Any Man of Mine! That is my favorite by her. Its so catchy and funny! Now I am listening to it... lol. I sometimes wish she would come back and start singing again, I would love to see what she would come out with today! I do not understand Wagon Wheel, the song in general is creepy to me. I guess it could be that I just do not understand it... Oh! I also love 'itty bitty,' that was my childhood favorite. I could probably sing any disney song you threw at me xD (I'm glad we have cookies! It makes the dark/nerd side more bearable! Lol) I loved Lizzie McGuire! Such a good show.

I posted, by the way!

Also, I just wanted to give a friendly reminder about the PM I sent you the other day ^.^'''
The more she came to know him, the more she listened to his past, the more she realized just how different their pasts were. His mother brought him up single handedly, much like she does for her pack, but back four hundred years ago that would have taken a very strong woman. She grew up in a home with both parents, her father worked the fields, went to market, and dealt with all the financial aspects of the home. Her mother, on the other hand, stayed home, cooked, cleaned, stayed pregnant, watched the children, and homeschooled. Not that there was anything wrong with the way her parents worked together, it was just that she was brought up to believe women were property men took on to run their household and carry on his name.

Avina let her wandering eyes drift back to him. “We were raised in two very different environments, but around the same years. Yet the differences between the values we have is very different.” She sighed and looked down at her hands. How was it that they were so different, yet so similar? The thought made her smile. It had been a very long time since she had ever been so comfortable around another person. She may not have realized it yet, but her guard was fully down for the first time since she killed her own alpha. Brice, her closest and dearest friend, never even made her feel so comfortable that her guard slipped through her fingers. What was it about Devin that made her so comfortable?

Her fingers began to trace his tattoo again as she listened to him tell her that some things were better left forgotten. She was about to disagree when Kiel popped into her mind. Everyday she tried to forget the promise he had made to her when they were human, even while he was trying to continually remind her that they had once been engaged. Reluctantly she nodded her head in agreement. “Yes, somethings are better left in the past.” She agreed. She listened to him talk about others trying to kill his elder and a smile appeared on her face. Elders, alphas, are hard to kill. They have to be to hold their position. Even for werewolves, an alpha dieing is a very rare occurrence.

Her fingers stopped tracing his tattoo, and before she could comment on killing his elder, he grabbed her wrist and pulled it away from his shoulder. Shortly after she was offering him to bite her. Had she lost her mind? Even still, she bravely held out her wrist to him and watched his eyes turn red. The color in his eyes made her want to back down, withdraw her offer, tuck tail and run. However, her wolf, very much awake and paying attention, kept her rooted in the spot. The lack of fear her wolf was showing in the face of a very present danger was not something Avina wanted to analyze. The meaning was not something she wanted to admit to herself at that moment.

Avina expected his mouth to go to her wrist, his fangs to poke a hole near her veins, and pain to erupt from her arm and spread through her body. Instead he used her wrist to pull her into his lap and cradled her to his chest. She would be lying if she said that it was not comfortable and exciting to be held in such a way. His hand gently tilted her head back, and her eyes closed. Fangs pierced her neck and a gasp of pain sounded in her throat before she could stop it. After just a few moments the pain faded but did not disappear. Every pull of blood leaving her body, she could feel. The skin right around the bite cooled down to a normal human temperature, and that coolness continued to spread from her neck to her shoulders, arms, hands, and torso.

It was not blissful, but once she got used to feeling her blood pulled at it started becoming relaxing. As a werewolf, she could lose a lot of blood before it would start to affect her. She could give twice as much as a human could. Then she could feel the lack of blood starting to make her body heavy and her head hazy. She reached up and tapped two fingers against his chest, waited for a minute, then slapped his chest. Pain erupted from her neck again as his fangs retracted from her neck, this time to sound escaped to indicate the pain. Just as his second kiss landed on her neck, the bite marks were already healed. Before she could regain her mind, his lips were pressing against hers in a passionate kiss.

