Torok looks a few years older than he actually is, mostly because the lad stands now at 6’7” and weighs roughly 270 Lbs. rippled with muscles and a few scars. he sports a beard and blonde hair with black eyes.
RACE: Guardian Elemental (Stone and Nature)
SEXUALITY: Straight
FAMILY MEMBERS: Father - Victor Citadel (Elemental - Fire and Metal) Mother - Rose Citadel (Elemental - Nature and Water) Twin Sister - Sara Citadel (Elemental – precious stones and Metal)
HISTORY: Elementals are an old people created by old magic that has since long been forgotten. Every child is born with a random specialty as well as inheriting one lesser one from their parents. These specialties give them an advantage in controlling and learning how to use and maintain their ability’s faster than they can others. Elementals can only have children with other elementals and each pairing only ever has a set of twins, a boy and a girl. Torok is a rare elemental, a Guardian. This was something his parents were not all that knowledgeable about, for this reason and a few others they opted to send him to a “summer camp” when he turned 13 to learn how to control his ability’s.
Guardians are different from other elementals in one key aspect, where other elementals can eventually learn other elements, guardians can only use the two they were born with but form an almost otherworldly bond with those elements to the point where they can have two skins, and shape shift between them. Guardians form strong lasting bonds with places, things, and occasionally other beings as well, it normally takes some time for a bond to be formed but once it is it will last a lifetime. Guardians are protectors of the things they bond with, strong, daring, and courageous are some things one can be described as, but they can also be reckless, dangerous, and easily angered when the thing they are bonded with is threatened.
This bond is where Torok’s troubles began, his family lived in a small home in the wilderness of Wyoming, far from the prying eyes of others. This is where he made his first bond, he bonded quickly to the forest that surrounded his family’s home. Through his childhood he would spend days away from the house adventuring and exploring the woods getting a feel for nature and his surroundings. He never felt scarred in the forest, the animals never seemed to mind him as long as he respected them and their space. He was just more at home there then at home, everything was peaceful until he had his incident.
Torok was almost 13 his abilities were just starting to come out, and he was just beginning to become accustomed to them with the help of his mother and his father. Yet this chilly September day something was different, for him something felt off or wrong. After some time hiking he could hear it a long-drawn-out buzzing sound and the sound of trees falling. It didn’t take him long to find the team of loggers in the forest. Torok was confused at first his parents told him about what the humans did but said his area was protected that they couldn’t hurt this place. But here they were cutting down his beloved trees, they were his friends.
With fury and rage in his heart the boy lost control, unfortunately for him his emotions have a big part in his abilities and how they are used. A low grumble and shaking could be felt through the ground before suddenly from the tree line, a giant of earth and stone emerged from the forest near the loggers standing nearly 10 feet tall. It chased them back to their camp and their trucks, throwing stones while roots and plants grasped at them tripping them and pulling them into the ground. Before the group had even reached the camp half had been killed, either they succumbed to the plant life or were trampled by the giant. The giant eventually destroyed the camp letting only one of the loggers escape down the road in his truck. The giant didn’t do anything for a time, but his presence made the surrounding forest regrow while the earth slowly retook the campsite and the bodies leaving almost no trace that someone was there at all.
Piece by piece chunks of rock fell from the giant revealing the unconscious body of the boy, but he was not alone. Torok’s father had followed the sound of the roaring and saw the giant destroy the camp. For a moment the man thought that his son was controlling the giant or another Elemental or druid had made its way into the area. However, the man was stunned for a moment when he witnessed his son appear from the stone giant. There was a lot of excitement in the area for a few months after that, search teams and reporters trying to find the missing loggers that were logging illegally in the forest.
For the rest of the year Torok became withdrawn, he didn’t understand what he was and his parents didn’t know what to do. He has dreams and nightmares of what he did but doesn’t remember what he did. Eventually his parents found out about the summer camp and sent him and his sister there. The first summer he was there he barely spoke a word and didn’t participate in most exercises or classes. The next year he was a bit more attentive but still withdrawn, the camp counselors were nice and patient always giving him his space and waiting for him to come around. After all, they were aware of what had happened to him. Now he’s not as withdrawn and this summer he thinks he may be able to open up a little more, his sister got what she needed from the camp and his parents did not believe that she needed to go this year. So this year Torok would be alone to face his problems on his own.
Personal Information
PERSONALITY: on the outside he can be rather monotone and neutral, his emotions influence his abilities and he has a very good grasp on them so far. He is a patient and quiet person that doesn’t talk too much, he can be a bit awkward around others. However, he is a passionate person when it comes to the things he cares about and once you break through his tough exterior one would find a warm caring heart that only wants to help and protect even if at times he can act wiser than his age would warrant.
