It’s none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier.

“There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.”

Wow, all things considered, I hope everything is okay.

We'll see you when we see you :)
Name: Czigani Novikov

Age: 26

Gender: F

Appearance/Description: Taller than an average female, Czi has always had a slender body, small breasts, and stocky thighs, taking after her mother. A few tribal tattoos adorn her neck and shoulder, something she some regretted having done, but aren’t going away anytime soon. Her clothing is generally simple and comfortable “street” clothes, taking jeans and a t-shirt, over anything more extravagant. Her auburn hair was always changing, tending toward a shaved undercut look, allowing one side to stay longer and straight.

Height: 6’1
Weight: Approx 150lbs

Personality: Czi has a tough exterior, and is even harder to please, making it a challenge to get through to her at times. She tends to come off as pushy and impatient with most people. Although if she considers you a friend, then she will have your back no matter what.

Occupation/Skills: Her Ruska Roma (“Russian Gypsy”) heritage is full of musicians, dancers, artisans, and general tinkers, and Czi is no different. Her love of music has kept her financially afloat for many years, focused mainly on the fiddle or violin, you would find her performing in public squares, or private events if the money was right. In addition, she is trained in moderate self defense techniques, namely Krav Maga, which her grandfather passed onto her as a teenager and something she has continued to develop.

Bio: Czigani’s early life had been relatively normal and uneventful, not much different than most children growing up in Boston’s lower income neighborhoods. Her parents, both of whom were Russian immigrants of Romani heritage, moved to the United States just before their daughter was born, where they lived and worked a handful of jobs to make ends meet. Her father also played guitar in the surrounding pubs, sharing traditional Roma music fused with modern current jazz influences. It was a love of music that carried over to their daughter, as she took comfort and joy in stringed instruments, focusing on the violin.

In her late teens, both of her parents were brutally beaten and murdered by a hate mob, and the tragedy altered her life and general disposition toward society, causing her to climb into herself, shying away from the world for years. It wasn’t until her grandfather, who had already lived in America, came to visit Czigani and re-awakened her spirit once again. He taught her how to defend herself, so she would never become a victim to the wretch and prejudice of society, like her parents had. Her grandfather also shared a history of her Romani lineage, which stretched as far back as the eighteenth century, and were filled with mystical and supernatural secrets that she only thought of as folklore and children’s bedtime stories.

Her time had come eventually, that all cards would be laid out on the table, and her fate sealed for an eternity. On a cool fall evening, Czi held an impromptu performance on the patio of a small Russian-American restaurant she was acquainted with, flawlessly playing many cultural favorites to a large crowd, many of whom had immigrated from Eastern Europe. What started out as a peaceful time of good food, drink, and music, ended in a swift and violent stroke of confusion, as a team of undercover police officers stormed through every entrance and opening, brandishing assault weapons, yelling out commands, and pinning random people down onto tables and against walls. Czigani didn’t run, as many had, but rather stood her ground, protecting many of the children from the raid taking place. She had no idea what was happening, but at that moment, the fear that kept her heart pumping wildly, was replaced with a rage that she could not control. Her face and body burned with a passion and adrenaline foreign to her, and the realization didn’t hit her until she’d suddenly snapped from whatever spell she had been under, and stood with several weapons pointed at her, and the bloodied remains of an officer at her feet. The violin that once produced beautiful music only moment prior was broken into countless pieces with remnants of shiny darkwood stuck in the side of the dead officer’s skull, and the bow was lodged halfway into his brain by way of his eye. The tools of her happiness had ultimately become weapons of her destruction.

Czi fell to her knees without even being told to do so, as the horrors of the evening came flooding in all at once, and she sobbed uncontrollably. Tears that, since that terrible night, had never been shed for anyone...or anything.

Welcome to your new adventure, as you slip into the role of a human being that has been tainted with the spirit and blood of the werewolf, causing a slow manifestation that will run its course and unfold throughout the story. You’ve either been born with the blood in your veins, passed down by a lineage lost to you, or were bitten by another werewolf in the past, but either way were unaware of the curse living inside you. Your journey starts out in a less than desirable place, a prison, or to be more specific, Bridgewater State Hospital in Southeastern Massachusetts, which had a long history of cruel and unusual conduct against inmates, according to media sources and patient complaints going as far as back as the turn of the 20th century. Speculation has also suggested that the place was haunted, perhaps by long dead patients or psychopathic spirits with nothing better to do, but regardless, madness took hold and warped an already skewed perspective. So the question is, whose story can you believe as fact?

