Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

You're being asked for specifics simply because you're the one person whose spells have an attached duration.

Everything else is fire and forget.
Olivie, too, examined the crumbling ruin from a seated position and wondered if the insides matched the legends. It was the sort of thing that she'd grown up on, after all. Al's offer to... throw someone to a ledge and try and break in seemed a bit questionable; what if they fell through the roof? Or could be put that high with less danger involved.

More importantly however, the door was still shut. This held a bit more significance than was immediately apparent, due to the simple fact that they had some idea what was inside beyond the legendary 'trapped castle'.

"I think you miss the easier solution, Mr. Valkanos. The door is shut fast, yet we know of rats inside. This is not the first time that adventurers have ventured into these ruins. Nay, there must be a trap-less path towards the interior," the half-giant reasoned, eyes following the elf as he went in search of a breach.

Given the risk of someone being attacked on their own, Olivie rose from the grass and strode after him, slowing once the gap was closed.
The Undying Silence

With the lack of help forthcoming, it was inevitable that Maria would get exactly what she wanted sooner rather than later. Particularly after showing what a 'gentle' tap with the sword could do to the wrist of an unconscious security guard. The researcher had caved and handed over the password, with the knight now displaying what could be termed a surprising level of familiarity with navigating a computer.

Unlike so many movies, the Undying Silence had both lived through the intervening years and not become a luddite. Particularly because technology might finally be able to solve the answer to her queries--especially if this formula helped. It was several steps back from the current serum, with warnings about uncontrollable, painful regeneration. In short: ideal for her purposes.

Make some. Fill a briefcase.

Another note. Another waiting game until she got what she wanted.
There's one bardic song variant that sets weapons on fire. Not always useful, that. xD
Four humans, two hundi, a half-giant, and I think there's been an undead proposed.
I could build a third edition bard* to be entirely a melee character with minimal focus on supporting the rest of the party (TWF and Snowflake Wardance to kick things off). Doesn't mean that therefore a bard character needs multiple abilities on par with what anyone else can do; they're going to lose out on proficiency if you give that sort of breadth.

It would be better to start with a set of abilities that's balanced without actually crippling being useful, then make up a class, than to try and pick abilities to match a 'best-of' selection from D&D.

*Also, homebrew doesn't count. Most of the bard list is support-based for a reason. They're also behind wizards and so forth for spell progression.

Your list of abilities, broken up:
Combat training (rusty, but there)
Invisibility
Magic Blast
Stun
Sleep Gas
Speed Boost
Healing and Stamina Increase

Plus a poison dagger. It's... rather overly versatile? You've got a few things that help others, but you're pretty frontloaded on sheer offence.
I think the idea is just to avoid the first edition multiclass bard's "I am good at everything" bit that would imbalance things. Being a jack of all trades would naturally sacrifice some competency and, well, we've got a rounded party. XD
Did you miss the part where a class is simply a description of the character's abilities? Picking a class choice doesn't mean you're better than whatever other noun someone chose.

It's not uncommon for people from a certain culture to go against its values; take NEETs in Japan which come from a very hardworking culture or people raised in highly religious communities and become atheists. It's definitely not crazy for someone to go against cultural values.

It is for them to go against every bit of a culture and get an intense hatred of the entire thing.

... and NEET is an English acronym. I assume you mean hikikomori, which isn't a relevant example at all.
