Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

  • Name: Jennifer (Jen) White
  • Age: 16
  • Gender: Female
  • Personality: Being blunt and rather tactless, it could be fair to declare a block of cheese as having more social awareness than Jennifer does, though there's nothing particularly malicious about her. Sarcasm and wordplay also tend to go far over her head, unless it comes to insults--and she's quite prickly, though nowhere near as much as her hatred of bullying. On a more positive side, she's cheerful, friendly, and tends to do everything at two hundred percent enthusiasm--with an inside voice just loud enough to be too loud without actually shouting.
Possibly a bit too easy to provoke into a fight, though...
  • Skills: Jen is accomplished at using a medieval Western sword, having been trained to expect using one since she was a child. She's athletic in general, however, and about as competent when it comes to just brawling in general--but refuses to give sports clubs the time of day even when people actually ask her.
Since her mother tends to work odd hours, she can cook reasonably well and isn't averse to trying something new if given some directions how to make it. Her only stand-out skill in cooking is when it comes to preparing ingredients; she seems to have a naturally affinity for blades.
  • Equipment: A Divine Gear that calls upon the myth of Excalibur. Jen's pretty sure it's the oldest Divine Gear that she's ever seen anyone actually use, so with the rather... antique-like styling, she tries to keep it out of view most of the time.
  • Abilities: Despite its age, her Divine Gear certainly shines... literally. Its second most effective use after being a sword is as an improvised torch, though instead of a constant steady light it can produce a bright, blinding flash to create an opening. Its most notable ability is that the blade can line itself with holy light, increasing its cutting ability... and leading Jen to boast that there's nothing her blade can't cut.
For something based on Excalibur, it's almost disappointingly low-key and mundane. That's fine by Jen, she'd rather rely on her ability with a sword before fancy attacks.
  • Brief Backstory: Born in England, with her father coming from a family with a long history of Ritual Technology use, it was only when her father passed away due to illness that her mother moved back to Japan, bringing Jennifer and her father's Divine Gear along. In the past few years, she's worked on making friends and fitting in as best as she can. This didn't go too well at first, with her missing a lot of school and getting in fights, but since attending Otsuki she's... mostly calmed down.
Jen's grasp of the written language is still somewhat poor and her academic results tend to reflect that (and her lack of attendance) unless you ask her about Ritual Technology; it was her father's job and he made sure to teach Jen about it.
Interested.
Archer

Archer took up a station leaning against a door, thinking about how to best answer their Master's questions, "Well, I didn't steal this from somebody... I made sure to pay the shop I took everything from. It would have been more convenient if they were open this late but I had to take what I could get."

As for the situational report... "I saw a man walking through the forest as I was leaving, but there's no way to tell if he was just someone going for a midnight stroll. If he shows up again, it might be worth treating him as an enemy."

Izisviel von Einzbern

"Do you understand the basic rules established for previous Grail Wars, Saber?" Izisviel asked, draining her cup and putting it aside for the moment, "They are to be kept away from public view and if this should require the death of an unfortunate bystander, then that is our obligation. If things get too out of hand, then the Mage's Association could decide to take extreme measures to prevent things from becoming common knowledge."

Of course, the town was rather on the large side for something like that to be chosen... but with the threat of violent magical retribution being taken against an entire town, it was better to play things safe. Particularly with many in the Mage's Association still wanting to see the war put to a halt.
Sir Artorias

Artorias surmised from the single word answer that the man had given that he was an ally of theirs: no-one else would have a reason to produce that name when challenged for their presence. Strange that he seemed ready to fight back against a group such as theirs; though he had a sword, without any further protections, to engage in a battle of blades would have been an ill-fated decision.

The knight dropped from the fence, his companion having trailed out of the building after the group and clearing the defence to sit beside their master as the somewhat tense staring contest continued, finally confirming what Goldibanned had implied: "Then thou art an ally of ours, despite this dismal first meeting. Our single trail is to find a 'terrorist' group."

Embedding his sword point-first in the earth to free a hand to point, Artorias began to introduce the rest of their little party, starting with himself--as Sir Artorias, naturally--and finishing with lowering his hand to stroke the oversized wolf besidehim, "... and this is Sif."

Kohinata Miku

"It would only be a few words," Miku pointed out, frowning a little at Hibiki's belief that she couldn't keep herself safe despite evidence to the contrary. Yet the idea of being subtle went completely out the window as they moved on and the sound of fighting began to pick up again, though the black-haired girl opted to stay out of her transformed state because running was a lot more useful than flight in corridors.

