@RaikaSomething like "conjuring flame" would be a basic power. Mind you, at the basic level, you'd only be able to conjure small flames at first, and you'd gradually get better at it. As for the domestic abuse question, as a rule of thumb, if the CPS would get involved, that's too dark.
@Nerdy Reference Looks okay. Just make a note of why she has powers. Is she descended from a spiritualist? Does she have youkai blood? Put that in and she's accepted.

Welcome, everyone, to The Hunters Club! In this RP, you will be playing a student who recently discovers their supernatural abilities with the help of the titular club. Whether you are the descendant of divine practitioners, whether you have youkai blood, or whether you just hit the genetic lottery, you have been scouted for your blooming powers. And, you are about to be plunged into a world of hidden battles against the creatures of lore. The club will teach you, help you hone your abilities, and then you will join the fight that so few can take part in. The premise is pretty simple, and more will develop as the RP progresses. Any questions, feel free to ask!
The Rules
1.) Don’t be a dick. Keep the OOC nice and civil. No name-calling. No condescending remarks. No passive-aggressive snark. Just, like, be cool. If somebody does something that annoys you and you really can’t deal with it, PM me and we can all discuss it like civilized folks.
2.) No godmoding, autohitting, powerplaying, yadda yadda. It’s basic RP etiquette. If you don’t know what those things are, ask me. If you aren’t sure if something you want your character to do is allowed, ask me. If you suspect that somebody is breaking this rule, PM me and I’ll look at it.
3.) I want this to be an active RP, so please post at least once a week. Your posts should be at least one meaty paragraph (5 or more sentences), and that’s a minimum. Your posts should be proofread and mostly free of errors. Typos happen, but make it look like you tried. If you’re having writer’s block, ask for suggestions. Wait for at least two other people to post before you post again. Otherwise, make a collab post with the person you’re interacting with. If you don’t think you can do all that, then this may not be the RP for you.
4.)This RP takes place in the real world, so don't go around killing people. If it's a monster NPC, it's A-okay to attempt a kill, but like it says in rule 1, no autohitting. You declare your actions against an NPC, I decide if it works.
5.) Romance is allowed and encouraged, but keep it PG-13. If things are getting steamy, fade to black, take it to PM’s. Also, I will not allow any rape or domestic abuse, explicit or implied. This is supposed to be a fairly light-hearted RP, and those themes are way too dark.
6.) You get one character. Put your CS in the OOC for review. Do NOT put it in the characters tab until it has been accepted. Do not post your CS until you’re ready to have it reviewed. You can pretty up your CS however you like, just make sure you contain all the relevant info. If you need a placeholder to save your work, use the sandbox forum. Once your CS has been accepted, do not alter it without telling me and getting approval first.
7.) I have the final say. If you wanna talk about an issue or suggest something, that’s cool. I like ideas and I like to listen. But, once I make my decision, let it be. Also, I may add more rules if I need to.

Your family and teachers called it an overactive imagination, and you let them believe that you "grew out of it." But, just because you stopped talking about such things, it didn't mean you stopped seeing them. And lately, they've been growing a bit more vivid. But, you have more important things to worry about...

It was a pretty typical brochure: a bright and sunny photo of a pristine school entrance with cherry blossoms fluttering in the wind adorning a pamphlet filled with academic achievements, prestigious clubs, and promises of a successful future. You'd already read through dozens of pamphlets like these and tossed them away. You didn't have the grades to get into a school like this, and you weren't going to be scouted for a sports scholarship anytime soon. However, what surprised you was the letter of acceptance that came with it. Somehow, you were accepted into a school that you never even applied to. The letter was short and sweet:
Greetings, [your name]
We at Himikai Academy are happy to announce that you have been granted admittance in our school. We are aware that you did not submit an application to us, however a certain special interest group believes that you are Himikai material. Your acceptance into the school is contingent upon your membership with our Hunters Club. You will be required to regularly attend their meetings and actively participate in the club's activities to maintain your enrollment in our school. However, if you read through our brochure, you will see that this is a great opportunity for you to get a head-start in life! We look forward to seeing you.
Your parents were thrilled. It was a far more prestigious school than any you had applied to. So, the matter was settled. You'd join their little club and get a chance at an excellent education. The brochure didn't say anything about the club, though, so you'd have to figure it out during the first meeting.
Who likes anime-style supernatural battles against all kinds of crazy-powerful creatures with all the shenanigans that comes with school life? I do. That's why I'm making this RP.
So, this RP will be inspired by the likes of Yu-Yu Hakusho, Bleach, Japanese folklore, and just overall anime awesomeness. Here's the deal. You will be a student attending a prestigious school. You aren't sure why you got accepted. Your grades aren't spectacular, you aren't the star player of any sports team, and your artistic creations won't be making it into a museum any time soon. Hell, you don't even remember applying to this school, but never look a gift horse in the mouth, right? Well, there's a catch. There's always a catch. Your acceptance into the school has been endorsed by a school club called, "The Hunter's Club," and your admittance into the school is contingent upon your membership in the club. You couldn't find out much about the club on paper, but they advertise numerous field trips and gratuitous amounts of excitement. TLDR: You accept.
Then, on the first club meeting, you learn the truth. You have been scouted to join a group of youkai hunters. Maybe you're a descendant of spiritual practitioners, maybe you have youkai blood, or maybe you just hit the genetic lottery. Either way, you have power, they're gonna teach you how to use it, and you're gonna use it to kill evil stuff. Oh, and this is totally a secret by the way, so try to keep the collateral damage to a minimum.

Ayame scowled when she saw that her fire had more or less no effect on the demon. She wasn't expecting to take it out with her attack, but how could he be completely unburned like that? However, she didn't have long to assess her opponent, as it seemed everyone was just tossing everything they had at him. And then, "The Bunny Lady!?" Ayame had caught a glimpse of her every now and then. She had thought she was just some ghost who wandered the streets, as nobody seemed to notice her and she didn't bother anyone. But, apparently she had some sweet sword skills. Yet, even all of that just wasn't enough. The demon still managed to dodge and retaliated with an enormous blast.
Ayame just stood wide-eyed as the blast of energy came barreling towards her. How the hell was anyone supposed to dodge something like that!? She brought her arms in front of her and braced for impact, but she wasn't as strong as Jaakuna and it knocked her off of her feet, sending her tumbling into a pile of wooden beams. Her head was spinning, her ears were ringing, and she let out a groan as she tried to figure out whether or not she was still alive.
"You kids okay?"
She shook her head and forced herself back on her feet when the Bunny Lady called out to them. "Y-yeah... Just got blasted to kingdom come is all. Totally fine." It would take a bigger attack than that to knock the snark out of her. But, it looked like everyone was trying to regroup. Tatsuya was suggesting they strategize... Yeah, they were screwed. She took a deep breath and a blue flame appeared in her hand. "I can definitely buy some time for you guys. I can probably go toe-to-toe with him for... maybe ten seconds." She saw Tatsuya eyeing an oil drum as well as the giant glowing bat in his hand, and immediately knew what he was thinking. (What the hell kind of life did she have that she didn't consider a giant glowing bat weird). "Jaa-kun, think you can keep peppering him with those energy balls? It'll give me and Tatsu-kun a chance to hit him with something big. After that, I'll tie him up and try to make an opening so Bunny Lady can get a good stab in. Sound like a good plan?"
