It's not really reservation, I think we went through that. You can choose which you prefer, but if someone else also wants it you can contest it too.
Probably make a system and rules for that right now before the RP goes live. Random number generator is great, but it's only a tool, not a system. You'll need to quickly design one with rules. For instance a rule on what know Nd of Pokemom live where. Encounters in the city happen too by the way, if you read, some Pokemom have urban areas listed as their habitat.
Well I am sorry if I sound rude, but generally I've GM'd RPs for quite some time now, and these little mistakes I know for a fact are what kills RPs.
Where I came from, these kinds of mistakes would lead to them being immediately dead. No chance at revival after even 2 days if no one posts. Seriously. You are lucky to have players who are still coming back to this and posting whenever they can or feel like it (which happens to also be whenever they can).

I have two questions.
How do we roll random encounters? I mean I really don't think people should be reserving full parties, because that sucks the fun out of going on a journey in the first place. I distinctly remember having waaaaaaaay more fun randomly meeting Pokemon in an old Pokemon RP than if I were to be able to predetermine which Pokemon I obtained, in fact it's the reason I prefer Umbreon so much now.
In that particular RP I randomly encountered the rarest encounter in a particular area, that being Umbreon. First attempt at it failed, but I managed to... For lack of better word, RP my way into a 2nd battle, and I managed to capture it with an almost completely fainted party of two Pokemon.
It felt like I just enacted my very own episode of Pokemon. It was great.
And the last question is if I do encounter a Snivy, can it be shiny? Also, are you allowed to encounter Pokemon as eggs first? I would probably choose that for my shiny Snivy honestly.
I will fill the last 4 in my slot with Pokemon I meet however.

But. They. Are. Going. To. Be. Part. Of. It. Anyway. That's why they joined this whole RP in the first place. They can do their reflection in a flashback or make up their mind on the moment they are to make their decision too. My guy is already mafia, the hell is he going to do? The hell are some other characters going to do? There's nothing interesting happening in the immediate vicinity anyway. It's a boring day that 90% of people would hit the skip button for if there was one in order to get to the meaty story bits.
Your entire plan for reflection backfired. It just bored us. It was redundant because we all joined this RP making characters who we already planned in advance to become part of mafia anyway. There was nothing to keep us asking questions or doing anything, you basically just told us to go sit in the corner until time was up.
I am also in regular contact with Amaterasu, we're simply WAITING. Demon Shinobi was on a week ago. He's also waiting. Grey also posted within the last week and is likely waiting too.
We were all waiting. You are not considering the other players at all, or at the very least, you're trying too hard by giving us this time. The only character who can use this time well was YOUR character, no one else. Literally just your character was the only one who could use this nothing-to-do day well. Because he was the one to become boss. The REST OF US HOWEVER. Are still merely CANDIDATES, meaning the gravity of the choice is a few times heavier for your character than ours, thus meaning only your character needed this time to reflect.
Some of us tried to have fun too as I can see, but it stopped short because I believe it was pretty forced.

I think you should keep the number around where it is and work on methods to keep the RP organized when we get even 15+ players.
