Some people don't know this, however gold makes a better conductor then copper. So anyone working on tech would most likely be willing to trade a rare tool or gun for gold.

Oh the techs have buckets of the stuff, the older Risen came with all their jewelry and once they stressed the need for silver and gold collection it began in earnest. Some techs use Diamonds to etch things

I know some might think "What a Diamond!" but practical people would give you a bucket of the stuff for a useful and rare tool or gun

I can see some wearing glittery things in town but in the wilderness, the flash can be seen at a distance

Trevor's group from Fort Stevens is joining us soon

So we will camp at the falls one more day so that we can cache any critical supplies, wiring and plumbing can be retrieved by whoever Lasthope sends to pick up all the lovely goods.

We will take the Jewelry with us because it is light trade goods and some people still hold it in regard.

The Gunshots will mean stronger watches when we move and camp, we know that gunfire draws the Risen eventually some traveling miles

I know I haven't posted for Jain or Petra but I can say they have different ideas of what to do in the daylight. Petra is laughing and watching her kids wrestle with little Ursala happy the cub's adaptation is occurring quickly.

Jain has been on her mule watching the sweeps and if anyone wants to find her after the sweeps they can find her at the edge of the subdivision casually putting an arrow through the eye of a Risen at 200 feet who'd been attracted by the gunshot which has her cursing
