He doesn't flinch when she slaps him, and braces himself on his staff. "How? How can I fix all the pain I've caused, all the people I've hurt? Many of them are dead, because of my actions." He doesn't look at Angel, but he does respond to her. "You have no reason to."
He kneels down on the pavement. "I'm trying to remember. I want to be a better man. But.......I don't know how, anymore." His head drops down to his chest. "I don't deserve to live."
"I got desperate. I made some stupid decisions, and it corrupted me."
He taps his staff against his leg as he thinks. "What are your hobbies?"
His skin is warm, as if hundreds of smoldering embers lie just beneath the surface. He spreads his wings, and takes off, holding on to her as he begins flying though the blazing terrain.
"Is there something you need to talk about?"
"I....needed power. I was told that I was worthless, a mistake, all my life. Something in me....broke. I just......wanted to prove them wrong."
"I do need you to hold on. Do you find something wrong with that?" His face is devoid of any emotion.
He smiles broadly. "You have such a great laugh."
