Mmm fair enough. I shall have to experiment when the DVD arrives. In the meantime, I'll remain open to potential alternate suggestions.
Use a computer. Computers, as far as I know, aren't region-locked at all.
It's not necessarily supposed to activate a menu--from the sound of it, if the instructions are commonplace, it's more of a region lock override command.
My advice would be to wait for the DVD, then see if the instructions work before asking for help. :p
