Current I mean, some people want to do it for the reason it’s supposed to be for, but it being all but outright mandatory, well.

@Ricky: I never thought about it like that, but it really can be, huh? I checked out the Mormons for a stint, and I can 100% see that being a reason behind them pushing that.

Tricks them into thinking it was their choice, when it was structured for them to fail.

The Amish doing that strikes me as a psychological way to keep people there. Isolate them > send them out > get culture shock > return to the comfortable rather than figure out a foreign culture.

Ashifa: Shoving/forcing the religion on someone isn't what Christianity should be about. I'm sorry if/that that's what's going on for you.

Oh! Fantastic! I'm content with my character. Thought I'd throw out the idea. :-)

@drallinix
Before killing him off and introducing a new character, what about trying to maybe modify him somehow (if GM approved, of course!)? I can see where that could be more difficult than just making a new one, though. *Shrugs.* Just a thought.
@Kirah
Gotchya. :-) I just wanted to make sure.

2. Goth culture wasn't a thing until the 80's...

3. ... I'd love to have more people join at this point because things have slowed down a lot and I'm worried about the RP dying (in part that is my fault sorry guys real life punched me hard recently (company closing, finding a new job, grandma-in-law died and a few other things that have messed with my free time))...

Well, then! I just learned something new. Do I need to make a change to my profile, then, or is it okay since I'm using it mostly on the fashion front and not so much the subculture? I have her as "somewhere between a Goth and a Nerd" under her "Personality" section mostly for her style choice, which goes along with her dragon aspect. Sorry, I seriously didn't know it wasn't a big thing until the 80s.

I'll try to get something up for Zay by the weekend's end. Honestly, I have either been busy, unmotivated, or unsure what to do with her at the moment. Ha.

Oh my gosh. I am so, so sorry that you have to go through all that. My condolences, and best wishes with finding a new job, my friend.
@shi12
What about seeing if anyone else might be interested first; maybe put the RP as open, then, if there aren't any takers, we non-GMs could make a new character each, or something?

@drallinix
Glad to know that you didn't fall off the face of the planet, at least... just the site. XD Hope you manage to find more downtime!
Anyone know if @drallinix is still alive?
Faira gave a humorless chuckle at Scarlet’s answer. “I hear that.” She glanced to Alexandria, the amazement of her ability of shapeshifting dulled by the fatigue lurking about her body from the mix of excessive adrenaline and frequent use of her powers.
“What?” Faira blinked at Rosaline when she made note of the missing girl before frantically looking around in search of her. She inhaled through her nose and scowled, scolding herself for not noticing it before.
What’d that wretch do with her? Her hands clenched at the thought of Marianne doing something to Little Ann, for once more concerned at Marianne’s absence than presence.
The loud crack of the nebula’s legs made Faira jump and spin around a moment before Rosaline collapsed to her knees.
“Rose!” Faira hurried to and knelt down beside Rosaline, her eyes widening at the unnerving sight of the cracks spreading dangerously through the doll-woman’s legs. She placed her borrowed sword on the floor and moved to place her hand on Rosaline’s shoulder, but hesitated. “Is… is there anything I can do?”
Her fingers balled into fists again and her concerned expression turned to mutual hatred at Rosaline’s question.
“More than anything,” she snarled, flames flickering involuntarily to life and wrapping around her fingers.
Her attention snapped up as Conna’Cel began to speak, declaring an error before rebooting.
What the… His secondary…? She forced her reluctant legs into a standing position, watching cautiously as Conna’Cel looked around. She startled back slightly as the usually stoic robot mimicked a cheerleader, and even laughed. She opened her mouth as if to say something, but closed it.
“Great,” she muttered after a moment. “Another person with a multiple personality disorder.” Hoping the relative cheerfulness of Conna’Cel’s “secondary personality” would hold, she let herself sink back to the floor beside Rosaline with a quiet groan.
With the conscious demand, Faira banished the small flames and glanced around the room. Her gaze settled on Alexandria. “Don’t suppose you could lead us to that--” Her words cut off as the little Marianne began to cough as consciousness returned to her.
Faira scowled, just the sound of the child’s voice making the hairs on the back of her neck prickle.
“You must be hearing things,” she muttered darkly with a hint of sarcasm. “Might want to get that checked.” She took a deep breath as she looked from young Marianne to Rosaline. “We need to find somewhere to rest, I think. Just for a while.”
She quietly hoped that the others would agree, her own aching body begging for even just ten minutes without running for her life or fighting off monsters… if such a thing were possible in such a madhouse.
Sorry, I've been busy as of late! I'll get a post up as soon as I am able. Hopefully before Monday.
@TheWindel

Hecks yeah! :-)
Congrats on the new job, @kittyluna45!

As always, I'm open for some sort of collab for between now and the Theater post if there is anyone interested or has an idea for something. :-)
