Aloha! 

Name's Riv. I'm in my 30's. They/Them. EST. Currently have a lot of extra time on my hands and would like to use it Rping. 
I prefer RPing over Discord, but PM's are also fine. I don't mind posts being like 2-3 paragraphs as long as I have something to work with. Not interested in a few sentences. Give me SOMETHING.
Longer posts tend to happen in intros. Or if setting up lore/world building stuff. I like writing 2-5 usually.
NSFW is fine. I don't always like it being the main part of the story, but sometimes do...depends.
I do have a chronic health issue that will sometimes take me out for a few days. I try to be communicative when that happens, but feel free to hit me up if it's been a few days and I haven't said anything. The number of times I post in a week is entirely dependent on what's going on. If I'm free? It could happen at least once or twice a day. If I am busy? Could take 1-2 weeks for a reply. I will still do OOC chatter in between posts as I can, though. Just harder to do longer posts.

1. Cyberpunk meets Sherlock Holmes meets Sabriel. !!!
MxM. Cyberpunk setting. Supernatural shenanigans with a mystery -- or multiple -- that need to be solved. I'd be playing a Sherlock-esque character: someone working as a private investigator on mysterious murders and disappearances in the city. They are an outsider of the city. They use a special kind of magic that seems to be a mix of old-world magic not seen in modern times and the dark arts of necromancy. An Abhorsen. They don't usually raise the dead physically -- usually -- but spirits can be very helpful in gathering information. 
Was thinking that your character is potentially a Detective assigned to the case and ends up working with them? A cop already on the case who doesn't believe in Supernatural stuff or magic until they see it firsthand? My character's Watson? Let's figure it out together!


2. Dishonored !!!!!
MxM 
Entirely ignoring the third game, so the Outsider is around. Not necessarily a big detail in the story. 
Emily and Wyman have had 2 children. Brothers. The oldest being Atticus and the younger being Marlow. 
A series of unfortunate events leads to Atticus taking the throne at the age of 16. At first, Marlow looked up to Atticus and would often come with him on his rooftop trips or following leads on old magic. But as the two got older, Marlow became more influenced by the Overseers, and his admiration for Atticus and his interests in the occult dwindled. Unlike Atticus, Marlow was more easily influenced by those around him, much to the frustration of those who wished Atticus would do their bidding versus his own.
Atticus found everything about the occult fascinating, though never truly interested in using it to hurt people, just more or less wanting to understand it and maybe find ways for it to benefit people. Atticus was never a conservative man, and even less so a conservative Emperor. 
Atticus did, however, gain the love and admiration of his people. He thought of those he saw on his rooftop runs and how the everyday people lived their lives or struggled to survive. He passed laws regarding working hours, pay, and treatment. He created soup kitchens that he often paid for himself, and listened to his people when they told him of their struggle. The wealthy paid their fair share of taxes, whether they wanted to or not. His people thrived. He rarely listened to the Aristocrats, which would eventually be his downfall. 
Elizabeth was a determined woman. When she couldn't get her hands on Atticus, she preyed upon his younger brother, Marlow. It was she who found the ritual that would lead to Atticus' imprisonment in the Void. 
He barely remembered the full events of that night, but he watched the world he knew shift and change in ways that left him feeling empty. Colin and Lydia -- his royal protector and fiancée -- both murdered. Close allies killed or disappeared. Marlow and Elizabeth being crowned Emperor and Empress. Marlow's illness and his early death. Everything Atticus had ever loved or worked for had crumbled into dust. Upon Marlow's death, his painting -- the window to the outside world -- was moved into a storage room that never saw the light of day. 

Years pass. Elizabeth is still the reigning Empress and the Isles have fallen into disarray. 
The current Spymaster is the first to suspect that Emperor Marlow's death was no illness, but murder. He is also the first to discover the very key -- a bone charm -- that pulls him to the very painting of the missing Emperor before Marlow and ....releases him from his prison. 
Now the two of them -- and perhaps some new friends -- must discover a way to take down Elizabeth and restore Atticus to the throne....unless Atticus proves he is no longer worthy, having been in the Void for far too long...it is impossible to say he's still entirely human. 

So, this can also be between an Overseer and Atticus, or the new Royal Protector. The original idea was just the Spymaster. We can tweek it as we see fit. I just love this damn setting so much and Atticus is one of my favorite OC's. He's bi af but Im definitely leaning into a gay romance for him now. After Lydia, he couldn't imagine being with another woman.


