Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

What to do that doesn't result in horrible burny agony... :O
Mokou fervently wished she could be back in her nice, peaceful forest rather than surrounded by... this. Less than five minutes in civilisation, and a schoolgirl was insulting an armoured skeleton, whilst some blonde in a red coat was trying to keep them apart. Meanwhile all these conversations... and nobody wanted to do anything about being stranded outside in the snow, even though nobody was really dressed for winter weather.

Thus, to keep out of the way, she extinguished her arm and walked over to a low-hanging branch. It would be fresh wood, which wasn't good, but it was better than standing around shivering, and it gave something to do rather than get involved in all the petty arguments. How, though, to break one off--and after that get enough for a sizeable fire?

Anyone actually paying attention would be treated to the odd site of someone drop-kicking tree branches from above until they snapped enough that she could just cut through them. Flight was handy.
Has it ever bounced back, Vash... XD
if Mokou comes up with a theory, it will either be 'Eirin's done something' or 'that gap youkai'. Since Eirin nearly put the world in a jar, this is very much plausible.
Mokou blinked a few times, wondering why exactly everything was so cold. She'd been fighting Kaguya, that enormous temple ceiling had come out of her pocket somehow, then... nothing. Putting the pieces together made it easy enough to work out exactly what had happened: she'd been hit over the head with a seamless piece of wood big enough to cover an entire building, and it had snowed before she woke up. It had been early summer when she went to sleep, but that didn't mean terribly much in Gensokyo; there was that one time spring had been really late in arriving, and then the one where there were flowers everywhere for no reason she'd found out. Snow in summer wasn't something to make a fuss over.

Opening her eyes blew this conclusion entirely out of the water: there weren't this many buildings in the Bamboo Forest and the architecture was like nothing in Gensokyo. Here and there a few buildings would have fit in, but then there were all the grey boxes and the stone constructions...

For someone used to traditional Japanese architecture, this was all rather new.

People were talking but that wasn't really a concern right now; it was cold and she didn't feel like freezing to death today. She'd once died, gotten caught in a snowdrift, and died again. It had been a very, very dull winter until spring arrived; Mokou had been completely unable to melt it due to not being able to feel any part of her body. Thus, the person with more hair than everyone else present combined climbed to her feet, and set about providing a little warmth.

This was by wreathing her whole arm in flames, but it worked--even if a normal person would be rather on fire.
  • Name: Fujiwara no Mokou

  • Universe: Touhou

  • Appearance:
  • Personality: Terse and rather grumpy, Mokou is hard to excite unless you've got something to do with Kaguya. She's not entirely cut off from human contact, and can go on and on once you've gotten her worked up, but she's still not the most outgoing person to have ever lived.

  • Powers/Skills: The most notable power that Mokou has is complete immortality--that is, attempts to kill her are as likely to succeed as Sisyphus is to finish pushing that boulder up the hill. She'll simply get up, damage repaired and none the worse for wear. The pain lingers, and she's astonishingly fragile, essentially having bothered to toughen herself up somehow, thus making it simply a matter of killing her enough times for the pain to become crippling.
Her more active abilities? Well, the one she seems to get the most mileage out of is fire: controlling it and creating it. If it gets too big, though, it gets rather out of hand and she's been responsible for at least one forest fire, so there's limits on what she can safely toss around. At least she doesn't have to worry about burning herself due to all the amulets on her person making her fireproof.
From all the ofuda that she throws around back home, and the amulets themselves, it's quite likely that she knows onmyoudo, though the practical uses for that are slim and far between.
Like anyone from Gensokyo, she can fly.

  • Brief Bio: A long, long time ago, Mokou was simply a nobleman's daughter. This changed, however, after a certain lunar princess showed up and, by revealing his deception, humiliated the man. Mokou swore revenge and went off after her, though if she'd been constrained to a single lifetime this would have gotten absolutely nowhere. Fortunately, she came across a man tasked with destroying immortality-granting medicine. As he got near to the end of the quest... well, it's safe to say that he never actually finished it, as Mokou is very much still alive.
Time passed, as it does, and for a while she went rather crazy, becoming little more than a mobile hazard to anyone and everything that came across her path--roughly a century of death and destruction. This got followed by listlessness as the former noble basically awaited the end of the world itself... until, one day in a bamboo forest, she came across the most glorious thing of all: the princess she'd sworn revenge on!
Since then, Mokou has been perfectly content to spend her time showing people out of the forest, and killing Kaguya only to be killed in a glorious, endless cycle of revenge. Recently, by their standards, Kaguya sent a few people who had stopped her retainer from putting the Earth into a jar to kill Mokou rather than do it herself. Naturally, it didn't stick.

  • Equipment: Nada. Well, maybe an essentially infinite supply of ofuda. That seems to be a thing.

  • Others: Probably does not actually smoke, I just like the picture. Can't harm her, at least.
  • Name: Mizuki Ami

    Age: 20

Personality: Ami is cripplingly shy, and if it wasn't for her assigned task would be keeping up the bad old habits of not leaving her residence at all, whilst enjoying the fruits of her secretly perverse nature. When she is forced into dealing with people, and manages to get over the impulse to run and hide from them, Ami is oddly grumpy all the time. Dealing with people is no fun.

    Sin: Lust

Job: Working in a Maid Café

Cost: Because Hell is known for ironic punishments, and making people do stuff reflecting their sins to work their way into heaven is fitting, Ami is required to flirt with pretty girls, despite being barely capable of interacting with people in the first place.

Other: Her death involved fire, and stacks upon stacks of hand-drawn art blocking all hope of escape.
And the stuff that happened to Strix is why I put down Invisible Man invisibility and not any other stuff. : P
    Invisibility. Invisibility everywhere.
    As the above post says...
