I know Shi is not your character which is why I said I would wait, I did not ask for you to control her. Though I think the main problem is actually Kitsune, who most truly failed to notice characters other than his or her own, and yours. I've just examined.

Next, while character driven, you are still GM, as you said yourself, we're getting to the meat of the Rp, so grit your bloody teeth and control just for a bit longer while we establish the beginning of Rp alright. You still have a job to do by establishing the Rp's beginning.

Pretty much. The players on that forum though gave me a good standard. Their writing quality was high, and they were committed, they didn't rapid-fire posts, but they would play to the very end. Every rp there we finished.

I directly interacted with Shi, indirectly with others, and actively attempted to catch everyone's attention, the problem is that you write your posts as if there are only three people present. You don't even make a passing acknowledgement to other characters. In your posts, we don't exist, and that is the problem. Write from now on as if other characters exist, it's even more important as GM because players are required to know where they fall within each scene.

I will wait on Shi first though. I did directly interact with her.

Thing I had to deal with on the site I was on before here was GMs and players constantly making and joining rps that never went past the prologue. Rps I opened and one other person were the only ones who managed to pass prologue. There wasn't even a remotely large enough playerbase to support that lifestyle. I tell them this, they that think I'm crazy for calling them out on that and now I'm here just watching from afar as their section on that forum teeters off in activity, and I'm just laughing.

Most of them are genuinely horrible people though, so I don't mind. I hope they disappear and get sick of the lack of activity so I can return and dance on their corpses.

The full story is more complicated but that's basically my origin. No one asked, but whatever.