The first, and only time, she had ever been kissed was by Kiel when she was still human. So it took her a moment to realize what he was doing and how to respond. Even still within moments, her hand was reaching for his face and her lips were responding to his. All too soon he was pulling away from her. Her eyes opened to see if there was any regret on his face, to see if he wished he had not gotten carried away and kissed her. Seeing none, she used her hand that was resting on his cheek to draw him back down to her. Her lips found his, but instead of a kiss that was carried away with the passion of a stolen moment it was soft. A sweet and exploring kiss. She shifted herself in his lap so that she was sitting up, all the while keeping her mouth attached to his.
I love Shania Twain! She was my inspiration when I was younger! I grew up on country too, both my parents listened to it. Now my mom only listens to the news and my dad usually listens to oldies, so country has kinda become my thing. You want me to pick one? There are so many! -silently cries- Okay, okay... I will go with Sara Evans - A Little Bit Stronger. It is very empowering. However, I love so many I can't even really pick just one. Lol! I do not mind other music once in a while but my primary music is country. It's always what I am listening to myself when I am by myself. If it is not country it is Disney (yes, I am a nerd), or soft hip-hop like Hilary Duff. Mostly just country though!

Oh good! I was hoping they could enjoy themselves for a moment!
I have not heard of it, but I am listening to it right now as I am typing. Are you a country music fan? It kind of sounds like older country to me. I am a huge country fan (at least todays country music haha). I really like the line "I've always been crazy, but it has kept me from going insane" that is an accurate description of me! Haha. My brain usually leaves during the holidays, it's like "you don't need me right now, I am gonna go take a vacation! Peace out!" hahaha!

I am not planning anything. I just think they should be interrupted and I had a feeling you were up to something ;) I am cool taking the backseat on this one and seeing what your mind has come up with ^.^!

By the way, I am working on a reply. I should have it up with in an hour ish.
I didn't, but the thought crossed my mind a few time! =P

Okay, well I guess you are distracting... I just channeled that distraction into a reward for getting my work done! Is there really such a thing as sane? Aren't we all mostly crazy, I know I am! I just try to keep my mind from getting up and leaving lol! (don't be sorry! Though, if I may ask, what has you in such a great mood?)

I would have to say it would be against her nature to let him get away so easily after he kisses her! I had a feeling it would be from your side, but if I am wrong I can always have one from my side. It depends on what happens in the next couple of posts ^.^
That was great! You have every reason to be proud of that post! You defiantly make me wanna skip class and reply! Lol.

You're not distracting! Part of one of my breaks was replying to this rp. It kept me slightly sane while I tried not to freak out. :)

We do think in the same way, which is so much fun! I have a feeling Avina isn't going to let him pull away so easily. I've been running through sanarios of how she is going to react and how the bite feels for her. In all of the situation the one thing that stays the same is that she doesn't let him pull away or she goes in for another kiss. :) it is a very intense scene but I like it, I have a feeling it's going to end with some kind of conferentation. ^.^ we shall see.
It's cool, no rush! ^.^

I am just slaving away to homework for now. I have so much today it's not even been funny! I started homework around 11 AM and while I have taken about three hour long breaks, I am still going even now. Its currently 9 o'clock for me now. Blah! Seven hours...

I think biting her neck will make it more engaging and meaningful. However, you should do what you think Devin would do. ^.^ Its really nice how we bounce off of each other in our writing! We move quickly when we need to but nothing ever feels forced. Even though they are going to kiss on their second day of knowing each other, I still do not feel like it is rushed. I do not know how our writing together flows so well, but I love it!! :D It's okay, I do not think she is expecting him to believe her yet. It will take time.

Again, no rush. Just get to it when you can :)
Posted! I am getting seriously addicted to this role-play!

It was on the fence, I had to take a step back and think about what Avina would do, not what I wanted her to do. So I wrote out both ways and read over them. I decided her offering her blood was more like Avina then having her pull her hand away in shame and go find a way to clean it off. So I went with her being more bold and holding out her arm for him to take a bite ;) However, if you rather him drink from her neck just have him pull her where he needs her. ^.^ From one intense scene to the next. They started off fighting and ended with offering blood and possibly kissing! The way their interaction slowly changed is really cool. Lol

There is still a long ways to go before I will be willing to kill Kiel, too many things that he can throw at our couple before he can be killed ^.^ I think we both have some powerful characters that can cause a lot of drama! I cannot wait to see how it all goes!
A blush formed once more at his bold statement about enjoying what he saw. This reaction she was having to his comment, the chills going down her spine, the way her stomach felt like it was fluttering, was not something she could put a name to. Even when she was human, she could not remember feeling this type of reaction. “I am glad you like.” She said shyly, her eyes only meeting his for a brief moment. Soon she was changing the subject, back to a safe topic of talking about their species and fighting.

