"Sounds fun." He smiles.
He nods, and opens his arms. "It's a long flight there."
He reaches out to his home, and summons the mirror. "Where did this ring come from? Why can't I remember her?" He wills the scrying magic to show him the things he's forgotten.
He smiles. "If only it worked that way."
"As soon as you can get a few clean shots at the goblin, and I get you out of the underworld."
He picks up the ring, but he doesn't remember it. "I'm sorry, if I hurt you....but....I don't know you." He sounds shaken. "Why do I have no memory of this? I know this ring, I know your face. But I can't say from where. It feels like a half forgotten dream." He stumbles backwards. "What happened to me?" He sinks down his staff until he's kneeling on the ground, and whispers to himself. "Who am I?"
He carefully rests his head on her shoulder, and softly hugs her.
"Coated in venom. Or a throwing knife. Or any projectile weapon really."
