Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

The year is 1999. After the disaster of the Fourth Grail War, the Fuyuki Grail War was ended for good. Yet with the Einzbern too stubborn to give up 'their' prize, another was fashioned in the same manner: a homunculus to act as the core, a Grail to summon the Servants. However, it was imperfect; with only Justeaze's memories and not Justeaze herself, no contributions by a Magician, and Zouken being several hundred years older and a madman, full success was impossible. Instead, they made a one-off war on a tropical island, where the class system and numbers might not hold exactly.

At least one good thing comes of it: All the Evils of the World can't ruin this fight.
So, I haven't quite decided on how to handle pairing up, but one thing's pretty much set in stone: whilst it shouldn't deviate too much, it's possible to have more than 7 Servants, and duplicate classes. Nothing like Medusa or that ridiculousness that claims to be Bathory, since this Grail wasn't corrupted.

Perching atop a plummeting dragon, trying to behead it, and being steadily melted the entire time was an unpleasant feeling. Not the most unpleasant feeling he'd ever had to experience, but it was pretty high up there. His position gave him a good view of the blonde man foolishly deciding he should push Saber aside without concern for not making them an easy target.

With the wash of light removing the corruption and disintegration that had resulted from riding the beast until its demise, Archer took he time look around the room. An armory, huh? Not a place he, in particular, would be spending much time in: every weapon provided as a result of their successes had been examined, had its structure broken down, and been committed to memory. Even if replicating the bizarre gun-lance hybrids was something Archer had little taste, nor aptitude, for doing, knowing their structure and abilities would help if someone else decided to use one of the originals.

With the conflict apparently over, the main thing of interest now was Saber's imminent argument with Vash--something the tall man couldn't resist getting involved with, face smirking rather than serious. "If you want to get close to Saber, there are much better ways than trying to spirit her away in battle."
Tomorrow, a post shall be forthcoming! Probably with a tiny blonde! :O
Yes, I am totally insane. And checking for interest. This is, obviously, going to be another Holy Grail War (rather than a more generalised Nasuverse thing). Average Servant powerlevel is yet to be determined, but Masters... well, I'd be aiming for more the sort of thing that the VN shows (particularly the current anime).*

So, who's interested?

*AKA: the Master can at best barely stay alive against a full-power Servant actually trying to make 'em dead. The sole exception to this is in HF, where 'human capacity' is debatable. So yeah, Masters lose. Horribly. Keeping a Servant around is a thing for a reason.
Name: Hoshino Yuki

Age: 16 years, 364 days

Appearance: Not just athletic, but pretty tall.

Personality: Good natured but rather blunt and wholly reliant on discipline and self-control to not start a fight when she gets angry--which can be quite often, as her height was the source of rather a lot of mocking when she was younger (and didn't appear to have the upper body strength to snap you in half), and she's still rather sensitive about her appearance. Better at socialising with animals than with people, really.

History: Taking to her grandfather's training from a rather young age, it's pretty safe to say that it's more the old man that's raised her than her own parents. At school, Yuki is generally a poor student, though persistent enough to not drastically fall behind--but she definitely excels in physical pursuits, and has to more or less beat off sports clubs with a stick. Why the hell do they think she'd be good at team sports, anyway?

Powers: (?)
ANGSTANGSTANGSTANGST.

... seriously, I don't think normal magical girl backstory is 'EVERYTHING SUCKS'.
From an actual conversation... yes, Roxas is more stumped by what to say than totally absent.
