Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

What're you rolling now?
Added the second Natrelmon, then.

Please do.
What I meant is more: rarity restrictions?

I'd just hoard the money otherwise, I'm fine with losing it.
Right, time to try and rewrite the thing I wrote before the server wipe. And try and stay in one of these threads for longer than a fortnight.

This took way too long. So many tabs.

Name: Kaede Sakura

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Appearance: Tall and exceedingly dishevelled, with hair that looks like it hasn't been brushed in months--or cut in years, creating a tangled, brownish-black mess for want of a better word. Aside from that, Kaede is nothing really to look at: brown eyes, tan, worn coat, threadbare clothes... if it weren't for her size and what her relic was attached to, she'd never attract the slightest bit of attention.

Hometown: Sakura

Personality: Serious. Deadly serious, with almost no sense of humour at all: puns, wordplay, and sarcasm will all go completely over her head. To make matters worse, she's extremely prideful, and overreacts to insults. On the more positive side, Kaede's a very calm person (touchy ego excepted) and will stoically endure all but the most extreme circumstances.

Relic Description: Filigree... on the blade of what has got to be one of the most pointlessly long blades ever forged: a nodachi too long to ever even remotely sheathe. Without the sword, the filigree would be rather hard to carry around, so they make a neat set.

Starting Natrelmon: Sakura

Starting Spell Schools: Abjuration, Electromancy

History: As soon as she got the chance, Kaede took the sword, and left home; too determined to see the world and make something of herself to spare much in the way of goodbyes. It wasn't as if she was ever very close to her family, though: exercise and trying to wield the sword were of more interest to her. Somehow, one way or the other, she's survived and neither frozen nor starved to death. Her clothing has definitely gotten the worst of it, though.

Professions: Tracker, Mage

Noteworthy Skills: Whilst she doesn't have all that much formal training, Kaede does have quite some experience at surviving in the wilderness. She's also finally gotten to the point of proficiency with the lump of steel she's always lugging around--though being easy to provoke into fighting means she's also had to learn how to use her fists.

Role: Robot Girl
Name: Project Guardian Angel: Date Akira
Age: 343 days.
Gender: Female

Personality: Rather sedate and a bit... odd. She sometimes stops walking in the middle of a corridor to inspect some point of interest, or to start up a conversation with someone because, say, the ribbon in their hair appeals to her. She gets interested in odd things, and makes even greater logical jumps between conversation topics. For some reason, Akira's programming has left her inordinately interested in romance. She also has a rather unnerving love for hugs.
Her hair is never tied the same way on two sequential days.
Brief Backstory: Less than a year ago, Akira was rolled out to fight the [INSERT NAME HERE] threat. Thus, her life is considerably less interesting than her production process, though even that is somewhat dull in and of itself. The really interesting thing is how they went about programming her: once they had the basic directives down, it was time to give her the necessary skills and knowledge to blend in with people and fight the [INSERT NAME HERE]. The designers were well aware that they needed to try and give an entire upbringing in order to not create someone too obviously robotic.
So they overcompensated in the opposite direction, giving enough information and life story that the end personality was entirely unpredictable. Part of this was combining footage and information to build her an entire background--her parents are businessmen, and their jobs required them to travel from country to country a lot. Once she was old enough, Akira started going with them, but she was sent back to Japan to finish her education formally.
When quizzed on the specifics, she mentions the tropics a lot, as one of her designers went on trips to rainforests a lot.
Skills: Always gets 100% on tests, courtesy of having all the information required to teach these subjects put into her head so she could focus on her proper mission. This result means she gets more leeway in not showing up to classes. Akira is also very good at singing, and effectively able to speak all major world languages.
Abilities: Her abilities are a bit harder to use in school. See, Akira keeps all her spare ammo in that case, so she can't exactly bring it with her; and the cane raises too many questions, so she can't bring that with her. Sadly, without the cane, she cannot transform her arm into a laser cannon, as the crystal is the most vital component for that, and the body of the cane itself contains essential circuitry. And without the case, the chaingun in her right arm is a bit hard to use long term...
So, if surprised, this just means producing the weaponry concealed in her torso and wielding that: a selection of medieval armaments, a chainsaw, and one experimental weapon prone to shutting down that, whilst it works, uses electricity to create an edge that melts before it cuts, and thus can slice through most things like butter. Without power it's just a blunt shortsword.
Finally, her legs are far springier than they can appear, and Akira can thus jump extremely high compared to a normal person. And land from such heights safely.
Archetype: Lancelot du Lac; Greatest Knight of the Round Table. This Archetype grants the ability to summon the sword Arondight, and wield it with greater proficiency than could normally be managed--which is quite useful when you're already pretty good due to being built with melee combat in mind. The sword does not do anything special, but it can be used to block things that would shatter Akira's normal armaments--and it's shiny enough to deflect lasers and the like.
Other: Left handed.
-The Robot Girl: The only role with a predetermined gender, the Robot Girl is a female-programmed mechanical warrior designed by Angeltech to combat the creatures that have come into existence as a result of the process set in motion twenty years ago. She was completed and deployed only a year ago. She is armed with a variety of weapons designed to destroy them and has been enrolled in Himawari High School due to the high density of creature activity in the area. She must attempt to keep her nature a secret, unless it is discovered or she chooses to reveal it.

:O

Claimedness, go.
Omni = all, plus calling me an angel? Dead giveaway. :P
And this is why I chose electricity over magnets.

Hopefully, the lights are now turned on. :P
The tech-priest found the ride annoyingly turbulent, largely due to a lack of airtight containers on top of the already rough sees. Given a few more minutes to prepare and she could have made the raft more seaworthy, but no: the instant it was put together they had to set off. Given even longer and she could probably have cannibalised the escape pod even further to give it some sort of rudimentary propulsion other than using a chainaxe as an ore. It was a good thing that she kept oil on her person, rather than in supplies, because otherwise...

"You know of the Omnissiah?" the tech-priest asked the man, curious but then quickly turned back to the generator. Hm, there was a distinct lack of light... and she hardly wanted people to be stumbling around here looking for something so volatile in the dark. This would require a little emergency alteration.

Her combi-tool was put to life removing some panels from the rear of the generator, exposing where the power left the machine. It was a good thing she had so many electricity related implants and training: she could simply wire herself into the machine for the time being and, until promethium was definitely found...

... there was all the power they needed to turn this pathetic station on.
The sun was shining, birds were singing, frogs were being frozen in the centre of the Misty Lake (which, true to its name, had a shroud of mist hanging over its deeper regions), and there was nary a breeze, generally causing most of the residents of Gensokyo to be burning to death. This was not, however, the case for Flandre Scarlet: with a fairy desperately trying to keep a parasol over her head, which was hard when she sometimes started running at an unpredictable time, she was actually quite cool. Even moreso now that her shoes and socks were well in hand, and the water of the lake was up to her knees. She seemed quite happy to be sloshing through the water, despite the silt.

It seemed that there was at least one person up ahead, and the blonde vampire was determined to say hello!
Elsewhere, Sanae had also found shade. For someone that hadn't yet woken up this morning, it was quite some achievement to even need to find shade in the first place, but the shrine maiden sometimes had to deal with bouts of sleepwalking, and with the ability to fly she could get quite far afield. By some miracle, she had found a shady building with open doors and a mostly intact roof, and was snoring away on some sort of wooden bench, which at least had a handy cushion (or something equally soft) to use as a pillow.

So, as far as the mildly ill miko was concerned, this was a fine place to be sleeping. Especially with her huggable plushies well in hand.

The nun that ran this church might not feel the same way, though.
