better make sure I'm laid up like this, cause it'd be the only time you'd have a chance at winning," she stated smugly as she stuck her tongue out at him.

Reaching up, he set both of his hands on top of her own, eyes locking on hers. He knew she was dazed, tired, but he didn't want to wait at all, he'd waited long enough and he had almost lost her, he'd be damned if that happened again. "Risa..." The tone in his voice was different to how it usually was, it was serious, scared almost.

Risa perked a brow at the sudden change in his voice, this was even more rare. The man was rarely serious and never scared; a look of worry washed over her features. "Lucas... what's wrong?" she asked a bit nervously as she tried to sit up a little more.

"...I've been putting this off a long time, much longer than I should have. I kept thinking 'when's going to be the best time' or, how you'd react or a hundred other things which I used as excuses. I waited so long that I almost lost you, and that would have destroyed me." He watched her closely, pausing for a moment. Swallowing hard, Risa bit her bottom lip nervously, her eyes filling more and more with worry as each word left his mouth.

"I'm not going to wait any longer, I need to ask - will you marry me?" He gave her a classic, goofy smile as he pulled his hand away revealing the ring on her finger.

Risa froze, her eyes washing away of fret and going into complete, utter shock as the question came out. "Wh...what?" she stuttered out, wondering just how drugged she was right then. Then her eyes spotted the ring as he moved his hand. She gasped out loud, then squealed, then screamed. "Oh my God!" Lunging forward despite the surgery, the iv's, everything; wrapping her arms around him. She was shaking from sheer adrenaline that suddenly was coursing through her veins. "Yes! I'm not wearing a dress, but yes!"

Lucas couldn't help but laugh as she threw herself toward him and wrapped her arms around him. Part of him wanted to scold her for doing so immediately after her life-threatening surgery, but he was just as overjoyed with the situation as she was. After long enough waiting, the two were engaged, he couldn't have cared less about anything else in that instance. "Really? 'i'm not wearing a dress' is how you answer that?" He laughed, he shouldn't have expected anything less, and in fact, he'd have probably been disappointed if he hadn't gotten a remark like that. Slowly, he peeled himself away from the embrace, planting a gentle kiss on her lips as he did so, sitting back up straight as he watched her. "Try not to strain yourself too much, alright? I don't want you breaking any stitches before we even start planning."

Pulsing her lips against his Risa smiled up at him, running her fingers along the back of his neck. "Did you really expect any different?" she asked as she cocked a brow. "No, I suppose not." Lucas said plainly, a soft smile resting on his lips. She was about to sit back when the door opened and she heard someone clearing their throat. Turning her head slightly she spotted Dr. Chang standing there with her arms crossed.

"Hey, lay the fuck back down," she barked and Risa gave Lucas a look that could only be construed as oh fuck, I'm in trouble. What's new? Shrugging she laid back down as Amy walked over and check the vitals and monitors. "Seems like you are feeling better but you have to rest now. No fucking him until those stitches I put in come out got it? I mean it damn it, that's some of my best handy work and I won't have you marring it up just because he liked it so much he put a ring on it." Lucas scrunched up his mouth slightly, it was relatively clear the man had a snarky comment on hand, but he was holding it in for now, the doctor had saved Risa's life, he wanted to avoid annoying her as much as possible, a true sign of respect, in Lucas' books.

"She'll behave, Doc - i'll make sure of it." He gave Chang a nod, looking toward Risa with a wink. He was content enough with things as they were, the engagement was more than enough for him, and to finally have it out of the way was perfect. Settling back in his seat, he watched Risa quietly, a smile on his face as he let Amy do what she needed to.
Jackson Tanner

Location: Outside

Jackson wasn't particularly surprised as Dorothy came out and joined the two of them in their standoff, she may have been a doctor but when it came to situations like this, she was just as comfortable dealing out injuries as she was treating them. That was a veteran for you, he supposed. Jackson remained relatively quiet as Anisa spoke with Brutus, keeping his gun aimed carefully at one of the thugs as he watched Brutus, waiting for the slightest drop of a hat to burst into action. Showdowns like this weren't exactly uncommon in their line of work, he was always cool and collected when it came to situations like this.

Jackson didn't need to see that Anisa was hit to react, the very second he heard the shot he pulled back on his trigger, sending a round toward the thug he'd been aiming at. He left Brutus, figuring he'd be a priority target for some of the others, and shifted his aim between a few of the other thugs, firing a pair of shots toward each as he took a few steps back toward whatever cover there was nearby, taking a moment or two to reload once he was out of ammo.

Jackon praised whatever god might've existed that he had always been a decent gunfighter, a quickdraw was usually his style and the man favored a handgun above all else, showdowns like this were the kind of fights he shined in. Ducking around from cover again as he reloaded, he sent another shot toward Brutus, eyes shifting over to Anisa momentarily. He saw she'd taken a hit, but it had only dropped her to a knee, she'd taken far worse and he knew it, both of them had, as long as it stayed this way, he had no concerns. Especially considering he figured the rest of the crew would be there soon.

