Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Nursery Rhyme had the excuse of everything else in Extra: it's not actually a Servant. Like everything else in Extra, it's just the product of the Moon Cell--there's absolutely zero chance of an actual Ryougi Servant (whoops) because that would require her third personality to be okay with such a thing, which seems absurdly out of character. Plus Nursery Rhyme is sort of an... inverse? A normal Servant's legend is represented by their NP, but Nursery Rhyme is the CREATION of the NP. Odd but somewhat understandable.

"Let's have immortal unkillable Divine Spirits ineligible in every way be Servants": lazy.
/SN didn't forget it could be turned off. Illya was said to be intentionally keeping it active at all times as payback for how much supporting Herc actually hurts (childish but... the obvious) whilst /Zero was stuck with Lancelot being emo. xD

Can't comment on good writing, because... untranslated mobile game. With some vague idea that things should be accepted as canon or something because they're there, even if they aren't necessarily written or directly supported by Nasu... eugh. And if they are, then yay: canon lockout if you're not able to speak the language despite awareness of it anyway! One of my problems with CCC*. : D

* Bathory and the grotesque Sakura things I forgot the name of are the other. :T
"I have come to report on the progress of our investigation," the purple-haired girl said, "It appears that the thief made their way past the defences by displacing the walls. Moreover, one of their displacements failed in a manner that brought the wall into contact with the library. We have also found indications that the infiltrator was an onmyouji, blonde, and most likely barefoot." So far, Ryuuko had simply stated everything that their investigation of the vase's defences had yielded.

"By tracing the bloodstains that our thief left, I came across this maid and her nails. She seems to have no recollection of having placed the nails but if you inspect her forehead..." the heiress continued, pushing the maid towards Tomoko.
The whole point of Herc is to be Berserker (and he displays some personality despite it all, albeit better in the VN). I'm not saying that it's a case of "the designs aren't bad", because so many of the designs are awful, but there's a tendency for characters to be Heroic Spirits without rhyme or reason on top of the awful writing and crap abilities. When you're turning people like Marie Antoinette, who didn't do anything into Servants, you've gone wrong. Oh, and baseless genderflipping.
It's also got large amounts of "this shouldn't be a Servant", "this breaks the rules of the setting", and "those abilities are bullshit". Oh, and "hey, let's have things possess characters rather than bother with new designs", despite the fact gods can't be Servants and this would give a hero older than Gilgamesh. Kind of a lot of the game is character design, therefore...

Too much is farmed out to random people. <_<

And the /GO animation isn't going to be up to the standard of the other recent things. Different studio. :T
She would have to convince Fanilly to let her beat the idea of 'listening to your seniors' into some of these knights' heads when they got back to Candaeln; the impetuous idiots had started a completely unnecessary fight and were already going for lethal blows when there was any doubt to the contrary. The mercenary's revealed name raised the possibility of its being truth: though she didn't know of the girl in any detail, there hadn't been reports of her attacking Thaln's soldiers before, even whilst operating in Thaln.

Protecting Fanilly wasn't a high priority right now, since the mercenary was using the blunted end--though most might find that a hard detail to pick up in the heat of battle. It might even work as some good practice for the captain. This freed Tyaethe up to do something that looked like it might be more important in this chaos of a battle: protect the mercenaries from the other knights. And the fastest way to do that would be to shut down the battle entirely.

Now, the two ways to do that would be to either knock out anyone that let their guard slip for a second and wait for everyone to wake up again or to prove that they didn't have a reason to be fighting in the first place.

The paladin dismounted. Walking through the field of battle, she kept away from the places the knights had already engaged the mercenary band and kept heading towards the fort's doors. Short of the half-giant ignoring his attackers to focus all his attention on Tyaethe, she wasn't going to stop even if injured. Then, knowing that they were already open, she shoved them wider as hard as possible.
I think it would make less sense for me to like it. :T
I dunno, it sounds like an appropriate end to a mess of a year.

"... Miss, you are coming with me to your employer," Ryuuko stated, hand sliding down to take the maid's wrist. It was unlikely that she would resist too much but her other hand didn't stray from the handle or her blade, just in case, "I believe that she might be able to explain your memory problems."

Normally, the purple-haired girl would have turned around and gone to Toshiko instead but the redhead was conducting her own investigations. Moreover, there were still some questions that needed to be asked of Daidouji and they were closer to the library, if she recalled the way correctly. Maid in tow, Ryuuko continued on her initial path.
