Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Seems fine now.
The start of the Holy Grail War should have been far different--that was the opinion of Tohsaka Shion. The past few months should have been spent seeking out the most potent of catalysts for her heir, planning and preparing to take down the other six Masters before claiming the Grail and the ultimate prize. She had almost finished preparing an expedition to the Middle East before this betrayal. Instead... instead, one of the other family heads--and such a reliable one--had been taken out in the very ritual that he had assisted her in engineering, and the group of Masters assembled was sorely lacking in one thing...

Experience. Even the magus sent by Atlas was clueless, and she could only hope that the homunculus they were opposed to had every bit as little knowledge as the previous Einzbern Masters.

Thus, instead of beginning the war by scoping out the opposition through some means or another, her family's Servant's identity a closely guarded secret from all beyond it, the magus had granted their team a day to get to know their Servants... before convening for a meeting the following afternoon. It was her hope that they could function as a team, but in the worst case scenario, then at least everyone would be able to identify who was an ally in the fight ahead.

Now, the chances of everyone staying for long enough to formulate a plan would be helped by food and drink; even famous heroes could surely enjoy a bit of hospitality. With Shion's interests, this only meant one thing... an afternoon tea. Dainty cucumber sandwiches, a selection of fluffy sponge cakes, scones with all the attendant requirements... and of course, tea itself. Black tea, with milk, not anything more Japanese. Perhaps it was a bit juvenile to indulge her interests like this, but...
An offer to share warmth, eh...? Well, despite her small size, she did feel remarkably warm, particularly compared with the outside temperature... "I'll be happy to share as much warmth as you like, Lancer." And that was enough teasing for now, though something told Nero that she should keep an eye on the very-pink girl. For instance, at this distance, it was impossible to miss where she was looking when snacks were mentioned. For someone that wasn't a vampire, it was still a bit of a concerning gaze. Someone else might have gotten the benefit of the doubt that they were only concerned about theft, but this one...

"I don't know what we could expect in terms of food, but I think we have time to see what we can find for ourselves and our Master."
Accepted.

Now everyone pair up. :p
All three Masters accepted.

One... two... three four fivesixse--It was the same as ever with fairies. Find one and then more and more would crawl out of nowhere. Unfortunately, her other favourite fact about fairies didn't apply in this situation: ignore them long enough and they would get bored and leave you alone. Instead, they were having to work with the fairies... which meant a lot of opportunities for them to go through everyone's pockets and make off with anything that wasn't properly attended to.

Not that they couldn't be amusing sometimes, but she'd lost her lunch to them in the past. She'd made sure nothing was easily taken this time.
"Me, useful against bandits?" Jiro asked, pointing at herself. Even if it weren't for the sudden unexpected change in height and gender, well... a salaryman wasn't exactly equipped for medieval combat, regardless of the lack of fear death could instil compared to project deadlines. "I couldn't say that I'm any more in the know or more useful in combat than our musician friend here..."

A point that was promptly undermined when the man's violin chose to display magical properties, helpfully slowing the onrushing tide long enough for the dragon girl to sort through her conflicted thoughts. Her common sense was telling her to run like hell, but her instincts were saying that these things were little more than nuisances. Given the presence of the mystical floating violin, Jiro opted to listen to instincts over common sense, which were suggesting very strongly something like getting onto hands and knees.

But if you listened to one instinct, it was hard not to listen to the others, which saw the comparatively diminutive red dragon bound from her starting position and onto one extremely confused and unfortunate goblin, throat pinned under one claw as she sniffed it curiously. Not a pleasant smell, but interesting--much more than the former office worker would have expected. And one squeeze meant a lot of holes in the goblin throat, too...

Though now she was rather far forward compared to the others, and it seemed likely the goblins would get over any fear of sudden dragons when they realised it was about the size of an mule. Naturally armoured or not, there were lots of them and the soft, vulnerable parts of this dragon weren't entirely out of reach.
Kiyohime is accepted.

Genghis's sword NP still needs fixing. Or explaining. "I presided over the deaths of an entire city!" does not have a connection with lasers. And I've mentioned to you that the Tohsaka backstory needs some work.

EDIT: Genghis is accepted.

With Miku pointing at it, there was no way that Hibiki could miss the silhouette of a truly oversized wolf bounding from rooftop to rooftop. Far more normal than the Noise, true, but an animal of that size could only be dangerous... as confirmed when an oddly silent biker rode up with a written warning. Not that the gear user was going to take such a warning as applying to herself. Tell Miku to stay safe? Yes. Immediately transform and take off in the same direction as the creature, right past the girl shaking a vending machine? Also yes.

Giant wolf or not, she ought to be able to catch up to it. Maybe if she got up to the rooftops herself...

"It would be wrong to assume that anyone with the power to do something must have a reason for it. it is equally common that some powerful Beyondian would stir up trouble only because they wanted to entertain themselves or by not considering the consequences of their actions to be important. In this case, it would seem unlikely that anyone is unaware, but we don't know enough to rule out their interventions being for more than amusement's sake," the redhead said, disagreeing with Sanaki's swift conclusion that it must be some elaborate plan. "And because of that, we should be careful not to focus too much on what would help Altair. If someone else with worse intentions was to find out which property I signed for as an office, we might find ourselves caught unawares, or walking into a trap."

"Communicating with phones should work as well as magic."

The vampire rolled her eyes as yet another one walked out of the conference. They really were children, weren't they? Not that she could blame them, the conversation was boring if you had no interest in participating. Though the promise of refreshments was at least a reason to sit through it until she had something better to do. Though by now, Evangeline's disinterest was rapidly apparent, the short blonde sat crosslegged on her chair and paying more attention to the sadly empty cup in front of her.
All three accepted.
