I just finished The Secret History, a very Gen X book. Never Let Me Go before that, which I'd recommend to any writer outside the MFA atmosphere who wants to know emotonal restraint.

These threads almost never work well despite best intentions, so I don't blame Nutty for locking it, though I do enjoy seeing the good faith responses in these.

Nutty already did the line by line, so I'll simply add: PM/DMs. They're always open, and you will get a response. Anyone who wants to have this conversation with me, just find me there and I'm happy to have it. I don't think I've ever been too busy for it, even if it means waiting for a response or two.

One thing I didn't see Nutty mention: some of the changes in staff reactions over the years reflect policy changes handed down. Worth noting.
