Current The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation.

They say it's about the journey, not the destination. This is true of many things. Pizza delivery is not one of them.

TFW you know what you want to happen but the words aren't cooperating. Why is plot suddenly so much harder to write?

Glad to see I'm not the only follower of Lord Cato, god of wisdom, on this most auspicious Superb Owl Sunday.

Bio

I am an adult, though I don't usually act like it. I'm a voracious reader, and not overly picky about books. I am artistic in a variety of areas, including music, drawing, writing, and sculpting. I have a minor obsession with dragons, and love the color violet. Fantasy is my preferred genre, be it past, future, urban...as long as it has a fantasy flavor to it. I also like scifi, mystery, and some horror. I am crazy, and I like tormenting my characters. But I don't bite...much. ^.~

@LostBrotherGrimm Nikki's not evil. She's a prankster, and excitable.
It wasn’t long after she joined Blank on the high bluff above the meeting point that Nikki spotted a distinctive glider. Eli, flubbing the landing as usual. “C’mon, we should get down there,” she told Blank, but the young man outright refused. The cliff was a perfectly good launching place, and it didn’t have all those people. She pouted but to no avail. “Well, fine, you stay up here if you really want to. I don’t want to miss it if there’s an announcement or something. But you better not go too far without me, got it?”

With that, the excitable woman pulled out her glider and opened it, plunging off the edge of the bluff and sweeping downwards toward where the crowd waited. She aimed for Eli -- the younger boy would doubtless gravitate toward Blin and Rahna, if she’d missed their arrival. A grin spread across her face as she noted where her shadow lay -- approaching her friend, it trailed behind. Perfect if she wanted to give him a scare -- and why not? Nikki chuckled to herself and changed her angle, dropping down a few yards earlier than her initial intention. The rest of the distance she covered in a quiet dash, until she was /right/ behind Eli. “Yaaah!” With a shout, she jumped him, completely disregarding the backpack in the way. It’d mean finding purchase for an impromptu piggyback ride would be difficult, but knocking him over would work just as well.
I should bring in Angie. And maybe Merris, though he's an anthro lizard guy. But he has a lisp!

AG: Shaddup, ya idjit. Y'know I c'n talk perf'ctly un'erstan'able if'n I wanna do so. S'jus' I dun wanna much!
@AlexStarsion I like it, and he's easier to understand than one of my characters. You're doing well with him.

@Mokley When in doubt, roll the dice. And you can use a dice roll any time to figure out how good -- or bad -- the outcomes are. <3 I prefer d20 myself.
Amuné had left out the fact that the people Cecil attacked were dead. And she'd left out the part about his maybe-vision. She knew how she'd feel, if someone shared the nature of her gift without asking her. But she'd needed to tell Norman about the rest, it was the only way the Machina could get better. And she didn't think he remembered all of it, since he hadn't seemed like he noticed what was going on much. The mechanic dismissed her and she shuffled back to Ethan, though her attention kept straying back to the scene by the cart. Expression a mix of concerned and upset, the girl slid her arms around Ethan's waist, not saying anything for the moment. She was shaken all over again after remembering the mess back on the boat, and she needed the reassurance that everyone was still okay. Well, except for the pirates...and the men in suits. Amuné shivered and made a muffled noise, burying her face in the Muran's side.

Wyth pressed his head against her back, trying to reassure his girl in his own way. She was away from the dangerous boy, and she'd eaten that day, and she had people to help look after her if she needed something the moorcat couldn't do. For the most part, she'd been doing better since they'd met these people. Her fur was more orderly, and her mood had improved, among other thngs.
I've ventured into advanced often enough in search of a good story that I now tend to shy away from short paragraphs without significant details. *shuffles* I am usually able to work out time zones with pretty much anyone. But that's just me. I can't speak for anyone else.
Eh, it depends on if people mind a lot of very short posts, which is what makes a rapid conversation flow quickly. Eventually you're going to end up using filler narrative you've already stated because the chars are saying more, but nothing new is really happening. *shrug* Granted, it helps to have time, but you can also post back-and-forth in a doc just as fast as on a forum, and that way you can also edit back and forth easier. It's when you need to discuss things with the players that it gets messy.
@tex You can't have Blank without Nikki; it wouldn't happen. Also other plot. And if you take Nikki, she's going to try to bring Blin, Rahna, and Eli, though she wouldn't be /too/ upset if they broke off as long as she stays with Blank.

Additionally, Blank doesn't want a large group, and I know he would prefer himself or just himself and Nikki, maybe one other person. ^.^;;

Lee and Kelari go together, I know
@Mogtaki Haa, aww~ Amune left out the killing people because she didn't want to portray Cecil too badly. And she didn't include the seeing things because she knows about how /she/ would have felt, if someone else spread that around. <3 It'll be okay, Cecil! *pats*
