Guard 1: god damn, they need to hurry this up.
Guard 2: what's your rush?
Guard 1: I'm missing my kid's recital for a play she's in, just to make the extra cash from this job... but I'll be able to get her that new phone she wanted for sure.
Guard 2: ah, the life of a merc parent. Hows that going for ya?
Guard 1: ... not well.
Red: anything useful yet?
Just something about the guards kid needing a new phone.
He smiles, not noticing that his fangs are now exposed.
"I've been hiding for so long." He shrugs.
"What?" He looks into her eyes.
He smiles, and reaches up, stopping near his head. "Should I take my hood off?"
He nods. "Ok. It 'll take a while, if ever, for my memories to return." He lightly touches her hand, softly rubbing it.
"Or....what?" He smiles slightly. "I'm the same way. I never had any interest in mortals, because what mortal would want a devil as a companion? There are those who'd have a child with one, true, but to stay with one?"
