Current I'm a pretty good writer and former site staff; I still deal with imposter syndrome every time I log on. You're definitely not alone. And t's worth trying anyway.

I just finished The Secret History, a very Gen X book. Never Let Me Go before that, which I'd recommend to any writer outside the MFA atmosphere who wants to know emotonal restraint.

"The entire weight of human history is in your hands."

This game will focus on a small group of mutants brought together by the Allies under the Strategic Science Reserve shortly before the D-Day invasion. While most of the world knows nothing of the emergence of mutants, this group has been brought together in the hope they can help turn the tide of war against the Nazis and their secret weapon; HYDRA. For now they gather in England to acquaint themselves to the new group, and with the objectives awaiting them across the English Channel. But the eve of invasion nears, and with it the beginning of a deadly adventure.

IC Details:
  • The game begins at Royal Air Field Upottery, in South Devon, England one month before D-Day.
  • Storyline events will skirt historical events, and at times might even fictionalize something about a historical event.
  • As the same mutant generation of Magneto and Charles Xavier, this will likely be your character's first interaction with other mutants.
  • Since there are so few mutants currently, those that exist tend to be powerful like Magneto and Xavier. Don't be shy in having a powerful characters; in this setting it only fits.
  • Reality/time altering powers aren't allowed. Powerful, but not godly, characters.
  • Characters should fit the 21-28 age range.
  • Your character can be from a military, civilian, academic, scientific, intelligence, etc, background. Howard Stark and the SSR has literally combed the globe for this group.

OOC Details:
  • Post Character Sheets to the OOC for review. Accepted sheets will then get posted in the Characters tab.
  • The game is Casual to High Casual. The required posting pace is only a few times a week.
  • Everyone is expected to act like an adult in the OOC. Any conflicts should be addressed in PMs.
  • The game is set for a small group of characters.
  • Canon characters may show up IC, but they cannot be applied for.
  • Although the game has a general plot outline and story to follow, feel free to offer ideas.
  • GMs are DizzyIsabella, and myself. Contact us should you need anything.

Questions? Feel free to ask. We're here to help.
Interested if there is still room.

Yep!
Working on the OOC now.
Very interested, but I would need to know if a lot of Marvel knowledge would be required? I'm a big superhero RP fan but I don't know very much about the comics.

It would help if you've seen the Marvel movies.

As for needing to know a lot of Marvel knowledge...no, because the game will take place BEFORE most the Marvel Universe as most know it even gets going.

It would help to know a little something about WWII.
Interested. Would Iron Fist be acceptable for this?

He would not, sorry.
So is this just reimagining of heroes or are we making our own ones? Also would a Blade esque character be allowed? As in half-vampire with essentially the same powers as him? It's fine if it's not allowed, I can always make another character.

OC mutants only.

Any reason I can't Like/Laugh/etc a status from someone's User/Bio page?
For now, I'm just floating this bare-bones interest check.

The idea for the game is pretty simple: we all know mutants aren't allowed in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) for purely capitalistic reasons. As GMs and storytellers, we have no such limits. Most recently, after gunning through Agent Carter, I got the idea it might be fun if Cap and the Howling Commandos weren't the ONLY group doing good things in the MCU during World War II.

Enter mutants.

Small group game based on a team of mutants recruited by SSR to help defeat the Axis powers. That's the premise, still working out the details of a storyline/plot. But as it's something of an odd idea for a comic game, I thought it best to float this and see if anyone has an interest before moving forward. But as we would have the whole of WWII and early Marvel history to draw on...I'm guessing we could come up with something fun.

It would be a Casual to High Casual game. I would be the GM, with a perspective Co-GM in DizzyIsabella.

Any interest? Lemme know. Questions? Don't hesitate to ask them.

Thanks!
