@BurningDaisies A mute character would be more trouble than it's worth. Playing it in a way that it's relevant but not ignored by default, both in the sense of being understood and contributing, is more or less impossible.

It's understandable, but unless someone's inviting criticism, then it's generally advisable to let the GM have the first say. xD
@byteoflogic I would refrain from giving unsolicited commentary unless it's badly needed--i.e., outright duplication of powers.
Would Nero get to be overbearing? It was one of the funnier things in Extra that you're saddled with a Master that can't really say 'no' to her. xD
And bear in mind that these are starting abilities. It's possible to build up to something far more powerful over time.

@NightinGem You could have just stopped at "the ability's too broad and too powerful, and the character's got no drawbacks to balance it". Brevity is valuable. :p

NPC's and GMing. I don't think this is a setting I can get away with trying to do two jobs at once, particularly if I need to develop something like the local fighter's guild.
