Current Man, I remember those last few statuses sounding funnier when I was writing them... Is this what aging does to people?

I eat negativity and shit out hopes and dreams. Like a tree, but for pessimism.

Good news, I'm not failing out of my cooking course tomorrow! Bad news, it's only because I nearly sliced a chunk off my finger practicing for it and needed stitches.

It's days like today that I truly believe this ADHD is both a blessing AND a curse.

I reckon two then for now. Makes it easier for my character to make references. That and my character can use those references to explain why he's apprehensive about buying the game, despite quickly realising he really wants it anyway.
@Agent 47

"Did he really though?" Zander asked, raising an eyebrow. "He cut in line. Sure, its kind of shitty, but I feel like there was some significantly disproportionate retribution that took place."

He watched Gabby raise her cup to the sun, as if it was some kind of god, and shook his head.

"Yeah, no, you're holding your cardboard cup of bitter black water like its a gift from god, and I really think you need to rethink that opinion. In fact, it looks like you're holding that more happily than when you carry me. What's more important Gabs, your coffee or your partner?"

Of course, throughout that whole pseudo-rant, his voice had been practically dripping with sarcasm, but sometimes, every now and then, he still had to wonder.

Unfortunately, before he could give a proper response to her griping about his rest period, an explosion rocked the city, causing his brow to crease. Of course, the explosion paled in comparison to the fact that, as Gabby had said, this would be eating into his relaxation time. Still, Zander Branc was an optimist, and he would keep trying to look at the bright side and do the best for everyone.

"Alright, I guess I can sleep through tomorrow's dissection! Not like I can't just find it in a nature book or something anyway. Now, lets go save the world!"

As he shouted, he transformed into his weapon form, a three section spear, and spun into Gabby's hand, his chains retracted to leave him in his normal spear mode.
Hey, I'm pretty interested. I particularly like the first three and five, but I'll immediately go for the first one if we do use the fantasy elements.

@Zelosse

Ok, thanks. By the way, is there a specific area for water elementals like there is for the others?

@Zelosse

Ok, so I think I was actually looking at where each element takes their classes or something like that. It was the part where it mentioned earth elementals having the basement, air elementals getting the very top floor, fire elementals getting a special cathedral, and light elementals getting everything.

And I guess I don't really need Jeremy to have incredible contr straight away, but he'd still be able to catch up, right?

Oh, well is it possible for him to have been a late transfer for some reason? I wasn't sure what's actually been going on, so I tried to write in a way where he would be getting introduced to actual academy life now. Also I wasn't sure were the dorm rooms for water users were, because I couldn't see it in the bit where you mentioned all the other elements dorms.

So does anyone want to interact with Jeremy? Because he might end up running himself to death if someone doesn't stop him.

Jeremy was lost.

This was a weird, new feeling for the excitable boy, as he tended to have a pretty good sense of direction most of the time, being able to make his way around his home town, which was only about thirty kilometres from where e was standing, with enough ease that some of his friends had begun to accuse him of teleportation. He wasn't the kind of kid to get lost. If anything, he was the one getting others lost when they tried to follow him!

Now though, he was at the Academy, the place he'd been looking forward to for most of his life, and he was lost in a maze of streets and alleys. Somehow, even with all the stories his parents had told him, he couldn't manage to find his way around.

And this was even with him trying to follow the streets towards the massive tower looming above everything!

Eventually, he made it to the tower properly, although it had taken about an hour! Still though, it was really beginning to hit him. After fifteen years of waiting, he had finally made it!

Taking a deep breath of anticipation, he stepped into the tower, doing his best to stop his excitement from taking over.

And then he chuckled lightly, before throwing his arms up into the air with a loud shout of exhilaration.

"I DID IT!"

Well, it looked like he hasn't quite succeeded in keeping his excitement under control, but he honestly didn't care. He vaguely registered the stares from a few students as he ran happily around the room, quickly finding the stairs and sprinting up them, still giggling like an idiot.

"I wonder what my roomie will be like?" He laughed to himself as he ran.

Honestly, he wasn't sure what the point of running up the tower was apart from simple exploration. Still, he was sure that a student or teacher or something would eventually stop him, and then he could just ask them what he was meant to do!

Yep, that was a good enough plan. Definitely.

"This is gonna be the best!" He shouted, startling a couple of nearby students.

Ok, so I had Joseph collapse in front of Rens house like you asked. Eager to see where you'll take it from here, because I think I might have accidentally gotten him started on dying.
Joseph, as often seemed to be the case these days, was lost. He may have talent in many areas, but direction was not one of them. In fact, as with but about all skill sets he lacked, it seemed like nature had actively pulled from them to fuel the few he actually had. Not only that, it had pulled way more than it had given, which was why while searching for the warehouses by the docks snowgirl had told him about, he somehow wound up in an area quite distinctly not filled with warehouses. In fact, it was a pretty nice side of town. The journey itself had taken pretty much all of Tuesday, as he found himself not being able to walk as quickly as usual due to lack of food.

Which brought him to his second predicament.

He was pretty much starving.

At this point, it had been about a week since his last meal, and it was whining to take a real toll on him. Sure, he could've perhaps begged or something and maybe have gotten enough money to buy something, but he was way to nervous to do that. People would be judging him every time they have him anything, and despite his outburst at the Swansong the other night, he was usually not the kind of person who coped well with confrontation.

Either way, it didn't matter too much now. He doubted anyone here would offer him much in the way of money or food. Sure, there was a possibility he might strike it lucky and run into one of the nice ones like snowgirl, but with his luck, it'd probably be someone like Castro again.

Then again, it probably wasnt going to matter much anyway, considering his legs just have out. His eyes widened as he came to this realisation, right before he collided with the footpath.

Despite the pain, however, he merely chuckled for a moment, before sighing and rolling himself into his back, staring up at the sky.

"How long has it been since I last collapsed?" He muttered to himself. "I don't think this has happened since my first year wandering..."

He sighed again, as he looked to the building he'd collapsed directly in front of.

Well, he sure hoped the rich folk inside were some of the kind ones, otherwise his wandering may very well come to an end right there!