POWERS: Torok is a bit stronger than humans and has a bit more stamina, he can manipulate stone and earth as well as nature, plants and animals. Some of these manipulations require him to have some sort of movement the more complicated it is, while other smaller manipulations require no movement at all just some concentration. However, as stated before his emotions influence his ability’s greatly and if the emotion is great enough then he just might lose control.
HOBBIES: Singing and playing the guitar was something he picked up during his first year. Sculpting was something he learned during his second year. Being in nature as much as he can, whether it be swimming (For him it’s sinking slowly) or a hike.
ANYTHING ELSE WORTH MENTIONING: Ever since his first year he’s had a slight crush on one of the councilors, Kalliphae Adams, she was one of the first people to get him to show off what he could do and always seemed to have good advice. But mostly it was because she would talk to him even if he never said a word.
The blonde didn’t seem to put off about him being awkward and at the very least he got her name. With a firm but quick hand shake she moved off with the rest of the crowd moving toward the barracks. That women will surely be something, he thought to himself and shrugged off the part about the German. Victor knew that it would be awkward as it is with all things, tolerating the German would be one thing but making friends with one he could already see that it would be an unpopular decision with the others. From what she said and her body language regarding that fact he could already tell that most of the others felt the same way as she did.
He waited for the bulk of the crowd to go before following, he never really knew why he didn’t like crowds he was sure it had something to do with being dangerous or something. Another strange thing he noticed was many of the officers and other staff wore lab coats and looked more like scholars than soldiers. One in particular called out to him as he was passing, “Private Victor Asimov” the officer spoke. Stopping mid step to snap to attention, the Officer didn’t even look just reading over some papers on a clipboard, “Follow me” Victor nodded, “yes sir.”
He followed the officer through halls, past bunks and offices till they reached a small examination room, “Have you looked through your Equipment yet?” the officer asked as he began looking through some cabinets, “No sir, I have not looked through my file yet” the officer turned his head to look at Asimov over his shoulder, “you should, while I look for your supplements.” Victor quickly opened the folder he had been holding onto and began to read through it.
Medical records, criminal history if any, family members and their backgrounds, education and skills. Then at the back was a tab for Experimental equipment, a very detailed and in-depth look into his life even stating some psychological issues and possible risks. The tab for his equipment however had a plain sheet on top stating that any misuse or loss of documents could result in prison time or death. As he flipped through the pages and diagrams of the Hydraulic Assisted Armored Platform he was to be using, he barely registered that the officer was talking to him, “Hey kid, come on, did you see what I mean?” all the officer got in reply was a nod.
“Good, I am Doctor Petkovic, I will be overseeing your medical progress through your muscle stimulants. The gear you have is heavy and at the current rate of things strength needs to be your priority followed closely by stamina.” The Doctor placed a syringe with a clear liquid on a sterile metal plate as well as a small glass bottle full of small white square pills, “the serum you are going to be given is… experimental and you will have side effects, we are still unsure of the long term effects. It is designed to tear down your muscles while simultaneously repairing them, thus making your muscles denser and you stronger, you were chosen for this because of your age mostly and your size.” Petkovic paused for a moment holding the syringe in hand, “For a few weeks you can expect to have your muscles be sore and feel like they are on fire, you should also expect your heart to feel funny at times but it should be alright, another thing to expect is well you will be hungry and even though I do believe you should be eating another meal, rations are still low.” he paused for another moment as he stepped up next to Victor, “Do you have any questions?” Victor was silent for a moment, he didn’t look at the doctor just at his hands, “can I operate the armor without it?” another pause as the doctor thought about it, “not very well” He sighed then looked up at the man, “Then do it.”
A sharp prick of the needle and a slight burning sensation that slowly made its way down his arm and around his body, and he was done. The doctor handed him the pills in the bottle, “I can’t give you pain killers or alcohol because of the injection but these pills will help with the muscle growth.” The doctor grabbed the bottle handing it to the boy and pausing, “Now don’t go getting to overzealous this stuff doesn’t make you super human or anything. All it really does is take more of the load off your back. at best it will give you above average strength” he turned away from victor and retrieved the clipboard flipping through a few pages he finally spoke again. “Take one pill at night before you go to sleep and I will check up on you once a week from here on out, you are dismissed” again victor nodded and left heading back through the hall ways to his bunk.
He walked quickly down the halls moving to the side of other officers and soldiers as he looked for room 5. When he finally found it he noticed that neither of the beds had been used and both had portions of soup siting on wooden plates. He knew which one was his as whoever brought their personal effects in had left his sword leaning against the foot board. Placing the small bottle of pills on a nearby shelf he gripped the handle of his sword placing it on another shelf next to his bed. He stopped for a moment, all he could do or that one moment was look around the room. He sighed for a moment letting his anxiety pass before taking the bowl of soup and sitting down on the bed before he began to eat.
However if the others dont respond this rp is still not a faliure as a squad does sometimes consist of very few personel and we can always pick more up as we go. @LetMeDoStuff
