Current I'm a pretty good writer and former site staff; I still deal with imposter syndrome every time I log on. You're definitely not alone. And t's worth trying anyway.

I just finished The Secret History, a very Gen X book. Never Let Me Go before that, which I'd recommend to any writer outside the MFA atmosphere who wants to know emotonal restraint.

So it's kind of like the Guardians but with folks from the multiverse, right?

Up to the players. All the characters could come from 616--either the present, the past, the future, or another verse, yeah.
Hey folks!

For a while I've been contemplating a Marvel game that wasn't the unusual bit of comic fair. Marvel's recent announcement of a Guardians of Infinity, a spin-off of two Guardians of the Galaxy books (the normal and the 3000) struck an idea in me. It could be fun to have a small team be forced on a run through time and space to save, well, all of time and space. (Characters may even find themselves in a completely different universe at some point--lookin' at you, DC.)

I've got a pretty solid base idea for a plot, though I'm leaving certain aspects of it open-ended so if this goes to an OOC thread, I can possibly get suggestions from players, and of course so character creation can be as free-form as possible. I considered putting this in the Advanced section, but I've got a lot of experience with Casual comic players, and have a very high opinion of them as a whole. Still, probably safe to consider this a High Casual project.

Characters can be a mix of MCU and the comic universe. I'd even be down for some 2099 characters, or an Old Man Logan. And, of course, I'd hope for a few Guardians, but that'd be up to the players. But I'm not looking for a large group; in my experience small groups tend to move more efficiently in RPs.

Anyway, got questions? I got answers.

Thanks!

More: Games I want to join. Yeah, it's greedy, but hey.

Less: Loner characters. Best for solo fiction; god awful for group play.

Absolutely.

Yes, there would a whole world beyond the village. Kingdoms, cities, various cultures and religions.

If you're familiar with the Wheel of Time series, the hometown village (Emond's Field) where it begins would be a starting comparison. Except Aeredal is far more insular and uncaring of events outside their village.

I am leaving the rest of the world open to player creativity in creation of your characters. The only thing I would be hesitant of (that comes to mind at the moment) is a king/queen in hiding type of situation.

I hope that helps, in some way. The rest of the world is left intentionally vague as Aeredal has no care for it. If there is something specific you wanted to run by me, feel free to PM me as well.

Hey! I read the first book of that series!...finally a WoT reference I understand. ^_^