Gregory Quinn

Location: Conference Room ->

"War isn't usually a particularly artistic endeavour." Gregory countered to Carla's initial comment with a fairly bland tone. When he could avoid it, Quinn preferred to avoid risking his men, and at the stage he'd reached - in the event that resulted in the odd misfire or collateral damage, that was just war. He raised an eyebrow as she brought up the strawberries, and the eyebrow remained raised throughout the duration of the PA announcement for the bridge. Getting underway finally, it was almost enough to bring the slightest semblance of a smile to Gregory's face, almost.

As she suggested they return to the bridge, Quinn sighed, leaning forward to finish off his tea and set the cup back down as he stood. "A fair idea, shall we?" He motioned to the door and moved out along with her, beginning to wander the halls toward the bridge. Most often, Quinn would sit in his office during take off, he trusted the bridge crew not to screw up their jobs, or they'd be dealing with him - but with a new pilot at the head of the ship, he figured he should at least be present to scold the man first-hand if he happened to make some unecessary maneuver which Quinn found risky.

He was quite content to have Carla along with him, more than aware of the nicknames she had, Quinn had no quarrel with them. Quinn made no effort to hide the fact that the woman was essentially his only real confidant on the crew, arguably the only person he completely trusted - perhaps a horrible idea when it came to an assassin. But Carla had never given him reason to doubt her, and he figured she wouldn't start to any time soon.
@Lady Amalthea

Putting together a post now for this and a few other rps, and i'll put up some for the rest tomorrow ^^, sorry to keep people waiting!
Liam Matthews

Location: Aunt Sue's Inn #10
Interacting With: Aloise Zamora (Via Voicemail) @Morose

Liam sat there, waiting for any sign from above for a while, he hadn't exactly spoken with the almighty before, at least not that he remembered, so he wasn't exactly sure how long to wait, or even what a divine sign was going to look like. Ultimately, he resigned himself to the idea that god didn't feel like picking up the phone right now, and turned back to his computer with a sigh. Continuing his search, as the sun was setting he grew close to consigning himself to failure, that was until he stumbled across a website, seeming to detail 'hunters', along with a short list of recommended hunters.

He looked over the names, trying to establish which one might be best, or if any of them were any better than the others. A few names caught his eye, Darren Andrews, and the one he settled on, Aloise Zamora. Finding her contact details, he sighed as he grabbed his phone, half-expecting this all to be a prank for him to just seem like an insane person. Regardless, however, he figured at that point he didn't have many other options, he had no clue what was going on at that point.

Sighing, he looked over his phone for a moment before he put in the woman's number. He held it to his ear, listening to the ringing for a while, no one picked up but it went to voicemail, sighing, Luke began to leave arguably the most awkward message of his life. "Hey, uh Aloise - my name's Liam Matthews, i'm a reporter for CNN and uh, a prophet I guess? Yeah, that sounds nuts. Listen, I found your details online, and I think I need help hunting down some, shape-shifter type thing, you can find me in Aunt Sue's Inn in Altsoba, Room ten." Sighing as he hung up, he set down the phone, running a hand through his head.

Darren Andrews

Location: Forgotten Relics
Interacting With: Jade Cornish, Howard Brighton, Adriana Byrd @Morose Zachary Carpenter @BlueSky44

Taking in the scenario as the group entered the shop, Darren kept his shotgun up and aimed in Adriana's direction. This wasn't exactly what he'd expected when they came to the rare book shop, he'd been expecting to encounter demons, and all sort of the supernatural in Altsoba, but it hadn't at any point crossed his mind that he could just be fighting humans at any point. He'd hoped that the guns would be intimidating enough, and that it wouldn't escalate to fighting, but as Jade pulled back on her trigger, that hope was dashed. Seeing the smirk on her face hurt, physically hurt, because Darren knew how futile it was.

He went to dash toward her, to push her out of harm's way, but the bullets started flying and he was forced away before he could. Just before he reached her, a round hit his arm, spinning him around and dropping him down behind a bookcase as more kept flying. As they stopped, Darren's eyes shot toward Jade, watching as she fell and seeing the blood seeping from her chest. His eyes locked with hers for a moment, and he watched as the light was drained from them. An instant later he was thrust to action again, realising that their attacker was out of ammo as he dropped the shotgun, grabbing his pistol and emptying the magazine.

Loading a magazine of actual bullets into his gun, he had no reservations of hesitating as he ducked around the bookcase before Adriana could get another bunch of rounds off, lining up the gun toward her, he began to pull back on the trigger again, and again and again, firing until he only had one more bullet left in the magazine and ducking back into cover, sighing as he looked down to Jade's lifeless body, a sinking feeling of guilt filling the Hunter.
@lopsided

Friendly warning that you're coming up to your limit, you need to post before it gets to there or let me know you need an extension.

@Lmpkio

I'm going to allow you an extension this once, in future if you're not going to make a post by day 8, you need to let me know so I can grant you an extension. The next time you hit day 8 without an extension, I will have to remove you from the RP. You have until it reaches day 10 max, after that point you'll be removed.
@Lady Amalthea

Morose has gotten a post in so it's fine, but for future reference, as long as it's not a major post involving all three of your characters, it's fine. I don't mind you putting in an update for just one of your characters before two posts have been made between your last.
@lopsided

So sorry! I saw this the day you posted it and thought i'd accepted it but it must have slipped my mind. He looks just fine, accepted ^^
