Banha, for the first time in his life, had no idea what to do. His finger went to the trigger, to the command to these armoured giants surrounding them. "Shoot." That's he would've said if he was suicidal however. Nova had told them this was to be a simple diplomatic mission, not a bloody "hit-and-take-all-the-shit" run. If he had told them, they would've been prepared for all of this. For a commander, he knew how important Intel is. And he gave them fuck all. He glanced towards Rivard. This was his people and he could sympathise with that. He was sure that the New Yakuza was slowly being transported from his galaxy to Arcadia-1, unwillingly leaving their worlds behind. He was sure that Anhur was already burning, billions of people dead. And he could do nothing.
First, he stared into the eyes of Cyano and then Ruiko. "This was not your fault, Ruiko-san. You didn't know what would've happened when you released the orb. If you didn't do so, I would've been killed and Rivard killed. Do not listen to imbecile, dumb sacks of pus and faeces that call himself a 'leader' to lead you astray." He then took his gaze towards the scientist.
"Rivard, I know how you feel. I've seen trillions of people burn, slaughtered in droves, babies thrown to their captors for mercy, death on a thousand worlds. That hardens you. Makes you unfeeling. Emotionless. I sympathise with you, friend. This was your people, friends and family." He bowed slightly towards his direction before turning back towards the Ethereal. "But I still have a job to finish, no matter how much I hate it or how much shit had gone down." He gestured for the space marines to stand down but be on alert. No matter how many calls for diplomacy these Outiners make, he personally wouldn't believe them and flash them another middle finger.
When crazy she-beast began mocking Ruiko again, he almost turned to throw the bandolier of grenades at her and piss on the corpse of his enemy. Instead, he took a disgusted glance at her as she morphed back into her human form and then glanced at the most sane representative in the room. "Look, we didn't come here to look for a fight. Us three" he gestured towards him, Rivard and Ruiko "were simple diplomats sent by Nova to talk about the relations between our two organisations." He then paused to gesture towards the corpses of reptilians and the space marines. "Now I have no idea why Nova sent these men for reinforcement and the Lizards for robbing you. I do know that I have a mission to complete."
He glanced at Ruiko. "But I am afraid that I can't finish it without the help of certain individuals." He would understand if she backed off now, it would be the right thing to do. He would come with her and face Nova's wrath together. Right now, all he wanted to do was blow this whole motherfucker down. But that was suicidal. '