Your crimes, whatever they may be, must have been fairly intense earning you a spot among the Hospital's guests as the state deemed you “criminally insane” and in dire need of long-term treatment and rehabilitation. Lucky you. What the hospital personnel aren’t aware of, however, is the deep-seeded creature that lurks just below the skin, waiting for it’s moment to be free from a timeless slumber...

Reference Notes (adding as story progresses):

- Hospital is quite crowded, so you'll see a lot of various patience, plenty of opportunity to get creative.
- It's in severe disrepair
- Most of the staff is overworked and underpaid
- Armed guards patrol the hallways
- This is not a happy place in the slightest

- The sedatives may only last a few hours before Kelly really has full control of her body and senses.

- This is really a period of exploration, so do what you want, but keep in mind the security measures and RP them accordingly.

- Your senses are slowly becoming more acute, so things like smells are much stronger, and sounds a normal person wouldn't hear tend to be more prominent.

- Self control (to a degree) is becoming much more difficult as your body and mind are going through the slow processes, so she is more prone to violent streaks, more out of instinct than anything else (think of a cornered wild animal).

- As the change progresses within, others start to become uncomfortable in your presence, especially during stressful moments.

- Her body is now able to purge the sedatives quicker, so she is coming around now.

- Her eyes were opened the whole time, but her body was unresponsive. Since her vision is much more acute, she saw the tattooed guy swipe Jimmy’s card when he walked by him.

- Part of her is feeding off the fear of the kid, almost like it’s a high. But the other half of her is still frightened and confused, especially as her head begins to clear.

- So, since Kelly & Czi's interactions, Kelly has more or less locked onto her scent and can use that as a means of tracking if she chooses.

- Keep in mind that her senses are heightened, so any sounds (i.e. footsteps around a corner) can be heard much clearer giving her time to react, etc.

He's just making sure we're physically fit enough when we get to Harlan, because all they do there is run...or so I've heard O.o
@Remipa Awesome

And in the event it falls off, there's always speech-to-text apps that work wonders!

Oh shut up, you know you all were thinking the same thing! ;)
Got a post in the works now for Harlan. Thursdays I'm going to make a post for Buckhead.

At this point, should we wait until you post for Buckhead before we three post again?
@Subject Zero

Awesome, we're all wanting to move things along...

I feel content with this one for awhile methinks until something else shiny and new catches my fancy!

Fixed! ;)
@frapet I'd say just go ahead and push forward since I think those of us who are remaining don't have anything real substantial to post at this time.

And @POOHEAD189, stop changing your avatar, dammit! ;)

j/k....

...but really, stop.
There it was. Jennifer’s hand reaching out for Vincent to grab it, and yet for a split second there was hesitation. He was afraid of touching her, considering the havoc she had to endure the last time their hands met, but maybe this was different. His powers, or whatever they were, seemed to be in some kind of hibernation and what was replaced was more a calmness of mind. The creatures within weren’t restless, trying to break themselves free of their host, nor were the nightmarish visions filling his head with nonsense. For all intends and purposes, he felt normal for the first time in the last couple of days, and for once he had hoped there was an end to all of this madness.

Vin smiled as he took hold of Jennifer’s hand, which felt cold to the touch, and he wrapped his hand tighter hoping to take away the chill. He looked over at Nate, who was leading them all into another room, and Vin couldn’t help but feel a bit apprehensive for allowing their lives to be in this kid’s charge. Nate seemed to live his life as though he had an infinite number, and maybe in a way he did, but why did he feel the need to put others in the same line of fire that he unquestionably dives head first into? Michaels words resonated with Vin stronger than he thought they would, and he hoped that the detective was wrong about their mutual acquaintance.

“Really? We’re supposed to play dress up now?”

Vincent scoffed at the idea as he held the bundle of clothes that would be used as his disguise, but shrugged, realizing that these were in fact desperate times. He quickly unbuttoned his shirt, and replaced it with the standard black ATL PD uniform top, which was a terrible fit, and continued on with the remaining clothes.

“Nate, c’mon bro...enough with the handcuffs.” He scolded Nate for even entertaining the idea of Jennifer posing as a prostitute. “Give her a break, alright?”
