"Holy..." Vala managed to say just before the grenade went off and all her senses went into overdrive for a few moments and finally she was out cold on the floor. Luckily for hte guardsmen who had to carry her over, she wasn't overly giant and hard to carry. With her average height, the were going to have a easy time getting her from the meeting room to her quarters.

Unspecified time later.

"I'm going to kill that flat as plank bitch..." Vala groaned in pain as she stated to wake up from her forced unconciousness state. Her head was beating like she had a pair of Adeptus Astartes shooting heavy bolters in her head. She looked around painfully to confirm that indeed she was in her room. That...was...good.

With a pained struggle stood up, walking over to the tiny bathroom of her quarter, but not before pulling a small box from one of her pockets. From it she took a few pills that she quickly swallowed with some water from the tiny sink. Those were going to help with her headache, but until then she had no plans to leave her room. Instead swaying left and right she manged to move over to her workbench where she took a seat on her chair and slowly started to work on her new weapons. The parts indeed had been delivered as the Inquisitor said so at least she was able to continue her work of assembling her new prototype heavy artilery sniper lasrifle. This thing was going to be a beast once completed! She actually started making it specifically to take down heavily armored targets like Space Marines and she hoped she'd manage to finish it by the time they land. Sadly with the headache that she was suffering form right now, that probably wasn't going to happen.
Emprah text to speech device is bloody epic!!! So much truth told in that one!
“I suppose so.” Chalsea agreed when Adalia explained her duty towards the families of those who died. The nomad couldn’t completely say she had felt that also, but she had similar experiences. In fact too similar as she was reminded of her past, it hurt even now whenever she recalled it, as people used to say – time heals all wounds.” I’m sure they appreciate your sentiments. It will hurt for a while, but one day they will wake up and realize that life continues and they would be grateful that the queen herself paid her respect and thanks to those who laid their lives for this city.” Chalsea said softly as she was slowly noticing more and more people starting to talk, discuss and have a better time.

“Believe me, they are lucky to have you, Queen Adalia.” The mercenary stated with a smile.” For of all you are a strong fighter and leader so you provide safety and protection for those who are your subjects. Second the fact you are immortal actually means they will not have the bad luck of suddenly waking one day only to find your successor has none of your smarts or wisdom. Because that’s actually one of the causes other kingdoms periodically suffer downfalls whenever the hair of a good ruler turns out to be very…very bad.” The mercenary explained, clearly showing the benefits of Adalia’s immortality as a ruler.” Besides… if you were not here maybe this town would have been destroyed a long time ago. Orcs have been on the borders of your country for generations. My father used to say that only their fear of clashing with you kept them at bay. Though seems that’s no longer the case. In any way, we will get your troops in a complete fighting shape. There won’t be a second surprise attack like the first.” She added.

Suddenly Chalsea blushed quite very noticeably as she felt Adalia’s hand on her own and she was given quite the elegant compliments from the queen. Once more she just was not used to be talked as nicely as that and especially since the experience Adalia gave her earlier was still fresh in her mind. She couldn’t calm her heart for a moment as she looked to the side, frantically trying to think up something to reply with.” Th…t…thank … you…” She finally replied, looking down at the table, her cheeks clearly darker hues than before. She threw a look at where the witches were sitting and could see them giggling like mad, clearly amused at her situation.

“I’m... sorry for my attitude.” She eventually said to Adalia, taking a deep breath to calm down.” I’m not used to being talked and complimented quite like that, especially when dressed like this. I could feel the eyes and hear the whispers of people who look at me… My fault for great senses I gues.” She added, closing her eyes. She had clearly heard quite a few young men talk about how to approach her.” You caught my by surprise, Queen Adalia, please do not think I’m angry or something if I get quiet every now and then. I’ve just become to used to the warband camp manners… and anything like this feels new.” She added with another blushing smile.

She then took a sip from a cup of wine she had in front of herself as she glanced sideways to the witches again to check how they were doing. They were basically her little sisters so she couldn’t help herself, but worry about them, but it seems there was not a reason to worry, still it was nice to see their smiles.

Now that she had no one to worry about anymore and with the passing time as her heart calmed down and she got used to the situation she started to having more and more chats with people from the city, though she didn’t drink more alcohol beside her one cup of wine.

Despite how great the gathering was, eventually Chalsea felt like she needed to breath some air in a more quiet situation.” Excuse me for a moment. I will return in a little while.” She said as she stood from her place and swiftly distanced herself from the lively gathering into the dark alley not too far from it though. She calmly leaned her back on a wall and took a nice deep breath, taking a look at the sky. The moon had not changed… It was still as big and silver as she remembered it when she lived in the steppes as a child.

Amelia Payne

Location: Heard County High School

“That’d be great!” Amelia stated as she was told they would help her with getting better at fighting at the very least. That was one thing she was looking forward to now. It would raise her chances of survival in general and also make her a little more useful for those around her. So it only brought benefits for the moment and she liked that.

“Well it’s not like I actually know the man…” Amelia suddenly said with flustered voice that showed a few notes of shyness.” Besides he had a girl with whom we found him. So I imagine she’d be there with him for the moment…” She added, hiding her face for a moment with the cards she was holding, seemingly just studying them.” I think it’s better to not intrude… just because of my curiosity.” She added

“I’m fine with getting food though… though I was given food when I arrived a little while ago. Thus I’m not really hungry, but I will come with you two for company!” Amelia stated with voice that kind of showed she just didn’t want to be alone right now.

Satilla Valen

Location: By the Cave
Interacting With: Dreams! … NIGHTMARES!

After Skittle’s intervention in her sleep, Satilla’s nightmares did lessen their hold on her sleeping mind, but did not leave her completely. Now she was just quietly trembling in her sleeping spot, grasping subconsciously to the warm soft sensation against her neck that was Skittles. He was currently the only straw she could cling to in her nightmares.

Satilla wasn’t usually a person to get dragged down by her own nightmares like this. In fact she rarely even had those, but the last few days weren’t exactly how her usual experiences were. It probably was caused by the sudden change in situation, by stuff like being actually surrounded by a group of probably angry orcs and the fact they were in a fight not too long ago. Bad memories always seemed to resurface whenever she was in a stressful situation.

Still it was luckily nothing too big that would hinder her rest… much. Whenever her shift to stand on guard came, she'd be rested enough to complete it and luckily for her she'd have help in the form of her trusty companion of feline origins! Skittles the cat, woe the roddens that try to sneak on his watch!
@Lady Amalthea I guess I will take 3rd watch ^_^ also gona post now ;3
@Eisenhorn yep can't stop watching it. I have RPs in need of replying but I cant tear myself away.