3. Aliens. !!!
MxF or MxM. 
I may or may not be playing Subnautica 2's early access and idk. I just want Alien romance on a dangerous water planet xD 
Human's crashed a big ship somehow on this planet. Not sure if it's a single person who -- like in Below Zero -- was looking for clues on what happened to a sibling or something, or if they came with a whole crew and they were just picked off one by one. But it ends with the last human. Alone. Having been watched from afar by an alien race that calls the planet home. We can figure out if they're looking for something or if they're fixing a virus like in the games or what. I'm down for world-building together. But the Alien eventually decides to confront the human and see how the interaction goes. Things build from there. 
I'd like to play the last remaining Human, please.

OR it can be something more Space inspired? Could be a human on a space station by themselves, or a space ship that is currently on a long journey and theyre awake -- unlike the rest of the ship -- to make sure things go to plan or if the ship gets damaged, they can wake a team? Alien ends up coming aboard and they learn more about each others species? Lol Im willing to work with vague ideas to build something together.


4. Magical Academy taboos. High Elf x Human.!!
MxF preferred, but could be MxM. Professor x Student but in an adult setting. Higher education only. Fantasy with multiple races. The Elder Scrolls or DnD influenced. 
A talented mage is a bit of a late bloomer: their magic didn't manifest until their late twenties. They, however, took to magic like flame to parchment and require a teacher with more skill to keep up. 
Thinking a High Elf Professor -- someone who takes on only the most gifted of students -- finds themselves my character's Professor and strangely attracted to the human. They try to ignore it for a time, but with so much time alone? Things heat up quicker than anticipated.
NGL, this is entirely based on a dream I had recently lol We can world-build together.


5. Apocalypse Settings. !
Two ideas possible. 
A. MxM. Cyberpunk setting pre-apocalypse. Humanity destroyed the world as they knew it. Whatever happened caused either Monsters to begin showing up on Earth or animals mutated. Either way, man-eating plants and strange monsters now lurk the world. Humanity no longer lives in large cities. Most high technology was rendered useless after a computer virus spread through people. 
It's at least 15 years after the collapse. My character is searching around for supplies or anything that can be salvaged and stumbles upon either a Cyborg/human personlity downloaded into a robot body or an extremely human-esque robot with an AI. Fully equipped. They're powered off. A little broken, but otherwise still intact. After a bit of tinkering and managing to power them up. Turns out they were shut down and unplugged from the network when the Virus spread, leaving them entirely untouched. Now they both have to work together to survive the world; one having the ability to fight and the other having the knowledge of the current time, with a bit of self-made low-tech gadgets. 
I'd be playing the human scavenger.

B. The Last of Us inspired. !*
MxF. The apocalypse is plant-based. Less undead and more hosts of infected. 
My character is a bit of a loner, even in their small community. After her sister was attacked and killed by an infected, she began isolating even more. The only one who ever got to know her -- truly know her -- was her best friend. Only they know she can control plants.

A horde comes through and nearly wipes out the entire settlement. She and her bestie survive because she lives a little outside the settlement in a treehouse-home she built. They were together. They saw it coming while they were heading back to town, raced to her home, and radioed in to warn them. Some people survived and managed to escape to another settlement that's further away than she's willing to move. This opens up the possibility of leaving -- going on a journey to follow this pull she's had since her abilities manifested. Her bestie isn't willing to let her go alone, even if she offers to, so they don't have to leave their family in this new settlement. 

New Settlement is a cult. lol Seems fine on the surface but is hiding an awful underbelly. Leader becomes obsessed with my character and wants to send people after to her to bring them back. I have more detailed bits for this but am willing and able to world-build.


6. 1-ish MxM. Least favorite idea tho.
Cyberpunk setting. One option is making it more like the first idea. My character is a private investigator from out of the city. Mysterious. New. Ends up in the Red Light District. (Could be part of the job -- prostitutes going missing or being murdered) One takes a shine to him. Seduces and rails him. Now MC can't stay away...he wants more. This could lead into them becoming partners professionally -- getting the other out of the Red Light District and romantically involved. Need that romance.

OR MC doesn't necessarily have to be a detective. Could end up going just being someone new to the city going to the Red Light District to pay for a night. Never been with another man before, but wants to get that over with so they can say they did it and move on with their life. Except they can't. They want more. Romance sparks from there.

It’s alright, I misunderstood. Probably because of how late it is for me lol 
Music is a big inspiration for me, too. I often have songs associated with certain ideas or scenes and end up able to remember them when I relisten to music. Have a whole album I hadn’t listened to since high school respark old memories of ideas I had during the trip I listened to it on. lol 
Making music is cool! 
My cousin is a singer and song writer too :)
