@Riven Wright that is, in fact, the point of door-to-door proselytizing; membership retention. Deliberately put into uncomfortable interactions with outsiders, make them scared to leave The Group

I just saw the new Masters of The Universe, would recommend, especially if, like me, you were in the target audience back in the 1980's

Bio
Bios are stupid; oh, sure, everyone can see them, but I bet nobody reads them.
Rude hand gestures and shpadoinkle, there.
No, I wasn't drunk when I wrote this, but I was very tired.
@RickyG85 Looks good, but I feel the backstory could use a little more polish. Also the first obstacle we'll be dealing with is a village of Goblimon causing issues, so a Goblimon being his partner could be handled in several different ways.
Ok, to me polished is a matter of detail, so what in particular needs work for the Backstory? Do you feel it's lacking a particular detail?
Personality: Rick isn't antisocial, but a loner by choice. He enjoys hiking, and urban exploration, activities where he can test himself and prove that he's capable, even if only to himself. He's often quiet at first, but speaks up more as he get's comfortable with a person.
Background: Rick comes off as a very humble boy. The humility was just an act, however- really, he just didn't want to draw attention to himself. His aim was to be less of a target to his bullies, but it would actually have the opposite effect. His self tought "parkour" was a product of a persistent bully situation. He's never told anyone, but there's a "gang" that likes to chase him, and they've taken every chance they could find since he was 9. This is also why he first got into hiking with a school club; "the wilderness" was a place where he knew that his bullies wouldn't find him. As mentioned, he hasn't told anyone about this- he didn't want to worry his mother(a nurse), and doesn't want his father(a firefighter) to think him a coward. He doesn't want anyone to pity him, and he fears it'll get worse if he tells his teachers. So, he keeps others at arms length. Still, he wishes somebody would just have his back, and hasn't connected the dots on his self isolation; arms length is still within reach- he just has to reach out.
Y'all remember Thundercats? Well, Tigersharks was pretty similar, and from the same creators.
Look it up, but what I'm thinking is more inspired by the original rather than trying to recreate it outright.
The premise is that the main characters get whisked away to a pocket dimension on earth; the true location of Atlantis! There, they discover that they somehow have ancestral ties to this other world, and somehow, something opened the gates between worlds, drawing them back to defend it! Among other powers, each character would be able to transform into humanoids/humans with traits like sealife.
Special powers would not be accessible without transformation, and the transformation can't be sustained indefinitely.
