"Hmmm... Well some of you can work on the truck, it'll only take around two to extract the battery, so just another two to watch it. We should split up into two parties, one party will try and get the gate working, and the other will find another way in. We have radios to contact one another anyways in case something goes sideway too", he suggested. The last part would be which team goes scouting for a new entry point, and which team stays for the gate. Luke was right, it wasn't going to take all of them to get the battery out. There were also eight of them here in total too.

"If we both manage to succeed on our assignments, we'll simply meet up inside. This way we can cover more ground more quickly", and they would be in their full teams of four not to mention. They should be safe from all but the strongest of Grimm if they do their part in combat.
Radio comms? Well, the team leaders have walkie-talkies to contact IFRA and Goodwitch on the airship, and one another. That's about it, unless someone in armory made radio headsets.

Also, Gingerboi is totally gone. Time to dig into that waiting list.

Good enough.
We all have radio comms right?

Also where is everyone for KNVS?
Should we wait a bit and give the rest of Bastille a chance to get something in?
Background and choice picture gave it away.

This thick air was taking time to get used to, but eventually he managed. He did find himself getting tired a little more quickly, but it wasn't too much of an issue. Looks like being the leader meant he got the flare gun too to use in case of an emergency. As the trekked through the area, they eventually came to a gate, with a terminal beside it. He began examining the terminal, but all he gathered was that it was off... He had no deep understanding of the parts within. Maybe Cian had better luck?

"Hey Cian, can you take a look at this?", he called over to her. Though as he did, Luke blurted out that he spotted something around the corner, and the moment he did, Jack also looked... Or rather, he looked before Luke said anything. His keen senses felt it too, and his eyes caught the movement...

"That couldn't be a survivor... I don't think they'd skulk around in the shadows like that. We should keep an eye out, might be some kind of sneaky Grimm", that said, they shouldn't go looking for it either unless they absolutely have to. If it was the sneaky kind, they would try and ambush the team.

"Well... let's see what we can do about the terminal", he said, referring not just to his team, but also Bastille.
Date fixed.
Where is team BASL by the way? JMCL is waiting for them.
<Snipped quote by Krayzikk>

I took the term 'bad guy' as the deciding factor here. To me, bad guy is not debatable; to have bad as the main qualifier, you've got to be doing so much bad that the label envelops the character. This isn't Wreck-it Ralph. To be on the opposing side isn't enough, and to accomplish good things in bad ways is to be degrees of an anti-hero. The reason Grane qualified is because he hasn't accomplished anything good, and it's up to real debate whether or not he ever will. That's part of the tragedy. It makes him a bad guy; all the great things that Ben has done for people make him a good guy with a bad rap by some people. If I want evil, I'd rather have an evil character than just evil methods. I'll admit that evil is a broad term, and murderlusting serial killers have a place there at one end of the spectrum, but I'm not at all, I don't think, encouraging a generic standard. The top five entries were all unique, despite the fact that they all killed people.

As for you bringing up the canon...why? Our contests are something that's non-canon in a non-canon fan work of an actual thing. The most creative liberties can be taken here.

I'm sorry my judging style didn't appeal to you. Your main post is right, there's an unclear metric in play: me. I can't give a real metric of what I like and don't like, and the limited scope of what I ask for compared to the massive spectrum of what I got. I could only draw the line in the sand after combing the beach. If that makes me suck as a judge, so be it, but if nobody makes a contest for a month, I'll be the one that does it, and people have only to not participate to make me stop.

I think finding the measurement was incredibly difficult to begin with anyways. There are villains who are evil because they like what they do, and what they like to do is evil. There are villains who commit evil, because they truly believe it is right, and on the grey ground of that, what they do isn't completely wrong either and that is what drives them, simply because it is a lesser evil. Then there are villains who do evil because it's their job, but it doesn't stop people from disliking them. It's a measurement of intentions and actions. You can even have an evil character who has been doing good, but only towards his own ends and forwarding his own plans, and in the end, pulls the wool over everyone's eyes.

Evil was difficult to measure and judge, not only because of how many different and different measurements of them there were, it was also because they didn't have a hero to be evil to.

I think the contest should have been making a direct villain to our own characters, rather than an evil version of them. One of the most interesting aspects of a villain, is their fight against the heroes, and that is what I think the contest lacked.
Warakuma High - After School
3/6/2015 Wednesday

The next day started and sure enough Sato and Kotori were at school again. It seems some people knew they went missing, likely from their parents, who were likely gossipers. He saw a lot of visitors come after he left Kotori's ward in the hospital the other day, with all that's happened, he knew this was a good turnout for her. In any case, the school day ended fairly normally, just a few students who failed were called out to retake their exams later in the week. Rui who scored well didn't need to. It was a Wednesday, so Kendo and Kyuudo were both on. He saw Kami earlier today, and he said he would be out looking for more clues.

He was trying to leave his schedule open in case Kotori and Sato wanted to ask him about the whole shadows affair. To be honest he didn't know much about it, and when he thought about it he couldn't find a meaning beyond just helping people, because that was the right thing to do. Then again, everyone was becoming steady friends, but he couldn't feel that vibe with Kazuki and his group... Except for Megumi, but she was the only one actively being open with everyone.

"Oh well whatever...", when was summer holidays... A month and a half from now... Well, this month was going to be a long one, he thought to himself, as he headed to the club building. Maybe he should go Kyuudo again, since he hadn't shown up there in ages.