It was normal for supernatural creatures to hold onto the costumes they were taught as human, even if the world around them constantly changed. “I was always taught not to fight. However, I had to learn to break that mentality. If I tried to live by what I was taught, I would not have survived. When I was born, women were to be ladies. We were to be ruled by our husbands, keep our mouths shut, rise the children, take what we were given, and behave. If I tried that in the pack as an alpha, I would be killed.” She laughed and looked down at the ground. “That is probably why the men in my pack used to think I would not survive. Women were never seen as strong.” She shrugged and raised her head again.

Over the years, Avina had developed a view of herself that was defined as being an alpha rather than being a woman. “Just because you are second does not mean you are weak.” she told him in all seriousness. “You have to learn that it is not a position or others that define our strength. Our own beliefs in ourselves is what makes us stronger or weaker.” She put her hand on her heart. “It is right here that defines our strength; once you believe you are stronger than what others think, then you will become stronger.” she dropped her hand and smiled.

Avina sat back on her feet to look at his face as he talked about his wife. She still knelt in front of him, her hand on his shoulder and her face was within inches of his still as he talked about his wife. The gesture of the tattoo was sweet, almost sickening sweet. It reminded her of something she would have done as a human, if she had ever been able to make it to marriage. After his story, her eyes roamed back to where her hand rested on his shoulder. “You should not let it be a faded memory.” her tone was a soft whisper, and her softened eyes traveled back to his. “You should let it empower you. Let it serve as a reminder of how strong you truly are. Only someone who has a strong will can go against their creator as a changeling. This tattoo should be a daily reminder that you are stronger than you think.” She smiled a soft, almost sad smile.

“I bet your current Elder is not strong enough to hold you either.” She knew she was going out on a limb but she saw in him a spirit that looked just like she did years ago. She had believed herself to be a second in command, a weak worthless monster. It was that thought of defeat that had allowed her pack members to control her for so long. “I bet you have the strength to not be held down by anyone, Elder or not.” She would not let him doubt himself, even if she had to believe in him for him for a while. About that time he yanked her hand away from his chest. Her eyes flickered to her hand that was covered in almost dry blood then back to his that were starting to turn darker. It never occurred to her that her blood would have bothered him so much.

Gently, she pulled her hand away from his grip and pulled it to her chest, making sure not to smear it on his shirt. “I’m sorry. I did not know it was bothering you…” A crazy idea came to her mind. “Don’t kill me, but you can have some of my blood. It probably will not taste good to you, and it won’t be a full meal, but it might be able to help keep you from going crazy.” As a werewolf, she understood hunger. Maybe not for blood, but for raw meat. Werewolves were always hungry and craving for meat, and if they go too long without it they can get aggressive which often turns to violence. Avina did not feel like battling a hungry vampire. “Here.” She held at her hand, wrist up, and still covered in blood. Every muscle in her body was tense, waiting for him to grab her wrist, sink in his teeth, and for the pain to take over. It was all she could do not to squeeze her eyes shut.
I shall start working on your reply once I get this paper written! ^.^

The title of my searching thread was "the darker side" or something like that. Lol ^.^ Him licking/drinking her blood doesn't bother me in the least! So long as you don't actually kill my character (without permission) then I don't mind. I am forewarned? Oh goodie! I look forward to it!! I am thinking of having her offer some of her blood to him, but I am not sure. I am on the fence of having her offer.

When it comes time to have them form their own clan, we can talk about how many characters we want to bring along with them. At the moment, I am thinking two each. That way there are not too many side characters to have to worry about. Or maybe just one... I don't know yet. :) He can kill Cadence! If Avina is around, she might even help him! That is if he wanted her to. I don't think I will want to kill off Kiel just yet; I have too much in mind for his character. -evil laugh-

I look forward to learning about this twist you have up your sleeve! It might spark a twist of my own that I will throw in beside it. Ya never know! ^.^