Then they found one of the fighters; the man stood in the middle of a surprisingly intact room. Despite his clear displeasure and feeling somewhat intimidated by the mask--oversized swords being nothing new after hanging around Tsubasa--there was no reason to assume that he would be treating them as an enemy. Especially if they were polite first.

"Could you please tell us the way out?"
Archer

Slipping inside, Archer sought a suitable place to sit--eventually opting to slouch against the wall in protest against the lack of high-backed chairs, as well as favouring the rebellious air it gave off--and looked at their Master seriously, "How's the disguise look? I suppose it would be expected for you to see through it... but do you think it would be out of place in this city?"

It was, after all, an important question: even if the disguise was pretty much impenetrable, it would still be a pretty bad one if it didn't fit the surroundings; this was why the Servant had endeavoured to look as much of a tourist or journalist as possible. Exactly the sort of person that would raise no eyebrows snooping around a coastal town, even one without much to make it notable. Every information seeker had to start their career somewhere.

Izisviel von Einzbern

Shrugging off her Servant's... strange interest in the amusement park as an incidental side effect of having been introduced to the entire concept not even half an hour ago, the homunculus once again picked up her tea, looking into the shallow pool of green before answering. Had she really drunk the entire thing so quickly? Lotus would have to make some more, then, if the pair of them were to continue their discussion into the night.

"As the terrain benefits Servants with ranged abilities and the enclosed spaces would benefit an ambush or being cornered, I shall make sure to avoid the area unless strictly necessary."

Izisviel had no idea why that would ever be the case.
Artorias the Abysswalker

"I shall endeavour to prevent any harm occurring to either party," Artorias stated, affirming his duty as a knight to protect those that he was allied with--though, at the same time, it was probably a poor idea to question strangely armed strangers appearing in the middle of nowhere. One of those supposed to aid them against whatever ailed this world had run off shortly after their arrival and it was possible that they had returned.

With that, the knight rose and rushed for the gates before the more... mercenary (or outright insane) members of their group could do so, jumping to balance precariously on the entrance and looking down at the vampire before him, silently challenging the vampire to explain his presence here... and prepared to strike with full force if he made an offensive move towards the humans.

Artorias' sheer size was probably something of a natural counter to that.

Kohinata Miku

Miku had no chance to suggest anything to Hibiki before, as usual, being caught up in the more hectic girl's wake, but had the presence of mind to change out of her transformed state once they were clear of the room. If their escape was noted, the Symphogears' rather indiscreet appearance would make it much easier to find and track them down before they found the people that they'd been separated from.

"We should try and be subtle, Hibiki."

If that was a word in her vocabulary. Despite being childhood friends, Miku really wasn't sure...
If I, say, jump to be over whatever entrance this facility has (I think it has a gate?), will I see someone molesting/assaulting/fucking a guard? >.>
... my post would require knowledge of what's actually going on there. Waiting for a new post would be somewhat problematic. Especially if it's a change to 'only about to kill Ted', because then we go back to problem number one.
Izisviel von Einzbern

The catacombs were certainly something to consider as a base of operations--particularly if anyone with links to the Church got involved, because they'd have a much better time justifyiing their presence down there than the majority of mages. Seconds ticked by as the homunculus placed her tea aside and looked at her Servant, the only sound being the maids moving about elsewhere in the property. The silence, of course, had to be broken.

"How could an amusement park possibly be relevant to the war?"

Archer

Wandering through the darkened streets, Archer was definitely getting an idea of the town's layout--though not enough to start preparing traps. Nor would it be prudent to set up scenarios for eliminating the other Servants without at least consulting the magus responsible for their summoning; though it would be nigh impossible for the girl to be threatened if they stayed apart, it would be a poor showing of loyalty to completely ignore them for the duration of the War.

Consequently, the redhead kept their eyes peeled for the signal whilst wandering through residential areas, picking up the pace whenever they were certain that nobody--except maybe Assassin, who was hardly an issue--would notice the speed of their movement. It was a dull thing to be doing but, in the end, a certain charm in red gave the best idea of where their Master could be found.

And therefore, Archer jumped, alighting on the windowsill... and knocking on the glass. Hopefully, Yumiko would be able to put together who could possibly be at their window at this time of day... or balancing outside the window at all.
Alright. How's this. You guys show up and I'll have it that Mithias didn't actually kill Ted. Good?

So, um... about editing that post, then?
