Alex returned the hug as Naisha embraced her, holding her close. "Yeah... Probably didn't expect to have a magic user like you here." she chuckled softly but frowned at the mention of the Queen and the sad expression her lover gave. Gently hugging Naisha closer and kissing her forehead comfortly, she headed back into the village. The villagers were around the Queen, whom was resting on a stretcher of furs. The Queen didn't look to well, she was sweating quite a bit and her breathing was ragged. Most of her physical wounds already seemed to be mended up thanks to the elves. Amalthea was knelt beside Karette, her hands glowing with a comforting green mystical glow that moved over the body. Healing the Queen the best she could as others watch with utter nervousness. Murmurs muttering among the crowd.
When Naisha asked, Alana stood from beside Amalthea and looked to them. "Amalthea managed to heal most of the physical wounds... but even the best healer of the village can't seem to dispel the poison... Queen Karette is strong... and that may be the only reason why she's still alive." the elf said softly as she glanced toward the Queen whom coughed and opened her lavender eyes slowly, teeth clenching a bit.
"...Y-Your Majesty... you should rest." Amalthea said softly.
"It's fine Amalthea. Don't worry." Queen Kareete responded before giving a wheezing sound as she took a breath. "Mhm. Krieli'nas is going to be quite cross when she finds out about this. I almost don't want to tell her who did this, but she'll find out anyway. She's quite cross when it comes to low tactics like that." she said with amusement. It wasn't exactly looked highly upon for a Dual for the Throne to involve using magic or artifacts. Because that meant they relied on another strength, not their own. But Karette supposed Zira didn't think she'd win otherwise. Karette coughed again then glancing to the Alex and Naisha and smiled.
"Thank you. You two fought well. I owe you another night of attention." Queen Karette chuckled weakly, despite her condition, managed to poke and tease a bit.
Alex blushed but quickly shook her head. "Anytime, those bastards had it coming... Can't you call the witch or something to get her to help?" she questioned with a frown.
Karette took a breath and shook her head slowly. "Indeed but Krieli'nas has her duty to the Great Tower of The Witches. She simply can't come running back when she has her duty to attend to. She has other people to protect, just as my duty is protect my people. Course... That won't stop her from throwing her own special kind of hissy fit when she finds out about this." she chuckled lovingly before having to catch her breath again.
"Well if there is anything we can do? A cure or something?" Alex asked, fists clenching a bit.
"There is a cure. Zira didn't seem to think I was experienced with magic, but I've had my share of knowledge of it. Had to in my travels in order to fight it. That artifact she had was crafted by a Dark Lord. Deceit I believe. The cure is probably in his temple up north to the unknown territory. His pet Chimera's blood. But I wouldn't ask anyone to go there. It's too dangerous. Deceit could be there... Hiding... Preying for a soul to go there." Karette said softly, her voice getter softer.
"Well I'm not afraid of going! How bout you Nai?" Alex boasted.
